How Are We To Live?

Romans 12:9-13 is a great passage of scripture that tells us how we are to live.

Love OthersGod’s word is relevant for us to today. I read this passage in Romans from the New Living Translation. It’s a good reminder for us as we begin a new week.

Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality. Romans 12:9-13

This week let’s live out Romans 12:9-13.

  • Let’s love big and work hard.
  • Remember we have a hope and never give up praying.
  • Help the needy and welcome people into our homes.
  • Be Jesus to a world that desperately needs Him.

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. Beautiful song! I often find myself whimpering, “Mama” during times of extreme stress, even though I am a grown woman and my mother has been with the Lord for over 20 years. The lyrics say let the first name I call be “Jesus”, something I have trying to be more conscious of doing lately, but that primordial longing for our mothers goes deep. This song was a good confirmation to call out to Jesus.

  2. I am also a greeter at the front door of my church. I am the one who gets the blessings and hugs. What a great time i have. Thank you for sharing.

  8. Thanks for this post this morning Cindi, I shared the photo on FB, hope that was ok. I love this message! I think if we could all love more many of the problems in our world today would go away. I don’t always have time to respond but I follow you every day. Thanks for what you do and who you are. 🙂

  9. Yes, a hug and a smile can go a long way! Just because we walk through a church door, it doesn’t mean we have it all together and that our insides aren’t crumbling for some reason. The broken come to church to get restored and better prepared for a new week.

    God bless!
