Mixing Prints-Stripes and Floral

Welcome to Day 1 of my 27 Days of Spring Fashion Series! Jo-Lynne and I are excited to get this started. We will both be sharing a spring outfit each day during the month of March (except Sundays).

Today I’m mixing prints with a stripe top and floral pants, both are from Banana Republic. I want to include some work wear in my spring series and these Avery pants are perfect for work.

Mixing Prints-Stripes and Floral

I am styling these floral pants next week with a different top to give you more ideas on how to wear the same pant. I know some of you like to see different ways to style the same piece.

Mixing Prints-Stripes and FloralMixing Prints-Stripes and FloralMany of you have said you don’t wear high heels so I thought these block heels were a good option. I love the look of a block heel and these are on trend for this spring.

Mixing Prints-Stripes and FloralThis handbag is from Sole Society and I shared it with you yesterday. It’s a cute spring satchel and I think it works great as an everyday bag.

Mixing Prints-Stripes and FloralBaublebar has started selling their jewelry at Target. It’s called Sugarfix and they have a lot of trendy pieces for spring. My earrings (not online) and my bracelet are both from Sugarfix by Baublebar.

I’m so excited about all the spring trends! Make sure you stop by and see what Jo-Lynne is styling today.

Beauty for the Heart~~Hebrews 11:1 says, Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Maybe you feel your faith is wavering today.

Cling to Joshua 1:9, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

Have a blessed day!

  1. I love, love, love floral crop/ankle pants! I have so many in my closet that I had to make a promise not to buy any more. Well……..that was last year!! hahaha I am so glad they are still popular!

  2. I love this outfit. It’s so pretty. I’ll be thinking of you on March 4. Both my parents are gone now and I miss them every single day.

  3. Thinking of you as you think of your mom’s b’day and buttercups. I know how hard it is to loose a parent. My dad died falling off a ladder when I was 39 yrs. old. Very hard. I’m now 55 yrs. old. You never forget and miss them all the time.

  4. Cyndi….as soon as I read/saw your post this morning, I drove straight to Target and bought 2 pair of the sandals you styled (black and tan)!!!! They are so comfortable and they are very, very cute. Thank you for your style for us ….50 something gals.

    In Christ,
    Holly

  5. I love the floral pants and striped blouse. I think is goes well because the pink in the shirt is a feminine light pink. Thank you for the pictures (of fashion) and promises (from the Bible) always a great encouragement. Have a great March. Looking forward to the 26 more days

  6. Wow – this is gorgeous and I can’t wait to see the other outfits that you style for spring. Can you tell me if the floral pants have a black or navy background? Thanks so much!

  7. I was wondering the same thing as Katie, Cyndi! I’m curious as to the color polish that you are wearing on your fingers and toes. 😉 Do you wear the same nail polish colors on your hands and feet all year round as it seems that these have been your ‘go-to” colors for quite a while in your photos? I would love your perspective on the best colors for nails for women over 40 with aging hands. Thank you so much for your blog. . .I love your style!

  8. My comment doesn’t have much to do with your today’s post, although this is a super cute blend of patterns!! I primarily wanted to tell you I took your recommendation from an earlier post about Old Navy RockStar skinnies and I absolutely love them. I have bought so many different jeans and am always looking for the best pair. They have all of the features that are important to me. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks and that you were sooooo right about these jeans!! My new favorite pair!!

  9. Cute, cute outfit! I love the mix of stripe and floral. It has me hoping for some warmer temps. I’m loving the new cropped pant.

  10. Florals and stripes are fun to mix! There’s no full length standing shot in this post, which is the pose that I usually choose when pinning outfits to my Pinterest boards. It gives me the full feel of the outfit better, I think.

  11. Darling outfit, Cyndi! By the way, I ordered one of the Glamour Farms shapewear camisoles you featured last week or so. I love it!!! I was skeptical when I saw it was one size fits most, but I can understand now how it could indeed fit most sizes. It is close fitting, but not snug. I like that. Unfortunately, I bought it in navy because I had ordered a sheer navy top from another merchant that would require one. But then I didn’t like that top at all and returned it. But the camisole is a keeper, and I”m sure I’ll wear it with other things.

    1. Kay I’m so glad you like it! I actually wear the navy one a lot. You’ll probably be surprised at how many tops it can be worn with.
      Be blessed,
      Cyndi

  12. Do you know the color of polish that you are wearing on your hands? and Nails? it is beautiful- I have a hard time choosing the right color.

  13. Ohhhh..I don’t know about pairing stripes and prints together. I think it will have to grow on me. I love the shoes and the pants. I think I would have to choose a different top. It looks great on you though.

  14. I just bought that same top but in the gray/black stipes instead of the pink. It is really cute, comfy and appropriate for the office. I also just purchased a purse very similar to the one you have shown so yippee – looks like I’m channeling my inner Cyndi :). I like the stripes and floral together!

  15. You always look great. This is not my style though, I like classic over super trendy. For me there’s just so much going on it’s hard to focus the eye. I love that you love it though, it’s great when an outfit makes you smile 🙂 Isn’t it great to know there are things we don’t see, things we can put our trust in. I mean life gets hard sometimes so knowing there is more than this is something to be joyful about 🙂 Have a blessed day.

  16. I have not been able to let my moms influence soften enough to mix stripes and florals. As cute as those pants are, they would not compliment my shape. I will definitely have to checkout the jewelry at Target. I can’t wait to see all of the Spring outfits and pieces you and Jo-Lynne will be sharing with us.

    God bless!

  17. Cyndi, I think this is super cute on you and pink is my favorite color!! I’m excited about your Spring series and I know you will have lots of great ideas for us. Thank you for sharing your life, your heart, and your ideas with us! 🙂

  18. This is super cute on you!! I will have to think about the floral pants – but they really look nice with those shoes.
Curious as to what type jacket/sweater etc. you might style with this on a cool spring morning. I am always challenged with that given the early part of the day is cool as well as the temp in our office!

    Blessings!

  19. Good Morning,

This looks so cute on you! I have to say, I continue to have a hard time coming around to floral prints. Not sure what’s wrong with me. 🙂

I’m looking so forward to 26 more days of Spring fashion.

    Have a great day!

    Patricia

  20. I really enjoy your blog! Thank you so much for inspiring me in my relationship with my Heavenly Father, beauty both inside and out, and fabulous fashion ideas and tips! You are a blessing….enjoy your day!

  21. Well we had tornado sirens pealing before 6am this morning in Copley, Ohio…down we went to the basement for about 40 min. Thankfully all is well.
Love spring, except for those tornado warnings😳
Looking forward to all you two show us for spring fashions and challenges from the Word.
    Have a great day.

  22. That is a great outfit! Love the sleeves and you look perfect as usual. I am kinda that laid back casual girl in the summer so love seeing anything casual but of course I love to have the amazing cute factor in one focal point piece that you always have. The handbag is a steal for the price you got – no one would ever know unless you told them. 🙂 Enjoy your first day of March!

  23. Happy March! Cute spring outfit on you but I’m not crazy about the pants. Maybe it’s because I really don’t care for floral prints. But so excited about Sugarfix! Lots of cute stuff at a good price point. I may have to pull out my RedCard ☺️

  24. Love it! So funny, I ordered this top yesterday! I can’t wait to get it. I’m very excited for all the spring fashion you have for us.😊😊😊

  25. Hi Cyndi, You always look so fashion forward, love it!!! As a woman who loves style at the age of 57 and God

I notice I’ve been donating to my ladies I Love who help make our home cleaner! They appreciate it so and I
know it goes to great use!!! This is my way of giving back, I will be doing this 40 day challenge of cleaning out
during lent ((:, I’m beginning to learn more is just wayyyyy to much!!!
    Fondly, Jennifer
