Casual Mix Print Dress from Gap

Hello Monday! Today I’m sharing a casual mix print dress from Gap that I styled with navy leggings. This dress can easily transition into spring and be worn with sandals. It’s also 40% off  with code overtime!

Casual Mix Print Dress from GapI wore this dress to church but it would be a great dress for casual work wear. I like that it has long sleeves and side pockets.

Beauty for the Heart~~God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. Matthew 5:8

The Greek word for pure is katharos which means clean, unstained, innocent, or upright.

God is looking for men and women who desire a clean heart. Who strive for what is right. The blessing is the more pure or clean in heart, the more we will see God.  He will show up in ways we can’t imagine.

My prayer today is Psalm 51:10, Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Have a blessed day!

  1. I live in Houston and had the privilege to be part of the production team who set the stage for halftime. Over the past two weeks I spent at rehearsals and getting to know many different people, God opened my eyes to be less judging and more accepting of those who are different than me. We all had one goal in mind – to get the stages set and broken down in a specific amount of time. It was so awesome to all come together and then celebrate during and after the performance. It was a dream to be on the field to experience it. The best part was when we all came together, led by the production team leader “Cap Spence”, and prayed for the performance, all who were involved in it, the game, the players and the fans – a moment I will never forget! And – loved your outfit today and the versatility of it! Here in Houston we are wearing leggings and jackets one day and the next shorts and flips!

  2. Cute dress! Does the fabric hold up well? It said 100 Rayon & I have had trouble with some of that stretching out of shape when washed? I like the idea of sandals or flats or some casual shoe with this . My lace up denim sandals came in from DSW & would look great for Spring & Summer. I usually have to order the 5.5 & wait but at least can see what they look like in the store. http://www.dsw.com/shoe/unisa+brilee+gladiator+sandal?prodId=381245 Comes in different colors but I got the navy deni just incase someone needs sandals early.

  3. Cute outfit!!!!

Cyndi, how do you know which prayer I need to hear on the day it is needed? I love this prayer and will adopt it for the rest of this month.

    Thank you kindly!

  4. This is an ADORABLE look on you, both with and without the jean jacket! I don’t think it is too short, just right for you!

  5. Cute dress on you. I love navy clothes. It will look so cute with flats this Spring like you said. GAP has cute things and usually their items go on sale quickly, so no need to pay full price. They are good for lots of sizes too. Thanks for sharing the great scripture today too. Blessings.

  6. What did I think about the game? I loved it!! I am happy for Tom Brady. He has worked hard his whole life only to have his reputation slammed with deflate gate. He and the team proved they are awesome athletes, not cheaters! Yay Pats!!!

  7. The outfit looks great on you, I don’t think I can pull it off though. I am waiting for my boots to arrive will the second pair I ordered regular and wide calf as I work out and sometimes the shaft is to tight….

I was not much into the game just wanted to see the commericals, but mainly to see Lady Gaga perform. I saw her in concert in Las Vegas a few years back and she puts on an awesome show. She is an artist which is why I pretty much knew she would not make any type of “political” statement that I noticed one of the reponses above said her husband did not want it on for fear of that. I would however say the fact that she preceded her songs with lines from “God Bless America” and “This Land Is Your Land” was a reminder of how great this counrty is and we need to be unified.

    Enjoy!

  8. I’ve been trying to find the information/link for the juice cleanse that you had posted. I would appreciate receiving the link again. Thank you!

  9. Well I’m not a Lady Gaga fan myself either, but thought she did a nice job. This morning my daughter and I was visiting about her show. One thing that I was thinking during her performance was that she was didn’t have rock hard abs, she looked great though I thought. I thought what a great look to let America see. My daughter was telling me she has had her struggles and she thought she looked great too. I heard some people was making comments on her figure. Why do people have to be so judgmental, it’s not our place to be this way. Luke Bryan did a great job singing too.

Oh the football game was a good one too.
    Have a great day.

    1. Dinelle,
One of my co-workers made the same comment how her daughter could relate to Lady Gaga displaying a positive body image for everyone.

  10. Cute outfit!

I was looking to find a post that you did about a tint for foundation to give a sun kissed look. I was unable to find it. Would you please remind me of the name of this product.

  11. Cute outfit!

I was looking for a post that you did about a product to tint foundation to have a sun kissed look, would you please remind me what it is?

  12. Well, this is one of the first outfits for 2017, I am just not feeling 🙁
Not sure if its the black leggings with the brown boots and all the colors in the dress, throwing it off for me?

  13. Really cute. Like it with the jean jacket the best. The game was so good, no matter which team won! While I was routing for the underdogs (I always do) I was also happy to see a comeback. Either way was a lesson in life 🙂 I was anticipating a “rant” at half-time from someone that lives far above the rest of us. But, I was pleasantly surprised. She put on a great show, and I learned a lesson in how to speak you feelings with grace. The commercials were really good this year too. The T-Mobile “Shimity, Shimity, Sham, Sham,” with Justin B. was so funny! Just saying that is funny.

  14. Cute outfit! You always look so great.

I can’t believe I’m feeling so down about losing a football game. I’ve been a Falcons fan all my life and was hoping we’d pull it off. Oh well……it’s back to work today and getting a more positive attitude. 🙂

I hope you have a great Monday!

  15. Good morning Cyndi,

That dress with the Jean jacket and without is so cute and I like the idea of wearing it with flat sandels for spring.

Did you know shopping is a sport¿? LOL. Great buy!!!

The game was awesome. Although we did not support the half time show, we turned it off due to possible political statement. We really enjoyed the beginning show of “America the Beautiful” “God Bless America”!!!
Edwin McCain who sang the National Anthem did a wonderful job.

Thank you for sharing God’s word. You are a blessed beauty from the heart.

    Alice

  16. Very cute dress Cyndi! I like the jean jacket with it, as well. I am an Atlanta native and I live football. I went to bed very disappointed and all out of sorts about our loss, and woke up feeling the same way this morning. Then I stopped and realized that my focus needs to be on Jesus. He never lets us down and He always wins. My life is not directly impacted by whether we win or lose the Super Bowl. While I am not a Lady Gaga fan, I thought her half time show was energetic and enjoyable to watch.

    Have a blessed Monday!

  17. We are Green Bay Packer Fans, so we watched the game with our Packer friends, enjoyed yummy food, went 4-wheeling, and played pool. Low key, but the come back at the end was pretty cool.

  18. You asked what we thought about the game and the half time show. My husband said we needed to turn off the halftime show because we were afraid of a political statement but I heard it was actually a good show. I wrote a blog today about my feelings of the Super Bowl winner and how the Patriots are my #32 team out of 32 teams and how I was so angry when I went to bed and then…..we prayed like we do each night. And we prayed for our kids and those with cancer and those who are suffering from brokenness and addiction – people we know personally. And I realized that I don’t know one single person personally on either of those teams and no one knows or cares how I feel. So I decided to let it go because the devil wants me to be angry and have evil feelings toward others. God placed on my heart to use my energy for good – for those who do CARE and to show I CARE for those I really do know. A very humbling lesson from the Lord to me last night! I sure did sleep better……well at least that’s what my husband said when he moved to the other room due to my snoring! Have a great day!

  19. Cyndi I truly enjoyed your beauty for the heart today. It has encouraged me. Love your style look for today as well. Have a blessed week!

  20. Good Morning. Love your GAP dress! I’m writing for another reason though. You’ve been talking a lot about essential oils lately. I was wondering if you are experiencing any premenopausal symptoms and have used any essential oils for that. I’m 46 years old and experiencing horrible night sweats and hot flashes. I’ve been reading up some on treating with essential oils since I really don’t want to treat with hormones. Just wondering if you’ve had any experience with this.
    Thanks!
