Stripes and Lace Up Flats

Yesterday I shared some casual style and today is another casual outfit for early spring. Stripes are everywhere and you’ll find both vertical and horizontal stripes.

Stripes and Lace Up Flats

I like that this top has long sleeves which is perfect for cool spring days.

Stripes and Lace Up FlatsI added lace up flats which are right on trend for spring. I like that these tie up with a ribbon, it’s very comfortable and they stay tied.

Stripes and Lace Up FlatsStripes and Lace Up FlatsMy jeans are Articles of Society and are from last year so they are no longer available. They do have a lighter option here and they’re a good price point for the fray hem trend.

Stripes and Lace Up FlatsSince we have had a warm winter, our grass is green but I can’t wait for the trees to start blooming. Woot!

  1. Woo Hoo! I found the shoes!!! It was definitely a “God Thing” that I did! I saved this post because I loved the shoes but just hadn’t had time to go shop. Finally, yesterday on my lunch hour I went to a Target near my office. I walked every aisle in the shoe department looking for the display . . . not there . . . I was so disappointed! The shoe department was in disarray, but on the top shelf, there was a pair in beige. Now, what are the chances they will be my size??? Stood on my tippy toes and grabbed the straps and pulled . . . OH MY!!!! They were my size!!!! I just had to stop right there and say a quick prayer thanking God, even before trying them on. AND THEY FIT PERFECT!!!! I walked the rest of the aisles looking for the display, but it wasn’t to be found!!! I’m telling you, it was a ‘GOD THING”! Just had to share!!!

  2. Hi Cyndi, I’m a day late on commenting but these days, buying and planning my daughters wedding, I’m lucky to even keep up with my own little fashion link. I love this cute outfit, I ordered the pink and white stripe long sleeve blouse last Springs you posted and I had a sweet older lady sitting in a car next to mine open her door and comment on my outfit as I got out of my SUV…. saying how beautiful I was in it. It was sweet… I wore that said blouse with white jeans and sandals that spring. I recently got it out of the storage tub, I had it in for winter months. and am eager to wear it again. Thanks for the reminder of that sweet old lady. God Bless you…..

  3. I love the casual look, Cindy!! I ordered the top and I have similar shoes I bought last year that you featured so I am all set!! Thank you for what you do for us!!

  4. Hi Cyndi!
Adore this whole outfit! Unfortunately the Discount code for Glamour Farms is not currently working.
Any advice? Should I contact GF direct?

Thanks! Keep the adorable wardrobe inspirations coming!

    In Christ,
    Rochelle

  5. what a cute outfit!!!!! LOVE that top!!!!! Have you started self-tanning yet?? That color makes you look so tan!!!!! Have a great trip, and i can’t see what you and Jo-Lynne come up with for Spring!!!!

  6. This is a great outfit Cyndi, love the top and the shoes. Have a safe trip to Nashville. Looking forward to your outfits. Will you do some pictures with both of you in them?

  7. You look so cute in the outfit today. I really like the top. Perfect transition piece. I bought those jeans you shared from last year and wear them all the time and they’ve really held up great. I can’t believe the weather you all are having out there. I’m on the Oregon coast…..1 hr. from the ocean and woke up to it snowing…. AGAIN. We’ve had more snow this year, which is crazy. I’ve enjoyed it and have wanted it until today. I was so ready for Spring with all the Spring series, blog talk. 🙂 Yesterday, I even dragged out some transition pieces from my other closet to put in my main closet……but, guess its sweater and boots today. Have fun on your weekend trip. Anxious for the pictures to come.

  8. Love this look on you! I am constantly on the look out for tops that come lower in the back like this – however being 5″1″ – they sometimes come a bit lower than I wish :).
Have a great weekend in Nashville. I am headed there later in March for a work convention & will be stressing about what to wear. I think it will be casual / business casual so I will be checking out your blog for good ideas.
    Blessings !!

  9. This outfit is super cute! The articles of society jeans look great and I think I’m going to try the ones you linked. Do you size down in this brand? I’m usually a size 6 in most brands. Have a great weekend!

  10. I really like this outfit Cyndi! You look great in it! I know that you and Jo-Lynne will have a wonderful time in Nashville. Have a safe trip.

    Be blessed!

  11. Love the outfit! You look great! I got some lace up flats in the fall, wore them once to work then never put them on again. I felt too petite aka short in them since so flat. I am in the normal weight range but I looked like I had gained 5 pounds and couldn’t handle that so back to the heels. LOL! Can’t wait for Spring either. It has been in the 80’s in Mississippi this week. I am looking for new cropped jeans 🙂

  12. Cyndi, You look super cute as always!! I love your top and the lace up flats…such a great outfit for spring!! Thank you for always sharing your ideas with us!! My family and I love Nashville! We live 2 hours west of Nashville and make lots of day trips!! Enjoy your weekend!! 🙂

  13. Have a great weekend in Nashville! Last weekend I could wear flats and ankle pants cause we had 50-60 degree weather her in MN. I know, we are not the frozen tundra everyone thinks we are 🙂 As I write this, it has started snowing and I am sad, so I am going to go and put socks on and put my BOBS for Dogs on the shoe shelf 🙁 (really cute shoes)

  14. Hi Cyndi! I have a family wedding in May. Do you ever style dresses that would be fancy enough for a wedding? What should I be looking for, trend-wise, as I dress shop?
Thanks so much! I highly value your opinion and fashion sense.

  15. Love this outfit! Casual yet chic. I’ve not yet embraced the lace up flats trend but these look so cute. I’ll take your word for it that they are comfortable. Sounds like a fun weekend! Enjoy!

  16. You always look great in everything, but I think the navy striped top you are sending back to Nordstrom is cuter and much more flattering.

  17. This is such a perfectly ageless & everyday look!! Both my mom’s (the models on my blog) would wear this!! I even bought them some lace up flats because I think they are a great, modern shoe!!
