Oh How He Loves Us!

Oh How He Loves Us!I am not a theologian. I don’t have all the answers and there is a lot about the Bible that I don’t understand.

But there are two things I know without a doubt:

1. Christ is merciful and loves us even though we are sinners.

2. Because of His love and mercy, I’m called to be merciful and to love like He loves.

Who is Christ calling you to be merciful to today?

It wasn’t so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It’s a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah.
Ephesians 2:4-6 (The Message)

I love this song, I might have shared it before but it’s a good reminder that Christ loves us!

  1. re: “I am not a theologian. I don’t have all the answers and there is a lot about the Bible that I don’t understand.” . . . . Cyndi, you may not be a theologian but you are a theologist because you practice what relates to the power of Christ: 1. Christ is merciful and loves us even though we are sinners. 2. We are called to be merciful and to love like He loves! . . . .EXACTLY!!! So actually, that makes you a much better theologian than you give yourself credit for! To even the most sophisticated scholars in the world, the Bible is still a book of puzzles and mysteries. . . . . . Thank you Lord, You always bless me through Cyndi!!!

  2. Thank you for sharing your love for Christ with the world. We aren’t supposed to hide our light but let it shine! That is just what you are doing. Thank you for sharing that verse, I think I know someone who may need to hear it today 🙂 Funny how the Lord always seems to be right on time with His message. Have a blessed day today!

  3. Excited to hear more about your mission trip to Cuba. If u would be willing to share how u r preparing yourselves as I am going to Costa Rica in July on my first mission trip.

  4. Thank you for sharing your love for the Lord with us! It is such an encouragement, and your blog is inspiring me in many ways!

  5. Love, love that song!! Thank you for the scripture and song… Such Truth!
Grateful that He Loves us anyway…
Blessings on your mission trip as well!
    😊🙌🏻

  6. My husband is a physician. We have been on numerous medical mission trips to Central America! Be careful! You might get bit by what we call the “mission bug”😍 You will be blessed beyond measure 🙏

  7. I always find comfort and peace in knowing that we serve a High and Mighty God, that forgives me no matter what. A small group at my church just returned from a mission trip in Africa. Thank you, Cyndi for your willingness to travel to Cuba and witness to those who are lost and spread God’s word.

    Blessings

  8. I too am glad He loves me anyway. Love your Sunday messages and the accompanying songs. God continue to bless you and your readers. Amen.
