Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you enjoy your day and hopefully get to spend some time relaxing with your family.

I talk a lot about my Mom and how much I miss her. I have also shared with you how much my Mom loved Jesus and she passed that love down to me.

Mom taught me so many things but here are some things she taught about faith.

1. Keep the faith!

“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12

Don’t waver, don’t stop believing. In a world that is trying more than ever to tell us there is no truth, Jesus is the TRUTH!

2. Rise up!

“Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?” Psalm 94:16

We need to rise up and take a stand for what we believe. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Don’t stop sharing it!

 3. Teach Your Faith.

Oh this one is so important! WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TEACHING OUR CHILDREN.

“Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”  Deuteronomy 11:19

We have to teach our children to trust and love Jesus.

4. Pray!

While we can’t control situations in our life, the one thing we can do is PRAY. As Moms we need to be committed to praying for our children.

You might not see all of your prayers you are praying over your children and grandchildren come to fruition while you’re here on earth but Revelation 5:8 says, And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.

Our prayers are constantly going before our Father. Our prayers never DIE!

Let’s be Mom’s that are committed to sharing Christ with our children and our grandchildren.

Grab a tissue because this song will make you tear up! I think we can all relate.

  1. Cyndi,
That is beautiful, thank you so much! You say: “. . . Our prayers are constantly going before our Father. Our prayers never DIE!” . . . . Wow, I am such a believer in the mystery of God’s powerful love working through prayer —somehow— when we join our will with God’s will it is total mystery and unseen power. . . God shapes the world by prayer. Prayers live before God, and God’s heart is set on them. Prayers outlive the lives of those who utter them; prayers may even outlive an age, outlive the world.

  2. Oh Cyndi, that was a very special Mother’s Day blog & I absolutely loved the song & video! Thank you for being you & sharing yourself with us! How did your testimony go & I’d love to hear it! Happy belated Mother’s Day!

  3. Happy Belated Mother’s day Cyndi! I wish I was there to see your sermon.. it sounds wonderful. Thank you for sharing those quotes. Thanks for reminding us about the quote from Revelation.. I love it! Our prayers are forever going up to the Father, none are lost!

  4. Love the song Cyndi – I’m sending it to my 28 year old daughter and 26 year old son today – thank you for sharing so many aspects of your life – your energy is contagious – I so enjoy you!

  5. Cyndie, we all struggle with past sin. I wonder if you would consider sharing your Mother’s Day talk with all of us. Thank you! I enjoy your blog so much

  6. I thought of you this morning and remembered you were speaking at your Church today. I know you blessed the congregation…..just like you bless those of us who read your blog everyday. That song was so beautiful. Thank-you for sharing. Love you!

  7. Lost my Mom way too early. She was only 44 and I was 25. I am in my 60’s now and still miss her, especially on Mother’s Day. But she was a believer and so am I which means I will see her again someday! So thankful for a Christian mom. Thank you for your witness and always encouraging words.

  8. Cyndi, I feel in my heart your message was beautiful and fruitful today!
Thank you for sharing your personal life with me as I am try to grow in His honor everyday💞

  9. Wonderful post, thanks for sharing! Prayers are definitely coming your way. I am sure it will be a great meeting. My husband is speaking in our church today as well! He has been nervous for weeks!

  10. Will be thinking of you and praying for you as you give your testimony this morning, Cyndi! You’ll be amazing!
I lost my Mom 6 1/2 years ago to ALS … a horrible, life-sucking, awful disease. Although my Mom didn’t necessarily have a faith (I think she was a believer but didn’t have a personal relationship with Christ) she taught me a lot about perseverance, grace, love and strength. I think every year she is gone I miss those things about her even more, yet I embrace my faith even more and try to be an example to my 2 amazing kids. Thank you for ALWAYS encouraging us in our faith!

PS Would love to hear your testimony if there’s a link you can share?

    1. Prayers for you Heidi as you grow through this day without your mother and celebrating the mom that you are to your children💕

  16. I pray God’s rich anointing on you as you’re speaking this morning. God bless you for the example you set.

    Happy Mother’s Day!

  17. Praying for you today. Mother’s Day is not always a happy day for some that have lost a child or struggle with infertility. Others fight the pain of having lost their moms. And then as I have experienced in my Sunday School classes, and seen the hurt, and anger in the children’s eyes knowing their mothers did not want them or for whatever reason may have given them away. I too find Mother’s Day difficult for many of the mentioned situations that I have had to walk through. But, I know that when I get to Heaven, I will get to embrace and love every aborted and forsaken child, and they will be mine….what a happy day that will be, I will get to see my Mom again, she will be there too..

  18. Praying for the Holy Spirit to flow through you like torrents of living water to refresh all of the women! God bless you for your obedience!

  19. Happy Mother’s day!! I will pray for you today as you speak. I m heading to church as well. Love this post so helpful. I will study it and take notes from it this afternoon Blessings
