How To Style Hunter Boots-Winter Fashion

Welcome to Day 11 of my 25 Days of Winter Fashion! Hunter Boots are a classic and versatile boot and today I’m showing How to Style Hunter Boots in cold weather.

I love my red Hunter Boots but I also like have these short black Hunter Boots. The great thing about these boots are they are season-less. You can actually wear them every single month of the year and Nordstrom has a great selection to choose from.

Wearing your Hunter Boots with jeans is the easiest way to work these rainboots into your wardrobe. With the weather being cold, I added a pair of Hunter midcalf socks.

  • The trick is to keep the jeans slim and streamlines. Skinny jeans tucked in perfectly show off the Hunter boot shape.
  • Comfy thick socks will keep you comfortable and warm and help retain the Hunter boot structure.
  • Top off your look with a scarf, chunky cardigan or your favorite tailored wool coat.

hunter-boots-3Colder weather calls for layering up and this cardigan and fringe scarf  from Nordstrom are great layering pieces.

hunter-boots-1I’m carrying a large Longchamp Tote. This is a great travel tote because it has a lot of room. I also like to carry it if we are going to be gone all day and I want to carry my computer with me.

hunter-boots-7I keep my Hunter Boots looking their best with this Hunter boot shine sponge.

hunter-boots-11I’m ready for whatever winter weather comes my way!

  1. Love your posts!! Just wanted to know which sock style and color you were wearing with your shirt Hunter Boots.

  2. Love this outfit from head to toe. Your purse is the sizes I like to carry. Not sure what happen on my e-mail I missed a few days of your posts. Thank you once again.

  3. Cute boots and socks! I have a pair of mid-calf black rain boots that I love. I got a pair of fleece boot liners from a shop on etsy that make them warm and cozy in winter. They also make the boots great for snow. -Melissa

  4. Does anybody know how to put a shine on dull rain boots? I know they are suppose to be this way but I do like the shiny.

  5. Darling outfit! You, my dear, are a great inspiration . Today I am wearing jeans with a indigo thin alpaca sweater with a dark alpaca poncho. Short black suede Ugg booties. I had all of these in my closet, but due to you I have learned how to pull them together into an outfit. Thank you Cyndi!

  6. I have some zebra rainboots I bought a few years ago. I’m a teacher in Arkansas, so you never know what kind of weather it may be come duty time! I hate to wear socks! I love sandals and Uggs for that reason! My rain boots are not Uggs, but I have a great tip! I buy the Ugg inserts for $15 and put them inside my rain boots! That has worked wonderfully for me the last 2 years! Super cute styling today, btw!:)

  7. I got a pair of Ralph Lauren rain boots in a navy and green plaid. The plaid is almost exactly honors my husbands Scottish heritage–our Duncan tartan.
This winter has been so mild that I am wearing rain boots, not snow boots.

  8. Adorable outfit! I love these short boots, and the entire outfit! I bought my daughter a pair of the short hunter boots last year. She loves them, and they keep her feet dry while she’s walking through rain, and snow on her college campus.

  9. You look adorable in your boots! Alas, the boots I have are “barn boots”. Not so fashionable…ha! Your weather is about like what we are experiencing here in Central Indiana. All my people came from Laurel County, KY.

  10. That’s really cute ,I like the look. I bought some rain boots ( not hunter brand ). I ordered them online . So we will see 😳

  11. Thank you for styling these boots! I have been on the fence about them as I am not sure I am still “young” enough to pull the look off! And I wasn’t at all sure about the shorter boots since I am nearly 6 ft tall that leaves a lot of room and sometimes makes me look dumpy! But your look is great and I might just give them a try! Love the 25 days of winter even though it may never turn cold in Texas this year!

  12. Cyndi, Do you have a hard time getting your tall hunter boots off? I just ordered the short boots and I’m on the fence about keeping them. However, seeing you style them may have just helped me make my decision to keep them.

  13. Cyndi, I love this outfit from head to toe! While it doesn’t get that cold here in South Central GA, we have lots of sand all in our yard. This area has been known as the sand capital for the state. So, my footwear gets dirty every time I step off of either porch. A pair of the short hunter boots with the shine sponge just might be the answer. I hate dirty shoes, so I’m forever using a Clorox wipe to clean the white on my athletic shoes and wipe down the rest of the shoe.

How does the sizing run in the Hunter boots? Thanks!

    Have a blessed day!

  14. Love everything about this outfit and you model it so very well!!! Love the shorter boots paired with the socks, which works well for shorter gals. Would love to see some pics of your house decorated for Christmas. I KNOW it is absolutely beautiful and we could get some decorating ideas from you. So it would be appreciated if you might could slip a few of them in. Enjoying your 25 days of winter fashions! Blessing to you, sweet girl!

  15. I don’t have any Hunter boots, but my daughter and step-daughter do and both love them. We actaully got both of them the cable knit socks for Christmas – shhh :). I think I would like these as they aren’t so tall. My problem is, the most time I’m in the rain is walking in/out of work and although super cute, this outfit won’t work for work. Still I suppose I could wear them in/out and change once in the building. Thanks for a great post!

  16. Thanks for the tip on the hunter boots….I ordered a pair of the exact same boots but in black glossy! Look forward to wearing those. I did try on the tall boots and when I was trying to get them off I had to ask my friend to pull them off they are so difficult. We had a great laugh at Nordstrom when trying them on!!

  17. Love this outfit, top to boots! Perfect for the weather we are having in the Ozark mtns in north Arkansas. Enjoy your blog everyday!!!

  18. Can you believe that I’m this old and don’t have a pair of these boots? But really, it hardly rains here….and I’m an indoor girl!
But I love how you added the socks! I made a pair of sock cuffs like this for my blogette, Jude a couple months ago, and I may have to make a pair for me because this is so cute!!
    Great look, Cyndi!
