God Of All Our Days

Happy Sunday! We have a pretty busy day ahead at church and our weekend has been busy too. I don’t mind because most of it has been spent with family.

My grandson played Upward Soccer at his church this year and at the end of the season they have a big event and each child gets a trophy. Colt has not let go of that trophy.

We had family over last night for dinner and he brought the trophy with him to show everyone. He’s so proud of it and he melts my heart.

Cyndi is reminding us the Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. When I look at his sweet face and all the innocence that comes with this age, I want so bad to protect him from the crazy world we live in.

I worry about the future and yet scripture reminds me that while our world is changing, Jesus does not change.

Hebrews 13:8 says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Cyndi is reminding us the Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Why does it matter that the Jesus Christ of today be the same as the Jesus Christ of yesterday and tomorrow?

Yesterday: He showed us what He was really like. He sacrificed his life for us.

Today: Because He sacrificed His life for us, we have fellowship with Him and He is our Hope.

Tomorrow: It is crucial that Jesus Christ be the same tomorrow as he was yesterday and today because all our hope and joy comes from knowing that we will spend eternity with Him.

So as believers we don’t need to spend time worrying about the what ifs. The world around us might be changing but Jesus is not changing.

He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow! He is the God of all our Days!

Aren’t you thankful that Jesus doesn’t change?

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. Cyndi, how timely your post is. The upcoming election is so overwhelming. And I, too, am facing the changes and challenges of aging parents and searching for the next step. I ordered Focus on the Family’s Caring for Aging Loved Ones and I believe it will be of much assistance. I will keep you in mind as I navigate these new challenges.

  2. Cyndi, what a precious little one he is! I love Upward sports – my grandkids have played them as well! Blessings on what you are facing w/your parents-in-law! I know how hard that is as my parents began to fail 2 yrs. ago & my Mama had to go into an Alzheimers Unit. But she loved it there & did so well until she passed. My Daddy always was able to live at home w/my sister’s help, but he hated being here on this earth after my Mama went to Heaven. It is such a hard time!

  3. I’ve never heard this song I don’t think and certainly have never paid attention to the words if I have heard it before. It is beautiful and exactly what I needed. Thank you.

  4. Thank you so much for this encouragement today! The ground may seem to be crumbling around us, but we are assured we are standing on the solid rock of Jesus!

  5. Cyndi funny you mentioned about your father in law. I am waiting for placement for my mom in a nursing home. She went down hill in a matter of 6 months and it is hard. Breaks my heart . But yes God is in control and cares about my mother more then I do .

  6. What a precious little guy!!!! I know you enjoy him so much!!! My 4 grands and their parents were home for the weekend too!!! And there really is nothing better than having them here!!! Thanks for your daily encouraging words!!! Blessings

  7. Cindy I love your messages keep them coming! As a mom with an 18 year old daughter in jail from drug related crimes I derive comfort from your testimony! I have faith in God’s will.

  8. You look too young to be a grandmother! I thought this cute little guy was your son! Anyway, do you use an app to keep track of all your outfits? If so, which one?
    Thanks!

  9. Our Praise Team does several Casting Crown songs. They have a great ministry. Colt and his trophy–so cute!
    Thanks for sharing, Cyndi.

  10. Cyndi … Lying in bed this morning, I checked my phone (which I don’t usually do). I saw your email and opened it and played this song. I absolutely loved it and it ministered to me so beautifully. I played it over and over again and shared it with many family and friends this morning. God bless you for being such a light for Jesus by posting this song … and God bless Casting Crowns for creating this song through Jesus. In his love …. Gea

  11. Thank you for sharing great inspiration. With the upcoming election, and not knowing what the future holds for our country, it is wonderful to know that God is always there and that as believers we are protected in his love. He knows the outcome, and we should all be praying for our country, and that our new leader makes wise decisions.

  12. Thanks for sharing the video. I love Casting Crowns’ songs. I hadn’t heard this one before, though. This world is getting darker and darker, but Jesus is still on the throne! Everything is falling into place, and the prophecies are converging. Many blessings to you!

  13. My hope is build on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness.

Have a wonderful Sunday refueling and refocusing!

  14. Congratulations Colt! In regards to your aging inlaws, it is so hard watching our parents slow down to the point they need daily assistance. There are some good agencies available to lend a hand, but you have to search for them. My mom lived with us for 20 years, then we had to move her to an assisted living facility that was about 10 minutes away. After a very short time of adjustment, she was happy and started looking after the ladies she ate with. We shared some very special times that are now helping me cope with her death.
    Good bless!

  15. Cindy – your grandson is previous. The world is changing so fast and it is scary. I pray everyday for my kids and their future.
