Vera Bradley Crossbody Bag & Event Recap

This past weekend I attended the Vera Bradley event at Macy’s. It was so fun and the best part was getting to meet several ladies who read my blog.

I’ve said it many times but I have the sweetest blog readers and I love getting to meet you in person. (I am in the beginning stages of planning a women’s retreat for 2017 so we can all get together so stay tuned for that!)

I also loved seeing all the new products from Vera Bradley. Vera Bradley has expanded a lot over the last few years and they have more than just the quilted handbags.

Vera Bradley Event at Macy's with fashion blogger, Cyndi Spivey.Since they were offering 30% off, I picked up this square crossbody bag. It has fabric on the inside and a feminine chain link strap. I also love the color!

The bag has built in slots on the inside so you can put your license and debit/credit cards.

I had wore this top all day when we took these pictures. This is a perfect outfit for a cool fall day!

Beauty For the Heart~~Many of us have the election on our mind today. It’s important to remember that whoever the President is going to be, it doesn’t change God. He is still on His throne.

The best thing we can do for our country is to pray. Not just today, but everyday!

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Have a blessed day!

  2. Cyndi, love the outfit and the bag, especially the color. What jeans are you wearing? Like how the fit. Enjoy your posts! Thank you!

  3. Cyndy, is your necklace available anywhere? I’m having a hard time finding something of that size that I like. Thanks!

  4. Love the whole outfit. I want to find a purse that color love it. You look great. Thank you for all you do and your time!!! 😊

  5. Very darling outfit today Cyndi! I love the handbag and the sweater!

I appreciate your Blessing for the Heart! It’s always appropriate for whatever is going on in life, or in this case, in our Country. And it’s encouraging to read through the Godly wisdom of other sisters-in-Christ today! Thank you to all my sisters across this land who love God and are trusting in Him! My husband and I prayed for the Election this morning and we praise God for His Sovereignty, love and Grace no matter the outcome. My heart rests on God alone!

  6. I love the bag. In the past I too haven’t been a big fan of Vera, but I love this one. I love your shirt. Keep us posted on a get together as I would love to meet you!!! This election year has made be crazy. I am so glad it’ll be over. Well now we’ll have the media take on it for a month.

  7. Love the bag and top – adding the bad to my Christmas Wish List. Need shoe information…are they comfortable – I am looking for a nice pair of leopard flats.

  8. Max Lucado wrote a post saying pretty much what you said in your Beauty for the Heart. Wednesday morning, God will still be God and He will be in control. My pastor wrote in his blog that we are not called to follow the donkey or the elephant. We are called to follow the lamb. I love that!

The Vera bag is so cute. I’ve not been a fan of Vera in the past, but I love a lot of her new stuff! Have a daughter, I bought plenty of the other, though. LOL

  9. Cyndi, I love that crossbody bag and the color is pretty! I may add that to my list for Santa!! 🙂
Thank you for your reminder that no matter who wins this election, He reigns supreme! I appreciate you and your blog!!

  10. So glad Vera Bradley is making things that are solid color, as I feel the wildly patterned accessories they are known for rather limit what you can wear with them.
Great to meet you at the event! You are even lovelier in person…

  11. Cute colorful bag! Gosh I love your shoes……would love for you to share where they are from.

    Have a wonderful day!

  12. Really cute crossbody bag. Would not have thought it was Vera Bradley. Thanks for styling such cute things, Cyndi!!

  13. We so enjoyed meeting you and your sweet husband ,although I felt like I already knew you and your entire family .you were just as sweet as I imagined you would be . We are the ones from Berea . Joyce .

  14. Hello,
I have been following your blog for a few months now and always look forward to your outfits, your wisdom, and your heartfelt prayers. You encourage me in many ways. I have gotten a couple items you have recommended! In fact, I am wearing one of the dresses you modeled from Glamour Farms today. I love the cross body bag! Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge and encouragement. I look forward to hearing more about a retreat. I feel like the more time I can spend with godly women, the better.

  15. Good morning Cyndi! I am so glad that Vera Bradley now has handbags that are not quilted. I have been praying for our country more than usual, while remembering that God will always be the higher power and in control. For that I am extremely grateful.

    Have a blessed day!

  16. This is a super cute outfit! Has tons of personality without being “in your face” so to say. The purse is one that I would consider so thanks for sharing that.
Totally agree with the election sentiment – I too will be really glad when it’s done.

  17. Cyndi,
I love the sweater. On the Macy’s site, it mentions “generous sizing” and to consider sizing down. It looks a little short-waisted. I’m wondering if you are wearing a small or medium. I’m 5’7″ with a similar build to you and have found that generally I can wear your sizing recommendations.

    1. I’m wearing a small. I didn’t try the extra small on but it may have been too snug in the chest area (which hardly ever happens in my case. 🙂 )
