Weekend Casual Fashion

Weekend Casual FashionA few weeks ago I was shopping at Banana Republic. A young lady that was working at the store was wearing this cream sweater that I’m styling today for my weekend casual fashion.

I thought it was cute and asked her if she had purchased it at Banana Republic. Luckily, she did but the only color they had left was white (it’s an off white). She was wearing the wheat color.

I was disappointed and asked if she would take her sweater off and let me buy it. (I’m kidding! Although the thought did run through my mind.)

She said we could probably find it at another Banana Republic store and they could ship it to me. Perfect! It was going to be awkward for her if she had to take her sweater off. 🙂

My sister and I did a little photo shoot and she was making me laugh which is why I have a huge grin on my face.

Weekend Casual FashionI’m one of those people who has to “not smile too big” because I look dorky. But I like to smile and laugh so…..it is what it is.

Weekend Casual FashionI couldn’t stop laughing.

Weekend Casual FashionMost tops hang longer in the back but this one is a little shorter in the back.

Weekend Casual FashionThese boots are so comfortable and I realized I hadn’t worn them in a while. What’s wrong with me??

Beauty for the Heart~~Laughter is good for the soul. God gave us the ability to laugh, and the Bible mentions laughter and happiness multiple times.

Sometimes it’s hard to laugh when we’re going through a difficult situation, but finding something to laugh about can be a powerful tool for overcoming our hurts.

Today find something to laugh at, it’s contagious so others will probably join in!

  • Laughter is the most beautiful and beneficial therapy God ever granted humanity. -Chuck Swindoll
  • For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning. Psalm 30:5
  • It’s not how much we have, but how much we enjoy that makes happiness. -Charles Spurgeon
  • Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” -Psalm 126:2

Have a blessed day!

  1. LOve to look at your blog. I surf pint for looks but. When I look at your blog I can see what kind of shoes and how something look on a real live person. Thank you so much, I am not skinny, and I am over 50. i want to dress in stuff that is cute, but not what my 15 year old wears.

  2. I just LOVE your blog Cyndi! I just have to say, you are beautiful inside & OUT! Your smile is beautiful, let your soul shine through your big smile! Thank you for all the tips, photos,, links, and godly encouragment. 😊

  3. Ps, hee hee I re-read the blog again and yes, I have also loved an item someone is wearing, just randomly in a store, and I stop, make a comment about it and then politely ask where they were able to buy it from(most ladies are thrilled that you love their style and will tell you everything about it, size, how it wears and where they bought it. 🙂 ) I’m glad that young lady got to keep her sweat on.. and you found yours ! Your story gave me a ((chuckle)), what I needed to start my day. 😀 Keep smiling, you’re beautiful!

  4. Hi Cyndi,
Lovely sweater, cute boots(I have a similar pair and they are the same, very comfortable-like walking on tennis shoes!) Love your beautiful smile!
My twin and I do nothing but laugh and yak when we are together. Sister’s are special and dear to our hearts!

  5. I love the sweater! The fringe is so cute! You could never smile too big. You have a beautiful smile! So glad you had fun with your sister. I’m a bit late reading your blog today, it’s one of the first things I do each day. Ask my husband! He now knows who you are!
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  6. So funny, I can totally relate to the big smile thing. Sorry, I don’t love the sweater today for 2 reasons: 1. It’s too thick and would add too much bulk, and 2. It has to cover my behind. (That’s just me, tho!) Love the boots, I have something very similar in 2 colors, #lovemyboots. Thanks for your posts and keep smiling! Have a very blessed day – God is so good!

  7. Love your post today! I don’t think you could ever look dorky! What a fun day with your sister:) I love your sweater & I’m sure the young lady was very happy to be able to keep hers. Have a Blessed & Fantabulous Friday

  8. There’s no such thing as too big a smile! I love these pictures of you…you’re even more gorgeous than usual. I laughed at your button this morning: Read Post (hopefully)! I know it must be frustrating to have technical problems. Hope they get you back up and running smoothly.

  9. Love this on you. However I look washed out in these colors. I have a closet full of these colors from Fall and find I never wear them. Pretty on you….

  10. I really like that outfit
I think it would work for me.
I like smiling and laughing too
Soo it’s nice to see you laughing!!!😂

  11. I love the green vest but I’m concerned about my midsection not being as flat as yours. I’m 52 and am struggling to keep my tummy in a good place. Do you think a vest just will add bulk to my chest/middle section? I really enjoy your blog. Enjoy your day! Patty

  12. What an adorable sweater; looks great on you. I love how sweaters feel but living in southern Florida we don’t have many opportunities to wear them. I look forward to reading your blog and like every aspect of it.

  13. Very cute! I like the jeans, but am unfamiliar with the “Just Black Jeans”. May I ask where the ones you are wearing came from? By the way, I am really glad you get to share good times and laughter with your sister!
    Sincerely,
    Amy

    1. Amy these were in my Stitch Fix box. I had never heard of them either but I really like them. I tried to find them online but I couldn’t find this pair. Sorry!!
