Red and Black Buffalo Check Tunic

Merry Christmas! It’s hard to believe Christmas is here! I still have presents to wrap and baking to do but it’s all good. I’m going to crank up the Christmas music and enjoy this season!

Today I’m styling this adorable buffalo check tunic from Glamour Farms Boutique. One of the things I love about shopping at a boutique is you find unique pieces and this buffalo check tunic is one of my favorites.

I’m carrying a black crossbody bag but a leopard print clutch would look great with this tunic for some pattern mixing.

I’m so honored that you have taken time out of your day to stop by my blog. If you don’t want to miss a post, you can sign up to receive my daily emails and you’ll never miss a thing. I’m also on FacebookPinterest and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~I love this reminder from Matthew 6: 19-21, “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be”.

Today store up treasures in heaven by spending time in God’s word.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hello, Cyndi….

I’m typically an avid reader of your blog and have been for a few years now, but unfortunately I’ve fallen behind due to events that have occurred recently in my life. After the passing of my dad in November 2015, I was faced with the dissolution of my marriage this past November 2016, and an unexpected health scare for my mother all within the same month! I’m now trying to figure out this new way of life for me, and mother has been on the mend, so I’m finally able to catch up with your blog, in which I truly enjoy reading and I love all the stylish outfits you create for all of us!

Additionally, I am super excited about you’re speaking engagement at the Laurel Co. Public Library in March! I’m only 25 minutes away and hopefully I’m able to attend. I’m so looking forward to hearing you speak and meeting you! Keep up the wonderful work!

  2. I am so excited because I wanted to order this shirt after I saw this blog. But, when I went to order they were sold out! But, yesterday I checked and they had 3 left! I ordered one with your coupon code and it was under $30 with shipping. I can’t wait because I also have those old navy jeans. The only thing I don’t like about this tunic is how the pattern doesn’t look like it matches on the back. Have you noticed that? Or is it the camera angle? Regardless, I love this outfit and an so excited the shirt is back in stock (now only 2 left!)

  3. Greetings from Chicago!
Thank you for everything you do. I really enjoy your posts.
Do you find that the items from Glamour Farms wear well. I’ve ordered 2 items from them and they have both pilled horribly. I’m not sure if it’s just the quality of those items but was curious.
    Happy Holidays,
    Ann

    1. Ann,
I am in the process of trying to get a return label from Glamour Farms and no one is responding. I have items that I wish to return that were purchased with free shipping. I am very disappointed in their customer service & their lack of quality merchandise.

      1. Hi Amy,
I found their company lacking on customer service also. I bought a pair of leggings and they were awful! Thin and see through. They refused to let me return them stating they were “undergarments.”
I understand that they are a small company but their products are cheaply made and they don’t stand behind their products. I’ve vowed to never buy from them again. I love Cindy but I’m surprised she likes them so much.

        1. Ann,
You have purchase protection through your credit card company.

I’m on online merchant, a very small business, and I go out of my way to make sure my customers have a good experience.

        2. Ann if you have any problems you can always email me. I work with Glamour Farms because they are a christian business that works hard to offer quality clothes at a reasonable price. They are not a high end store but they will go above and beyond to work with my readers.
As far as their leggings, it does state that shapewear is a final sale.
Again I am sorry if there have been any problems. I share clothes from lots of stores and I try my best to share things I love and hope my readers will love them too.
          Have a wonderful New Year!
          Cyndi

      2. Hi Amy, I am so sorry you are having problems. I am very surprised because they have great customer service. I would be happy to let them get in touch with you if you would like me to give them your email address. If not call 618-665-FARM (3276) and ask for Pam. Tell them you are one of my readers and you have talked with me.
These ladies are friends of mine and they work hard to have the best customer service.
Let me know if I can help in any way!
        Cyndi

  4. Merry Christmas to you and your family Cyndi. I have had a rough last 6 months with Cancer surgery and then another major surgery to repair damage caused to my bladder from the first surgery. I am THANKFUL to say the Cancer was Stage 1 and I am now CANCER FREE and no further treatment is required. With GOD’s Grace and Love I was able to endure the past months with his PEACE and HEALING. Your blog is in my favorites and everyday that I could I would read the message, listen to the songs and enjoy just being with God every morning. I am feeling great now, just regaining my strength, 2017 is going to be amazing. Thank you for what you do!! I am looking forward to trying some of your great outfit mixes in the New Year. “She who Refreshes Others will herself be Refreshed. Psalm 11:25. What a great way to start my day…Enjoying your blog every morning over a hot cup of coffee. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

  5. Wish you lived closer to Houston, TX. I would love to have you speak at our women’s events at church!
I wish you and your family a blessed Christmas and New Year!

  6. Dear Cyndi, although I don’t comment often, I follow your blog everyday 🙂

Thank you for sharing your Beauty for the Heart with us and for the many beautiful outfit ideas.

It might be a bit too late for you, but are you still going to share your home Christmas décor ideas? Would love to see them 🙂

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a Joyous Christmas and many of God’s blessings for 2017.

    Blessings!!!!

  7. The red, black checker came back out 3’s yrs ago, and I love it. I think the first time I saw it was years ago in a Field & Stream catalog, not that many years ago haha ! My Friend got her husband that pattern in flannel sheets for Christmas, how country & warm looking they will be. From time to time, I read a comment or two from the other ladies that follow you. Most of us share the same comments about, what a blessing you have been to us { me } in the very short time I have followed you. So much of what you say, do, wear, is me. That is so neat. I ask my kids what was the first Christmas gift ? It was a child. My point is, that we never forget the reason for this season. it is the Birth of Jesus ! Merry Christmas to You & Your Husband, and family. My prayer is that God continues to Bless You in the new coming year.

  8. I love this too even checking out online. Then I saw the back, my black plaids have to line up. Does look nice on you.

  9. I love this cute top! Thank you for introducing me to Glamour Farms. I never would have know about them without your blog. I found your site thru Pinterest and have definitely upped my style with your help. I am older than you and a different body shape but still can apply what you post to looking better myself. Thank you so much! Merry Christmas to you!

  10. Love this twist on one of my favorite patterns ever!
I’ve so enjoyed your blog posts this year. You inspire me well beyond style. Thanks so much for all you do! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

  11. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year sweet Cyndi! Your blog is the first fashion blog I began following and yours and Jo-Lynne’s are the only ones I still follow. I am so excited that you will be doing a speaking engagement in Louisville in 2017. I plan to attend! May God bless you abundantly this Christmas season and throughout the coming year.

  12. Good morning Cyndi,..
My husband insisted that I share with you something that happened to me yesterday. We were having breakfast in one of our favorite restaurants, and I felt pretty good about what I was wearing. ( it was a chilly day). Our server, a young woman several decades younger than me actually said ” I love your style”. I wasn’t even sure I heard her correctly, but my husband assured me that was what she said. I politely said thank you so much, even though I was a bit embarrassed. The reason I am sharing this with you is due to the fact that I follow your blog daily, and have designed my style around yours. I have only been following you for about 6 months or so, but I knew I needed to change my style after dressing frumpy for years, and after losing 80 pounds this year. Thank you for all you do, and God Bless you and your family this beautiful Christmas season.

    1. Linda that is the sweetest story and thank you so much for sharing it with me. Congratulations on your weight loss! May God bless you and your family this Christmas season.
      Merry Christmas,
      Cyndi

  13. Merry Christmas Cyndi

I love, love, love your style and it has helped me to update my style sense while being on trend, yet always appropriate for my age. My daughter loves that I follow you because now she is borrowing my clothes…lol. Hope you enjoy the special moments with your family and Happy New Year!

  14. I really like the tunic Cyndi! It is definitely one you can wear all winter.

I hope that you and your family have a very Blessed Christmas!

      1. Cyndi, He is finally getting over the pneumonia, thank goodness. This was his off week for chemo, so he’s had a bit of a break. The chemo resumes on 12/27. Thank you for asking! Please keep us in your prayers!

  15. I would prefer a V-neck or even rounded and an even hem but love this as a tunic. Would be cute over black leggings. I always love this pattern!
