Over The Knee Boots from Payless

Happy New Year! I’m excited about a New Year and we are going to have some fun being fashionable this year. I can’t wait to start sharing trends for 2017.

I don’t know why, but I always get giddy thinking about trends even if I can’t/don’t wear all of them. Speaking of trends, over the knee boots have been all the rage this fall and winter season.

Today I’m styling a pair of over the knee boots from Payless. They are trendy and cute but the best part is they’re affordable.

These over the knee boots have a 2 1/2 inch block heel. They also come in wide width and extended calf.

I styled these boots with a comfy sweater and scarf. During cold winter weather, this is a typical outfit that I wear when I’m shopping or running errands.

The Tinley Over the Knee Boots from Payless are a great addition to your winter wardrobe.

Have you tried the over the knee boot trend?

I’m so honored that you have taken time out of your day to stop by my blog. If you don’t want to miss a post, you can sign up to receive my daily emails and you’ll never miss a thing. I’m also on FacebookPinterest and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty for the Heart~~I began the New Year reading Isaiah 43:19, For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

I believe God is always wanting to do a new thing in our lives but the question is, are we looking for it? Let’s start the New Year looking and listening to see what God is going to do this year.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Love your style and love that you honor Jesus! I have been toying with doing something in Pinterest that was for women over 60 and also sharing scripture. Bless you for sharing your heart and fashion!

  2. Thank you for sharing affordable fashion in today’s post! It seems that so many fashion bloggers post things that are so expensive – I was attracted to your blog years ago even though I’m 20 years younger because you always posted cute, affordable looks. Thank you for doing that and I’d love to see more affordable fashion in 2017!

  3. Sadly they don’t have my sweater size at my local Target and mail order is not available. Wondering if you can suggest an alternative sweater?

  4. Good job on starting your year with Exercise. How often do you go to your class? I need accountability, but live in a small town with no classes. Driving 1/2 hr. doesn’t work for me to go to a town with classes. 🙁 Anyone have a good exercise routine that works for them at home? I don’t need to loose weight, just tone. 🙂 Love your outfit Cyndi. Looks like what I wear most the time. I love a cozy, casual look. Looking forward to 2017 with you and your blog. 🙂

    1. I too live in a small town 4 stop lights, untill we finally got a gym, I was doing that 1/2 h.drive. I live in florida so I was able to go to the park and walk also walked up and down my road. But on the days in January when it gets cold, I made use of my cable tv with the exercise channel or YouTube videos on m tablet, with hand weights 5 -8 lbs. I got up early while the house is still and worked out,or walked up and down the road as the sun was coming up toting a flash light I live in the country. Start out slow with your goal two or three days a week, and work your way up to more. Scheduling your workouts as appointments take a week at a time, the reason I say this is if you go about it with the attitude by may I am ……. you wil lose interest, so one week at a time. And remember just because you are working out you still need a healthy balanced meal plan. Good luck.

      1. Thanks Stella for taking the time to reply and encourage. I have a hard time motivating myself to do something by myself. I too try to walk my road, but really need to be around people. I have one stop light in town. 🙂 LOL I appreciate your encouragement to start slow. I like your 2-3 days a week to start and to schedule it. I think I need to do it in the morning, even though I’m not a morning person. If I don’t, the day goes on and it doesn’t happen. Hoping to start something tomorrow. 🙂 Thanks again.

        1. I know what you mean about if you don’t work out in the morning the day gets by you that happens to me also. Ok this is going to sound funny, but it woked, print out a month calender, hang it on the refrigerator, get some stickers that you like, and each day you workout place a sticker on that day. Get a cheap pedometer, to wear and log your steps for that day on the calendar also. Don’t worry about how many you get, as long as you get in some steps. My email address is shewolf1992@hotmail.com if you want to email me subject line ut in the word motivation that way I wil know its you. Stella

  5. Hi Cindy
I love the look of over the knee boots but am not sure I don’t have thin knee area…do o think they are slimming to heavier legs???
    Thanks Rebecca
P.S. I wear regular zip up leather boots all the time but always been afraid to try over the knee

  6. I will need to check out Payless for new boots. I don’t see people wearing over the knee boots in northern Nevada.

  7. Your beauty from the heart today is just the Bible text I was looking for. I am using that for this months inspiration.

  8. I purchased these from Payless and love them! The heels is the perfect height. I wore them all day yesterday and my feet didn’t hurt! I’m 5’5″ and I think on anyone taller they wouldn’t be OTK. I would love them to be 1/2″ taller. I used the money I saved by shopping at Payless to get some shoe protectant spray from them and I treated them prior to wearing. Also, I feel like they run 1/2 size big. I usually wear a 9 or 9.5 and the 8 fit but the 8.5 is what I purchased due to a little more room across the top of the foot. Thanks for featuring an affordable brand like Payless! I purchased a wedge laceup sandal you featured in the spring too and loved them!

  9. Hi Cyndi,
Would you consider doing a post on “how to read the word without feeling overwhelmed”?? I struggle with reading the bible for myself, without the help of devotionals or listening to teachings. There has got to an easier way without having to go to seminary! 😉
    Thank you 🙂

  10. As always, you look adorable Cyndi! And, there’s nothing better than staying up late talking to our daughters…priceless!

You asked what we might like to learn or see in 2017. Could you educate us on body type and what styles and lengths look best? I’m 5’3″ and I think I’m an hourglass but am always second guessing myself. I don’t think height has anything to do with body type but it certainly does with clothing styles! I need an expert to tell me what body type I am or else, exactly how to know. I look at picture diagrams but they’re still confusing.

Blessing to you and your family in 2017!

  11. I would like to see a post on reasonable priced skin care. You did a post once over a year ago and that is what pulled me in to your blog. I am not a believer of injections but like the clean and radiant skin look. Thank you!

  12. I purchased these boots in black, but I love them in the brown color you are wearing! They look fantastic with the purse, I like how those tie together. I haven’t bought from Payless in years, but I purchased the pointed toe booties when you featured them on your blog. They are comfy and I am enjoying them a lot! Thanks for putting affordable items on your blog. I appreciate it so much!

  13. I think the over the knee look is very stylish. I am not seeing a lot of people in California wearing them. I was down in Southern California for the Holidays. They a very on trend but I still only saw a few gals wearing them. They were teens wearing very short skirts. Maybe our weather is to warm. I asked the shoe sales girl at Macy’s and she mentioned she is seeing people wear mostly booties. I’m curious. Are you gals in other states seeing them a lot. Thanks Cyndi for posting a pair with a lower heel!

    1. Could be your warmer weather. I’m a Colorado gal and we’re “on fleek” with a lot of OTK booties here!

  14. Just wanted to say thanks for featuring those Hush Puppie lace up booties back on 11/26. They are so comfortable and they look really cute on. So glad I purchased them! Great recommendation, would not have purchased them otherwise.

  15. Beautiful outfit today, Cyndi. Just wanted to let you know that when I attempt to access your Archives or search the website it takes me to your shop my favorites page instead. I hope you have a happy New Year!

  16. Wow! That’s a lot of working out – the most exercise I’ve gotten lately is the squatting up and down painting trim in my house…I will be better this year. 😁 And yes, I’m still in vacation mode…last day today 😔
Our reading plan at church this year included picking a word for the year – my word is ‘mindful’, to be mindful in how I spend my time, the things I read, the things I say, what I eat, etc. – mindful.
Your blog is such an inspiration in so many ways- thank you! I appreciate the age appropriate styles and consideration to cost, yet still so stylish- even my 25yr old loves your style – she says ‘that Ms. Cyndi has got it going on’. Your beauty from the heart is so spot on some days – often it’s just what I needed to hear.
Happy New Year- keep up the good work!

  17. Hi Cyndi! I absolutely love your blog! I would love to know what your speaking schedule is this year, is there a link on your site? Thanks so much and I wish you a blessed new year!

  18. I bought the black and cognac color. They are so comfortable and so on trend plus I bought them when they were at $19.99. I have been using them non stop. I’m 5’3″ and they look fone. Someone was asking me about them at the mall.

  19. Hi Cyndi,
I really enjoy reading your blogs! You asked for ideas so how about something using Pantone’s 2017 color of the year “Greenery”. Whether it be in clothing or home decor. It’s fresh, clean & natural and a wonderful way to start the new year or even Spring. xxoo

  20. I’ve been surprised at how much I love my OTK boots—and I’m older than you, Cyndi!
I feel like they add some extra warmth during these colder months. Especially when I’m wearing a skirt—then I don’t have the break between skirt & boots!
You look fabulous! And great job working out!

  21. Those are super cute ! Look fabulous on you & the heel seems good to be comfortable & stylish at the same time. I will check to see if they carry 5.5 or a 5. I have a time with a small foot & of all things………..shoes & boots are my weakness. I love clothes but I really love shoes & boots. 🙂 Thanks for the link to Payless & tipping us off.
