Welcome to my 22 Days of Summer Fashion! Today I’m sharing an embroidered dress from Loft. This summer embroidery is making a comeback in a big way. You’ll find embroidery on tops, dresses, handbags and more!

This white dress from Loft is a perfect casual dress. I love the blue embroidery detail!

I kept it simple with my baublebar bracelet and I added my Vince Camuto handbag.

Beauty For the Heart~~Satan loves to lie to us. He loves to make us think we need to be perfect, look perfect and have perfect homes.

He uses magazines, blogs, Pinterest, Instagram etc. to make us think everyone else has it all together. Can I be honest and say I don’t have it all together.

I think as women we feel pressure to appear perfect. Let’s just admit that we aren’t.

The Truth? God does not expect perfection from us. Why else did Jesus come to save us? The only perfection God asks from us is a reliance on Him who is perfect and to strive to be more like Him.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi Cyndi,
While I love to wear white in the summer as much as you do, and by the way this dress looks in detail is so beautiful and soft looking too, I’ve never been a fan of the sack dress on anyone. It is a beautiful dress but does not have that sexy, appealing, or refined look when worn. But you, my dear look great in anything!
hee hee your family loves you – you have a pool!!

  2. I love this dress on you. The white is so crisp and fresh looking for summer, and the embroidery is so pretty. The grassy field is a gorgeous background! Thank you for the message!

  3. You are beautiful inside and out! Love the embroidery and the blue bag too…nothing like a dress in summer to keep cool. Blessings…

  4. This is adorable on you! and it looks cool and comfy which is always a win-win in the hot humid summer weather. Your photos are really good – especially the one of you in the field – You are making Loft look really good! Thank you for the reminder about perfection. I find myself constantly comparing myself to several of my friends who are beautiful, tall, slim, and seem to have perfect lives. Then I remind myself that ALL have had some “enhancements” and/or some kind of surgery which has helped shape their bodies. I guess I’m too cheap or too afraid to do this and so I feel like the “fat girl” at the party or in the pics. Honestly I’m carrying about 15 pounds that I need to loose but since hitting 50 it frankly isn’t budging! God loves me the way I am thank goodness :-).

  5. You look lovely as always and radiate God’s light so beautifully! The dress is not my style; but might make a cute swimsuit cover-up? You’re a tiny little thing, but this dress makes you look pregnant, so I definitely couldn’t wear it! lol

  6. I absolutely love this dress on you! It certainly looks like summer! I love the color white for summer, and the blue detail is so,so pretty. You truly do look like you’re on a magazine cover. You’re gorgeous, and the background compliments your beauty.

  7. Thank you for reminding me that I don’t have to look perfect all the time. I stress myself so much, due to insecurity on my part, I think. I know that is not of God and is from satan. Even so, I still get caught in the trap of worry and what others think of me. I’m trying to receive His grace one day at a time. Have a wonderful day.

  8. That’s interesting you mention about how we as women may feel the need to be perfect. Do we as women put that on other women?

I had a close friend that always came across as if she and her personal life were always put together. Her house a ‘show piece’. Her essence seemed to give off an uncomfortable atmosphere…that she was perfect.

How do you ever measure up to that sort of person?

My standards are God’s standards ; I just couldn’t keep up to hers.

  9. I have to be honest. I’m not a fan of this dress. You look beautiful as always, but I don’t think the dress is flattering at all.

  10. Your husband is a great photographer!! I love the background settings where you are photographed! Looks like it is right out of Vogue magazine!!
