Budget Friendly Holiday Outfit-Winter Fashion

Welcome to my 25 Days of Fashion! The Christmas season is in full swing so today I’m sharing a budget friendly holiday outfit.

Most of us have holiday parties to attend and plenty of opportunities to get dressed up. However, purchasing new clothes for all of our get togethers can be overwhelming.

If you’re on a budget, I recommend purchasing a pair of black velvet pants and wear them with different tops/sweaters.

I styled these velvet pants earlier with a cold shoulder sweater.

This blouse is great for holiday get togethers but it can also be worn after Christmas. I added a choker necklace and large earrings.

Beauty For the Heart~~Christmas is a special time of year but there are many people who struggle during the holidays. Some are spending their first Christmas without a loved one. Many military families are not able to spend Christmas together.

If there’s someone you know who is having a difficult Christmas think of a way you can encourage them. Maybe a phone call, a card, or a text letting them know you’re thinking of them!

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Have a blessed day!

  1. Just found your blog recently. I must say I love your style. You have me rethinking & changing up my wardrobe. Thsnks for the inspiratiom. Love this outfit on you! The pop of color in the top is perfect on you! By the way I have a bunch of relatives in Lexington & Winchester. Merry Christmas!!

  2. I purchased the dark pink blouse at Target after reading your post yesterday. I did size down to a Medium from my normal size large. (Glad I tried it on in the store.) This is a great pop of color and can work for a Valentine’s day date too. Also plan to style with a black pencil skirt.

Just love your style. You always wear the cutest outfits. This is my first Christmas without my father who passed away in August. I’m also from KY.. looking forward to spending some time with my mom and family.. Was looking for style inspiration and saw your post referring to Thellosians 5:11. God always works through others.

Blessings to you and your family

  3. I have a pair of velvet pants and I never wear because I dont know how to style them! Thanks for the outfit ideas! I love the pops of color for Christmas! Blessings!

  4. Thanks for this budget friendly outfit 🙂 I’M LOVIN’ THIS BLOUSE!!!!! I have ordered 2 things from G. Farms,, one from Nordstrom (under 50 dollars — whoohoo 🙂 ) and one from the LOFT …. all because you wear them SO well and they fit my budget!!!! Thanks for showing us women how to wear things, feel good about ourselves … and for the “beauty for the heart” …. because looking good on the outside is nothing if we don’t have JESUS on the inside … PS… IT WOULD BE SO FUN TO SEE YOU AND YOUR SISTER (BENEATH MY HEART) DO A PHOTO SHOOT SOMETIME <3

  5. Can women who are a little on the “fluffy” side wear peplum shirts likethe pink one?!! Or, will oitjjust make us look a little “fluffier”?! Would appreciate any advice.

  6. I would like to check out the choker, but whenever you style something from Baublebar, my safari won’t open it. Can you give me an idea of a place with a similar one? I haven’t tried the choker trend yet, but liking it more and more. Welllllllll, except for my neck that is aging. I’m like one other lady, wondering if I want to draw attention to it. 🙂 LOL Enjoy your day. You look so beautiful as always and that vibrant color in the blouse looks so pretty on you.

  7. I love this outfit! Question: Are velvet pants only appropriate during the holiday season?
You do such a wonderful job with your blog; I really appreciate all you do!

  8. Love all of these! Especially the velvet pants! Definetly going to put those on my list. I really like the choker but would like to hear some feedback on how ladies feel about them if they don’t love thier chin and neck…..I have a bit of sagging in that area and wouldn’t want to highlight that! You look wonderful in them! Blessings Krista

  9. This is a great post! I love the idea of a pair of velvet pants. They are so versatile. I have been wanting something in velvet but hadn’t figured out what it would be until now. Thanks for the tip! You look lovely in all your outfit! Peace! Cheryl

  10. Love the pants too! I ordered them when you styled them the last time and plan on wearing this weekend for my Christmas party! Might have to pick up this blouse though I love it!

  11. I put the purse and the top my Christmas list. I love the top it is so me.

Thanks for styling budget friendly. I also don’t have a Nordstrom’s close.

I love your Beauty from the heart

  12. That choker necklace is one I can get on board to wear – so cute! And that color on you is fantastic – you are simply glowing in the photos. Loved that little purse yesterday and still loving it today, of course I’m a sucker for the “kate spade” looking stripes anyway. Thanks for a great look Cyndi!

  13. I so enjoy the fun outfits you put together. You always look pretty and approachable. I think that is the highest compliment. I appreciate that you and Jolynne model clothing and accessories in a variety of price points. Very Stacy and Clinton like:) I very much miss their show, and your blog fills that void. I also like your daily devotional because true beauty begins inside. You demonstrate that – beautifully.
