Grace & Beauty February Style Picks

Grace-&-Beauty-February-Style-PicksFebruary is here! Which means we are one month closer to spring, yippee!! I have my eye on a few items this month. I’m thinking of early spring pieces.

Here are my February Style Picks….

February-Style-Picks

White jeans//Crop flare jeans//Chambray shirt//Striped ruffle sweater//Slim ankle pant//Gold flat//Slip on sneaker//Trench coat

  • We all know you can wear white jeans year round but my white jeans are looking a little dingy so I’m going to purchase a new pair. These Sarah skinny jeans are on my list.
  • I saw these crop flare jeans at Banana Republic, I didn’t have time to try them on, but I’m going to go back. I’m seeing the crop flare a lot this spring.
  • I love a chambray shirt and this one looks so comfy and would be great paired with the white jeans.
  • I keep seeing ruffles popping up for spring. I love the feminine look of ruffles when it’s simple and not overdone. I’m looking at this striped ruffle sweater for early spring.
  • Ankle pants are another trend and I need a good pair of black ones for church or dressier occasions.
  • I’m obsessing over a pointed toe gold flat (I don’t know why) but I’m going to get some for spring. Any metallic shoe is going to be on trend for spring.
  • I saw a lot of slip on sneakers at the Spring Market in Dallas. I’m not overly crazy about them but I’m going to give them a try.
  • I love a classic trench coat. I wore my other one out so I’m going to add a new one for spring. I wear this with dresses and jeans when the weather is cool in the spring.

So, these are my February style picks. I’m ready to start sharing some spring styles but winter is not over yet!

Our Spring series will begin in March. Jo-Lynne and I were thinking about when to start the series.

Are you ready to start seeing spring style March 1st or would you rather we wait until March 15th?? Are you still purchasing winter clothes or are you thinking spring?

If you would like to receive my posts in your inbox, you can sign up to receive my daily emails and you’ll never miss a thing. I’m also on FacebookPinterest and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~I don’t have it all together when it comes to exercising and clean eating. I’m still learning!  What I am trying to do is take steps to live a healthier lifestyle.

I love how scripture talks about our bodies. I think God cares how we take care of them. It’s not about being skinny, it’s about being healthy.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Have a blessed day!

  1. March 1st please! I live in So. Cal and it is in the mid 80’s all week! 😄☀️And I love gold shoes and accessories! Love your blog!

  2. Living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada we’ve had enough of winter and would love to see some spring fashion sooner rather than later. Thanks so much for the uplifting blog and biblical quotes to keep us grounded on God.

As a fellow “Fixer Upper” t.v. show fan, I really appreciated your blog on the Gaine’s new store Magnolia in Waco, TX. They are a great couple!

Thanks for your lovely blog…it makes my day! I’m looking forward to seeing what magic you work with the white jeans.

  3. Here in Raleigh our groundhog didn’t see his shadow, so Spring is coming soon and March 1 sounds perfect.
I’m gonna have to take a pass on the cropped flare. Relaxed capris and cropped pants make my legs look short and thick.

  4. Hi. Cyndi,
Love your blog as always, I look forward to my daily read. Here in the Uk,
our style is just the same as that in the US. I was watching a fashion piece on tv just last week and they were saying how the crop flare Jean is going to be the must have piece along with the metallic flats. I’m looking forward to trying them but at 52 not sure if I can pull it off but am going to have a darn good try., unless my 17 year old daughter says otherwise😂
Let’s have the Spring fashion starting March 1st, even if the weather isn’t going to be warm enough, here in the UK freezing cold, at least it will give us something to look forward to.
Loved your interior house shots last week, I too will be moving at some point should the planning department ever let us have permission to build our new home. More please when you move, I love interior design also.
    Happy blogging
    Nicky X

      1. Hi Terri,
Thanks for your nice comment. Yay let us 50 somethings embrace
Our age and enjoy fashion. Rock it we will.
Cyndi does a fab blog for us and I enjoy reading it from over here
        in the UK.
        Happy weekend
        Nicky x

  5. I’m hoping skinny jeans disappear soon from the fashion trend. I have an hourglass figure size 10 and they make my hips look too big. Thank you for everyones comments. It’s great to see fashion for women 40+.

  6. I vote for March 1st for spring trends to begin! I always enjoy your blog, Cyndi. You are absolutely precious.

  7. Hi Cindy,
I really enjoy your effort, style, and faith. I live in Chicago where we’ll have plenty of winter yet. I’d love to see spring posts mid March as that’s when I shed my winter layers regardless of that groundhog’s predictions!

  8. I’d vote March 15 although I’ll enjoy the series any time. 🙂 I’m the odd one who likes fall and winter clothes better than spring and summer ones. I like 3/4 and long sleeves, sweaters, tights, boots, and scarves. When it gets hot, I just want to hibernate in the air conditioning!

    1. Oh my goodness, Suzanne..you sound exactly like me !!!!! I love the layered look for the cooler temps. I have even been walking outside here in the Midwest sometimes even by the Mississippi River !!! My vote is for mid March as well.

Love everything u share with all of us, Cyndi…so uplifting and encouraging !!!! Bless you !!

  9. March 1st please , I live in Canada and am so over winter, although I did not put on my winter coat until Jan 1st.
Spring clothes make us all feel better and something to look forward to.
I love metallic coloured shoes and wear them all summer long in both flats and heels, they are now a basic.
Love your blog and enjoy reading it every day.

  10. Here is southeast Michigan, we haven’t even gotten winter yet. I’m not heady for spring. I only worn a winter coat a couple times. Wishing for some snow.

  11. I will be happy with early or mid March. Because I prefer cold weather for many reasons, I’m not anxious for Spring to arrive. I will be going to Ross this week to shop for pieces I can hopefully wear year round.

    God bless!

  12. Spring comes early in Texas, so March 1st would be great with me. I have all the winter clothes I’m going to buy (this year). 🙂

  13. It was so warm here in December that I feel like I’m just now starting to wear my winter clothes. I wish the stores still had a nice selection of winter items, because I could use a few more items. I’m not ready for spring quite yet!

  14. I always have this silly rule that I can’t think about spring until February 1. 🙂 That way I don’t get too excited too early. It may not make sense but it works! Then February 1 start looking at the stores and online for spring trends and stuff. So, start the engines! I’m ready to go!

  15. Spring is welcome as soon as we can get it! I am focused on shoes right now, and I am changing my attitude toward both slip on sneakers and metallic shoes. I bought a dull (not shiny) pair of gold flats last year and they function as a neutral! I wore them with everything! I want a pair of silver sandals this summer, for the same reason. Again, I think it needs to be a grayish silver, not shiny–at least for me.

  16. I would like to see some spring styles March 1. Since I’m not buying anything else for winter, I’m ready to see some of the new styles. I always enjoy it when you and Jo-Lynne show all of your picks. Love your blog!

  17. I vote for March 1. I love spring in Texas.
By the way, I love the slip ons. I bought a pair of leopard slip ons and they are so cute.
I’m so glad you enjoyed Texas I live in Fort Worth, just 30 miles from Dallas, and it is such a great place to live. I haven’t been to Magnolia yet, but your t shirt makes me want to take a drive and get one.
I’m looking forward to seeing the new things you chose for Glamour Farms.

  18. I found your website about a week ago and enjoy your scripture readings and reflections. I also like the clothes selections. Thank you.

  19. I love your blog, I have been trying to replicate some of the outfits and have received many compliments. I am a school nurse so I need to be comfortable as I see lots of kids during the day. I vote for March 1 cant wait to see the new designs. I’m also going to check out the gold flats, I love gold or silver shoes.

  20. March 1st! I’m already thinking Spring! I bought a cute denim dress last week . It will be a good transition piece. Also we are going on a cruise in June. Would you put together some cruise outfits before then?

  21. I look forward to your blog each day. I vote for March 1st. I’m ready to start shopping for spring clothing. I understand how some people would like to wait. But…… if I have a vote…… 🙂 I look forward to whenever you, and Jo Lynne do the series.

  22. Here in Canada, it won’t be spring until Mid March, so I vote to wait. Though I love the idea of wearing cute flats and crop jeans. I won’t be able to here in Beautiful British Columbia until April, or May.
Love your pics Cyndi. Its encouraging as I am in my early 50’s but don’t want to look it!

  23. I vote March 1st …. I have all the winter clothes I need but my wardrobe is suffering in the Spring and Summer category Lol The sooner we get started the better. I also have been loving your Sunday post and have enjoyed the music videos tremendously

  24. I’ll vote for March 1st as well!! I live in South Jersey, near Philly, and it’s very spring-like today, in the 50’s. Should hit the mid-high 60’s tomorrow, but rain (that’s typical of spring, I know!!) Love the stripes in your fashion forecast, always a favorite of mine! Love your blog!

  25. Love your blog! Please don’t start the spring series until March 15. It will be cold and dreary here in Pittsburgh for quite awhile. At the beginning of March, I will still want to see what to do with my winter clothes especially since I will be getting tired of them.

  26. I love your picks! I, too, need a pair of white jeans, and am going to order the ones you picked, great price point. I have some of the slip on sneakers, I like them ok, just feel like they make my feet look big. Love the ruffle sweater and flare crops! I am excited for spring; my vote would be for March 1st.

  27. I can’t wait for Spring either Cindi so I say start on March 1st! I was so excited to see the sunshine this morning and when I checked the weather outside it was so balmy and nice (here in Alabama) but while I was reading your post it started to rain! Crazy weather and now we might have tornado warnings later today!! That’s the only thing I don’t miss in the Spring.

Several years ago my husband and I were vacationing in Savannah (love that city). I had recently seen on Oprah some of her top 5 must have pics and one was a trench coat. We stopped in at a Wal Mart in Savannah and I found a khaki one on clearance for $5! It hits me at just the right spot (just below my hips) which is how I like a coat to hit since I’m only 5’1″ and look a little overwhelmed in a longer version….I still have my trench coat!

    Have a great week!

  28. I’m new to your blog and I’m loving it! I definitely vote for March 1st. I am already over buying winter things and have actually ordered a couple of spring color tops with long sleeves. I’ll be curious to see the flare crops when you try them. Keep posting your outfit pics!

  29. Mid March for me. Actually April is better, lol. Not ready for Spring. I’m still buying fall and winter clothes on sale for now and next year, and giving away older items. Love to buy at the end of the season!

  30. Hi there from Omaha, Ne! We are experiencing a blizzard so the faster spring arrives the better!! I vote for March 1st 🙂

Thank you for your efforts!! I really enjoy your posts!

  31. Hi Cyndi – I’m new to your blog and really, really enjoy your posts! I love how you blend up-to-date fashion tips for women of all ages with inspiration and scripture to help us be our best on the inside and out!

  32. Thanks for some early spring ideas; I have been “trying” not to purchase any more winter clothes…so i would vote for march 1 and get a solid start on spring wardrobe :)!!! thx for all you do!!

  33. March 1st sounds good to me (I’m in Cincinnati). Who knows when spring will be here…it feels like spring today.

  34. I love metallic anything! I had a bronze/gold tote style purse that my daughter threatened to burn if I didn’t get rid of it. It was leather and so soft and I just loved it :). I’m still on the fence about white jeans before Easter – I know, I know, let go of the “way we southerners were raised about white before Easter and after Labor Day” but it’s so hard. I’m not certain what kind of shoes to wear with white jeans in the winter – light brown bootie boots maybe? or flats – oooh! maybe gold or silver flats :). Anyway – you make my days brighter Cyndi! You’re like a best friend I’ve never met in person.
    Hugs from Knoxville!

  35. Definitely ready for March 1st spring posts! The spring items are starting to come out and if you don’t grab them early, they’re gone. Some guidance on what fun new items to purchase would be fantastic. Thinking spring here in Michigan!!!

  36. Oh please…you were just here in Dallas so you know…we are already having Spring here. 🙂 Bring it on! 🙂

It’s hard for me to imagine cropped flares but I’m curious. I’m going to try the slip on tennies too.

  37. I vote for mid-March … closer to the “calendar” spring. In Colorado we will still be getting wintery-spring storms into April and sometimes even May! Loving the slip on sneakers … I officially have 2 pair already, black and dusty pink, too fun! Excited to see how you style the crop flair jeans. I like them but not sure of the show to wear?

Thanks, Cyndi… always love your tips and gracefully encouragement!

  38. Love your blog Cyndi. I’m ready for Spring so the sooner the better. It’s been so mild here in Oklahoma that I still haven’t worn some of my new winter clothes. I love seeing the new spring goodies and daydreaming of the warm weather seasons to come! 🙂

  39. I’m in the Midwest & March 1st could be good. That gives us time to digest what you are sharing with us and figure out how we want to incorporate into our wardrobes. Thanks for the sneak peek today.

    1. I agree! Plus, we can get an “early” start on the best finds…Ha! It simply drives me batty when I “need” a new item for the season, but they get gone and are no longer available.

  40. It’s nice to dream about Spring but we just got done with the holidays and I am picking up a few “I should have in my wardrobe” winter “buys”. Of course I finally got some skinny crop jeans last fall and now they want us to wear flares……I give up! LOL
Seriously though your Spring picks give us an opportunity to keep a look out for tending “stuff” so bring on the Spring…..any time is fine with me.

  41. Morning Cyndi! I’d say mid March (and I even live in CA) I have trouble buying too early for seasons. That’s one thing that just makes me bonkers in the retail world. When you actually need an item for a season…it’s already gone. 🙁 So happy you had fun in Texas. I’m sure the market experience is overwhelming, but I’d love to try it sometime.

  42. Hi! I’m from the southwest suburbs of Chicago and I know we can have plenty of winter left, but I would love to start seeing the outfits for Spring! The sooner the better! I have been following you for about 4 months now and I really look forward to your emails each day. I love that your outfits are for the regular woman and that you show exactly where to buy everything, which I have made a few purchases already and have been complimented on them.
Thanks so much for all the great ideas!

  43. I’m ready for March 1 spring posts! I’m trying the wardrobe capsule challenge from JoLynne so I’ll need ideas for my next round!

  44. Hi, am a Brit living in south west Spain. I love receiving your daily posts. Here Spring is just around the corner and I can’t wait, so the sooner the better for the Spring posts.

  45. I’m dreaming of spring too, but February can be pretty cold in Ga. I’m really liking the crop flare, and I can remember wearing a pair of pointy toe silver flats in the 80’s! Still looking for the perfect pair of white skinny jeans!!

  46. I love your blog! It gives me much inspiration on how to create my wardrobe. I also love your inspirational quotes, and verses , thank you !

  47. We usually start to get springy here in TX in early March, so of course I’d love to see the Spring series earlier! I’m not ready for Spring yet though! I love winter, and we still haven’t seen much of it here unfortunately.
I have those Sarah jeans in grey, they are so soft and comfy. If I could wear white, those would be it!

  48. Heading out to find a few Spring items for a tropical trip next week. Hoping to find a new pr of white ankle pants!
I totally get the slip on sneaker trend but last spring I found the perfect pair that even my daughter loved! They are quilted gray Keds and so comfortable! I think Kate Spade has gotten on board with Keds and has a few colors also. They are great! Thanks for al the tips friend! Will check out Banana also!
