Fall Fashion-Sleeveless Turtleneck

It’s Day 6 of my 26 Days of Fall Fashion! Today I’m styling a sleeveless turtleneck with black jeans and black over the knee boots.

I have seen a lot of sleeveless turtlenecks and since I’m a fan of turtlenecks, I knew I wanted to add it to my fall wardrobe.

Fall Fashion-Sleeveless TurtleneckThis turtleneck is great to wear in early fall when the weather’s still warm but when the weather turns cold, I’ll add a cardigan.

Fall Fashion-Sleeveless TurtleneckI have also been looking for a pair of black over the knee boots. I found these at Kohl’s and they are exactly what I was looking for. They have a low heel so they’re comfortable and I’ll be wearing them with a lot of outfits for fall and winter.

Tan-Turtleneck-1I added my blingy bracelet from Accessory Concierge.

Fall Fashion-Sleeveless TurtleneckThese sunglasses are BP brand from Nordstrom and only $12. I lost my first pair but I like them so much, I bought another pair. Let’s hope I don’t lose this pair!

Fall Fashion-Sleeveless TurtleneckI also needed a new pair of black jeans and these NYDJ black jeans are amazing. They are supposed to make you look a size smaller, thanks to NYDJ’s famous lift-tuck technology that slims from within. I don’t know about that but they are a higher rise jean and I love the fit.

Fall Fashion-Sleeveless Turtleneck Fall Fashion-Sleeveless TurtleneckMy tassel necklace and gold hoop earrings are from Glamour Farms and my handbag is Sole Society brand from Nordstrom. I love that it’s big enough to carry all my stuff! (Use discount code graceandbeauty456 for $10 off your Glamour Farms purchase.)

Beauty For the Heart~~I have been looking up verses and quotes on HOPE. During my Fall Workwear challenge, I’m sharing a verse a day and some of my thoughts and the theme is HOPE. I think we all need HOPE.

Scripture talks a lot about HOPE but there was a song that kept popping in my head. I’m sure many of you will know it.

My HOPE is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand; all other ground is sinking sand. -Edward Mote

I’m so thankful for the HOPE of Christ.

Have a blessed day!

  1. I just received a I pad from my adult children as a gift still trying to learn how to use it I am a follower of Jesus Christ also a could not go through a day without Him I’m much older then fourty but I do enjoy your sharing ideas and words of wisdom God bless you I would love to receive your email

  2. Hi Cyndi, I’ve bought the boots, but the top opening seems to not fit as snugly as yours appear to. And I’m pretty sure my legs are wider than yours at that point in my leg. Did you have to alter yours in any way? Thanks!

  3. I love this outfit! I wished I could wear those type of boots but sadly my legs aren’t thin enough. You look fabulous though.

  4. Wow! I can’t believe all these critical comments. I guess some people never learned the old saying “if you can’t say something nice, say nothing.” It can’t be easy putting yourself out there and becoming vulnerable only to receive that kind of feedback. Pay no attention to those negative Nellies. I on the other hand think you look great, Cyndi! You wear this outfit well and the colors look nice on you. I have an eye for these things. Just ask my 23 year old daughter who still asks me for fashion advice almost daily. So keep slayin’ it, Cyndi! 🙂

    1. What she said! Top ten best outfits of your blog. Gorgeous colors on you. Show off those great arms. Just a really classy look.

  5. Sleeveless turtlenecks are great for fall weather when it’s not cold enough to wear sleeves, but the covered neck gives you a little warmth for those cool mornings, cool nights, and cold air conditioning inside office buildings. Plus, they’re very figure flattering and look good on just about every body type (in my opinion). I just bought one similar to the one Cyndi is wearing but in black. I’ve already worn it with jeans and a skirt (but with flats and/or sandals, not knee-high boots; the boots would make the outfit too “hot flash inducing” – LOL!

  6. I love the outfit Cyndi, you look stunning as always! You are a great wardrobe and spiritual inspiration. Have a wonderful trip with your hubby!

  7. I love the black and camel color together. I recently purchased a pair of black jeans from The Loft, they had several fall colors in them. What part of Florida are you vacationing in, we love the Destin area. I hope I haven’t missed your “Hair Styling” Someday a I need all the help I can get.

  8. Ok so Cindy I isually really like what you put together. But a sleeveless turtleneck? And boots? Together? Very odd to me. Although you do look great in it and the colors are nice together. But who in the world would design a sleeveless turtleneck! That’s just plain crazy, warm neck and cold arms. Weird. that’s like wearing flip flops in the snow lol. But keep up the great work. Enjoy getting your emails everyday and learning from you :))

    1. Laurie they are very popular this year. I will wear this all fall when the weather is in the 60s an 70s. Have you not seen these anywhere else??
Sorry it doesn’t work for you but I love it!! 🙂
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  9. Cyndi, you look fantastic in everything you wear!

For those of us who can’t wear boots over the knee, or turtle necks, we can pass, but I think it’s such a classy casual outfit, and it looks amazing on you Cyndi 🙂

    Blessings!

  10. I love this look. Wish I could wear a turtleneck as well as you. I think my neck is too short. LOL I also agree that this looks much better on you than the model.

  11. Love the outfit. Purse made it!!! Also. The hymn you chose today says it all. Hope trust and obey. For there in no other way!!! #thankful for Christ loving me so I can have hope and trust in Him. Enjoy the sun and beach

  12. I agree with another gal on here. Not digging this look. From the front – from the belly button up looks very boxy. Maybe the arm holes are cut too big or too small. I don’t think it flatters. And not a fan of over the knee boots at all. Makes medium to shorter women look shorter or “stumpy”. The extra fabric over the knees on these boots is wrinkly or saggy. Sorry. Have to pass on this one. Have a great day!

  13. I love the color combination! And love that purse!! I’m not crazy about those boots though. And I don’t like the sleeveless and boot combination. Seems a little miss matched to me. When I think of tall boots, I think of cooler weather which doesn’t include sleeveless anything unless covered with a cardigan or jacket. Maybe booties instead.

  14. I love this outfit – the colors are great! I also agree with Sally, in that you wear it much better than the Nordstom model! I love turtlenecks, but have never tried a tunic style, so I think I might give this one a go. Thanks Cindi – you are always a great wardrobe inspiration!

  15. I’m loving this look but not so much on me. I think turtlenecks give me a frumpy appearance and maybe it has something to do with my neck size. It is not as elongated like on some people. Other options I’ve tried are the cowl neck look but i wonder if it gives a sloppy appearance. What are your thoughts?

    1. Turtlenecks don’t do much for me either, but Cyndi looks amazing. I really like cowls & find them easy to wear & dress up or down.

  16. I love the outfit real well. Didn’t see where the turtle neck was from? I love wearing turtle neckles of all kinds. Yours is really neat with the slit on the side those are my colors. Thank you for today have a great time on your trip. 😊

  17. I love the camel and black! The cut of the sweater is so fun! I just hate it that you have to blog on your vacation, 😝 Wished you could take break from it all!

  18. Love this combo. I wish I could wear over the knee boots, but I’ve never cared for how they look on me…and I’m 5’7″.

  19. Good morning Cyndi, love the camel and black together, I love the jewelry and boots as well, this is a great looking outfit! I think I’m gonna have to try the NYDJ jeans! I hope you’re having a great time in Florida!😎

  20. Love this look, Cyndi! I was so skeptical about the sleeveless turtlenecks for awhile, but I’m a total convert! I love them now and this one is beautiful! I ended up snagging that VC Abril bag by chance during the sale, but I’m seriously thinking about returning it for a more economical and less structured bag. I love that this appears to be two toned brown as well, but the website shows it to be much more yellow tinted than your photos. Which would you say is more accurate in person?

    1. Hey Hollie, It definitely looks more brown like my pictures show. The one on the website does look more yellow.
This is going to be my everyday handbag, love it!!
      Cyndi

  21. I love camel color and black together! Probably my favorite color combo. Chico’s has a lot of this color combo right now and over the weekend there was a 40% off entire store sale. Not sure if it is still going on but is worth checking out! I bought several pieces with this color combo for fall. Love the necklace you have on, too. I just saw a sign the other day that has really stuck with me and reminded me of your writing today: “You can never have too much Hope”. Especially when our HOPE is in Jesus. Thank you for sharing your heart! Have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!

  22. So cute! Love it Cyndi! You style it so much better than the model on the Nordstrom page! LOL! Hope you have a great day!

  23. I love this outfit! There’s just something about camel & black together, so classic! Enjoy your much needed getaway! I love this song too!

  24. I love the sleeveless turtleneck. I really want to buy it…..but am having trouble seeing it with a cardigan….hope you will show what that looks like sometime this fall.

  25. i have been looking for black jeans, and thought these looked great. Then I saw the price $124!! Did you find them on sale ? That would be awesome!

    1. Ha! I wish I had got them on sale. They are a basic wardrobe piece that I can wear for several years so I’m willing to pay a little more for them. Plus they are so comfortable!!
