Happy Sunday ladies! Today, Feb 19th, marks the launch of the first annual Fierce 50 Campaign bringing together 50 female bloggers over the age of 50 in a celebration of midlife on the 50th day of the year!
As women over 50, we are coming together to honor and celebrate one another and to show the world that turning 50 is a time of new beginnings. We are united as one and believe in standing together to genuinely love and support one another.
We have each partnered with another blogger and I am honored to introduce you to Barb at Southern Blonde Chic. She is an absolute beautiful lady, both inside and out.
I first found Barb on Instagram and when I heard her talk on Instastories (she has a southern accent), I knew I was going to like her.
While Barb loves to share fashion, her faith and her family are the most important. She has a daughter (22) who attends UNC-W and a son (20) who attends Winthrop University – they are her greatest blessings.
Barb started sharing fashion on Instagram in April of 2016 – when a friend suggested she try it due to her love of fashion and beauty. She thought it might be a fun way to document her upcoming monumental 50th birthday and decided to give it a try.
She was warmly received and her love for others quickly took over as she began forming the most wonderful relationships with so many like-minded women in the same age bracket – they were just so kind.
Barb has always loved people and loves to encourage others. She now takes her love for fashion and beauty and the joy she receives from helping others and writes a blog where she enjoys sharing fashion, makeup/hair and beauty inspiration. You can find her at Southern Blonde Chic.
Finally, Barb hopes to encourage others in their walk with God as she pours her passion into encouraging others to find joy in the journey.
I am so excited for Barb, as she is fairly new to blogging. I know God has great plans for her!

Beauty For the Heart~~Have you ever said something and then wished you could take it back? Boy I sure have! Words are powerful, they can encourage but they can also tear down.
Proverbs 10:19 says, When there are many words, sin is unavoidable, but the one who controls his lips is wise.
Let’s think about how what we say today. Let’s be women who encourage those around us.
Have a blessed Sunday!
