Forgiven And Clean

Happy Sunday! I have been in Georgia this weekend at a conference and I’m heading back home this morning.

I had so much fun sharing about fashion and of course more importantly about Jesus. I’m always honored that I’m asked to speak and I love getting to meet so many sweet ladies.

There’s something special about meeting women you’ve never met before, but you immediately have a bond because you are Christ followers. I can only imagine what heaven will be like!

Last night as I was sitting in my hotel room and I read this quote on Instagram, “Do not judge. You don’t know what storm I’ve asked her to walk through” -God. It’s so true, isn’t it? We meet people everyday and we have no idea what they might be going through.

Do-not-judgeI get emails from women who are struggling in their marriage, with their children, with addictions etc.

I wish I could comfort them but truthfully the only one who can give us true comfort and peace is Jesus. Oh how we need him, I need him desperately!!!

As I was traveling to Georgia on Friday, I listened to a lot of praise and worship music. One song, I always listen to (I’ve shared this with you before) is Natalie Grant’s song, Clean.

I never feel I am worthy enough to speak to women. I have no idea why God allows me to but I’m thankful and I want more than anything to glorify Him.

This song reminds me that He has made me clean. (I can’t listen to it without crying.)

 

I hope you know today how much you are loved by Jesus!! Walk today as a woman who is forgiven and clean!!

  3. As I shared with you before, I felt God calling me to bring Natalie Grant to our little town of Greensburg over a year ago and He made it all happen last August. It was the first (and only – unless God tells me otherwise) concert that I have ever done. But through all the struggles, He made it happen. I cried like a baby when she sang this song. And still get weepy every time I hear it – not only for the words of the song and what it means spiritually but because of my personal experience of God saying “bring her to Greensburg and trust me.” It was an absolute growing time in my spiritual life and I had only HIM to trust. Thank you for this beautiful reminder!

  4. Thank you for sharing Cyndi. I can’t tell you how timely this is for me. My 23 year old daughter has been painfully rejected by a Christian friend based on past mistakes she’s made. I will be sharing this song with her. So amazing how God works to encourage. You’re a blessing! Thank you!

  5. I was told once that behind every face is a hurting heart that is struggling to survive to some degree. We live in a fallen world, the battle is real but our God is greater than all of life’s struggles. Thanks for the reminder not to judge, which can so easily creep upon me. God is good all of the time. Thank you Cyndi for your testimony and encouragement.

  10. Thank you for sharing that quote and yes, it’s so true. I’ve been working part-time for The Leukemia and Lyphoma Society while I’m looking for a new job. And I’ve been sitting next to this lovey lady for the last month who walks with a limp. We got to taking just this past week and she told me that she lost her leg to cancer when she was 15yrs and has had breast cancer twice. But she’s doing much better now and I was given the opportunity to meet her for what ever reason God intended. You just never know who your sitting next to and what stroms they have been though.

  12. Thank you for this beautiful reminder and song! Glad your weekend went well! Drive safe! My husband and I went to Wilmore this weekend to visit our daughter at Asbury for homecoming weekend. We went over to Shakertown. I texted a pic to my sister and she said, “Watch for Cyndi!” I told her that you were out of town. Maybe next time I’ll get a Cyndi spotting. 😊

  14. Love the quote, Cyndi! In meeting with church planters wives yesterday, this resonates in a unique way. Thank you for answering the call to keep moving out of your comfort zone in order to be used by God in a mighty way.

    Thank you for allowing the Lord to use you to serve Him in ministering to other women. Beautiful post and video. They both hold wonderful truths. I continue to pray for you as you continue to serve and bring glory to our Lord! You are beautiful on the outside and the inside!
