Fall Fashion-Denim Vest and Olive Jeans

Happy Labor Day! I hope you have the day off and are getting to enjoy this day. I guess it’s the last unofficial weekend of summer.

Today I’m styling a denim vest with olive jeans. This is kind of an early fall go-to outfit for me. I love a denim vest, it can be added to so many outfits.

Fall Fashion-Denim Vest and Olive JeansMy jeans are from the Loft and I bought the burgundy pair too. They are both great for fall and they’re buy one get one 50 % off today.

I purchased this Vince Camuto handbag during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I love it. I have ordered a budget friendly bag but it’s back ordered until September 17th.

These lace up flats only have a few sizes left but I found a similar pair here.

Fall Fashion-Denim Vest and Olive JeansI added some large earrings and a leather necklace. I wrapped the necklace around my neck because chokers are so popular. You can wear this necklace several different ways.

Beauty For the Heart~~Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Colossians 3:23

This verse reminds us that whether we work outside of the home or we are a stay at home Mom, whatever we do, work as if we were working for the Lord. Basically, we are to give it our very best.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hey Cyndi
    CUTE CUTE CUTE !
Please help me understand the international sizes. Nordstrom’s sizing chart is no help. What is size 28 equivelant to American sizes ???

  2. Cute outfit AND Grandson!! He sure is looking older since I last saw him. Happy Vacay, I got a laugh out of Wayne being excited about you finding a Nordstrom! About as excited as you would be if he found a hunting store I bet!😉

  3. Vests are so versatile when the seasons are changing and I have been wanting to add a denim one to my wardrobe. I may just have to make a peuchase today! I just love online shopping! 😜😜 I like the pants too. May ‘need’ a burgundy pair. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Love the outfit you look great as always. I think that is neat your husband likes to shop also. Have a fun and safe trip.

    1. I saw some cute leopard flats at Target this afternoon. They have several styles to choose from. There is no tie as the one Cyndi styled, but very similar and surprisingly comfy, too.

  5. I love this look! Thanks for the heads up on the sale with the Loft jeans. Also, I noticed you are wearing your hair a bit longer and I wanted to tell you that I love it! It’s very flattering on you…

    Blessings!
    Diana

  6. Cyndi. I love your style and blog but have a few questions. Do you ever do a 26 day style with the clothes that you already own. I know this is a business, but many people do not have an unlimited budget to spend on clothes, purses and accessories. I think it would be interesting to see you do a 26 day challenge with what you have. What do you do with all your clothing that you no longer wear? Is it donated to women in your church? I have learned so much from your blog , but some days I feel that I don’t need anymore clothes.

    1. I take her looks and pull stuff from my closet and create my version… Try it; you will be surprised at your ability to create amazing outfits without spending a lot of money. ❤️

    2. Hi Joan, I love your idea but as you can imagine, it would hurt my business if I could not link to any of my clothes. I do re wear (I’m not sure that’s a word) a lot of my clothes on my blog such as jeans, jewelry, handbags etc.

I have hundreds of thousands of women who read my blog and do like that I link to things that they can purchase. I hope you understand.

Yes, I do give all my clothes away and i love that I am able to do that. My best advice is to use my outfits as ideas and shop your closet. You certainly don’t have to buy the clothes I style.

Thank you for stopping by and I always appreciate ideas and questions.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  7. Cyndi, I’ve been reading your blog for quite awhile now. My favorite is always your Sunday post. They speak to my heart and I love how you always include such great Christian music. Yesterday’s scripture “The joy of the Lord is your strength,” I have decided to claim as my victory verse Also, the Colton Dixon song had me in tears. Have you ever thought about taking your “show on the road”? I would love to hear you speak at a women’s conference. You have inspired so many of us with your blog. You are truly blessed with the gift of ministry.

Well, on to fashion! You got me again. I love all things denim and just ordered the vest online at my local Target. They had one more small left. Good thing I got up early and read your post. Target always runs out of my size (at least my store does). Thanks for including a variety of stores and price points in your blog too. After much debating I decided to get myself a pair of leopard skin flats too. Can you tell I’m really enjoying your Fall posts?

    1. Hi Marisa!! You are too sweet! I have been doing some speaking and I have added a speaking tab at the top of my blog that shows where I will be. I love to meet women and talk to them face to face.

      Have a wonderful week,
      Cyndi

  8. In the near future, can you do a blog on “what to wear camping”. I’m going on a trip camping, we are staying in either a cabin or RV not sure yet, but what the heck do I wear. I’m not a sneaker wearer, but don’t have any idea what footwear and clothing to pack. We are going the end of October, so it could be warm, could be freezing. Ugh, HELP!! Thanks.

  9. Loved the note on your email about Wayne being thrilled to shop at Nordies. 🙂 LOVE today’s outfit. Looking fab, as always.

  10. Cyndi, I saw a Nordstrom Rack in Mt. Pleasant, SC but was in a rush to get back to hotel in N. Charleston. Mt. Pleasant is just north of Chaleston. Have a nice trip. You look so cute!

  11. I love today’s outfit, I would be totally comfortable in that look, thanks so much! I hope you find some “good stuff” at Nordstrom’s and “on sale” would be even better. I also thought the comment about Wayne was cute 🙂 Drive careful.

  12. I have those Lucky Brand leopard shoes and they are so cute and comfortable too! Love your daily verses. God is so good!

  13. Very cute look – what size jeans are you wearing ? I was looking for a front rise measurement but their site only mentioned mid rise – love the colored jeans . Also you mentioned you were going to give us details on your hair styling hints ~ love your hair too!

    1. Would love to know what size pants you are wearing too. I tend to be the next size up to what you wear based on past experience. I think all of us are anxiously awaiting your hair tutorial. Have fun in Florida!!!

  14. Be careful driving… There are still people in Georgia and Florida without power. One city still has over twenty five thousand without electricity. We are hoping to get power back. I love today’s outfit… Great job!!! Blessings

  15. I love everything about this look! And that leather necklace! You look gorgeous! Thank you for letting Christ shine through your blog. ❤️
