Q & A + a Giveaway

Happy Saturday ladies! As promised, I’m going to answer your burning questions. Haha! Thank you for commenting yesterday and most of the questions you asked are the ones I get quite often. Make sure you read to the end for the giveaway!

1. Several of you asked about this stripe shirt I was wearing. I received it several months ago in my Stitch Fix box. It was cool in Kentucky the day I was flying home so this was a perfect top to wear. The brand is ReneeC.

2. Where did I get the necklace in this picture?? I typically wear pieces that I can link to but on this day I wore a necklace that was given to me as gift from my cousin. She purchased it at a boutique here in Lexington but it was last year. Sorry about that!

3. What nail polish and toe polish do you wear? I wrote a post about how I do my nails here. The lady who does my nails is a friend and she works from her home. It’s quiet and peaceful and we talk about family and Jesus and everything in between. I love her! She puts acrylic on my nails.

She also paints my toes and I use OPI Alpine Snow. I hope white polish doesn’t go out of style! I don’t like switching polish and I like that I can wear white all spring and summer and it matches everything. I like simple and easy.

You can see I’m a fan of neutrals on my hands and feet!

4. Let’s talk undergarments. I had to laugh when you all asked what bra I was wearing with this halter because I just tucked my bra straps in my bra. Ha!! Just for the picture. I will wear a strapless bra with this halter top.

Strapless bra-this is the most comfortable strapless bra I have ever worn. It stays put and I will wear it all day. Usually be the end of the day I’m ready to take it off but that’s typical of any bra I’m wearing.

T-Back (razorback) bra-I wear a lot of sleeveless dress and tops in the summer and I don’t like my straps showing. This bra works great! I wear it all the time.

Everyday Bra-this is a great everyday bra and I wear it a lot too.

Bonus, my favorite undies-these are so comfortable!!

Make sure you check the sizing on the bras because I think some of them run a little different. I typically order two different sizes and then send back the one that doesn’t work.

5. Exercise and clean eating-Okay, many of you know that I am passionate about staying healthy. It’s not easy and I have tried several different exercise programs.

I have been clean eating (not everything I eat but I try my best) for several years. I love the Skinny Taste blog for recipe ideas. Sometimes I order the box services and then I will quit for a while. I don’t like to cook so I keep it very simple, 1 Meat and 2 vegetables.

I have cut out most bread, dairy, and I don’t eat a lot of sugar. I still enjoy my sweets but I don’t over do it.

Right now I’m doing the Faster Way To Fat Loss Bootcamp. I LOVE IT! Many of you are joining me on this round that starts on Monday and I can’t wait!

It’s not easy but it’s doable. We workout 5 times a week and use weights which is what I was lacking in my previous workouts. There will be another round beginning May 22nd so I’ll be sharing more information for those of you who are interested.

I feel better and have more energy. Amanda Tress is our trainer and she is so encouraging and is passionate about helping women feel better.

6. Do I use self tanner on my face? No. I use it CC Cream in tan. But my secret to having a sun kissed look on my face is I use BareMinerals BareSkin Sheer Sun Serum Bronzer. I love this stuff! I add one drop to my cc cream and mix it up and add it to my face with a foundation brush.

7. What skincare do I use? Okay, I am one of those people who LOVE  to change my skincare and try new products. I recently tried the Drunken Elephant skincare line and I really like it.

I use this JuJu Bar in the shower on my face every morning. I use this over the counter Retin A  (this stuff is amazing and fades my age spots on my face) 4 to 5 times a week at night and the JuJu Bar removes in any dead skin from my face.

I also love Colleen Rothschild skincare and I use it all the time. Her cleansing balm is soooo good!! My second favorite cleansing balm is Bye Bye Makeup and it is less expensive.

I get asked about my skin a lot (always surprises me) but I think part of having healthy skin is taking care of your over all health. I drink lots of water, don’t smoke, I use sun screen, never go to a tanning bed, yada yada yada.

8. What do you use under your eyes for dark circles? I definitely have dark circles! I use this eye cream every morning and night.

To cover my dark circles I use Bobbi Brown corrector first. Then I use Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer and/or Nars Concealer. Depending on the day sometimes I use one or some days I use both.

9. How do you keep your makeup from sweating off?  I use CoverFx Illuminating Setting Spray. Love. this. stuff!

10. Do you get a lot of free clothes? Are you compensated? How much time do you spend on your blog?

Okay I am ALWAYS up front that this blog is my business and my income. I do get a large amount of free clothes but I’m also compensated for writing about the clothes. Free clothes or products don’t pay the bills.

When I first started blogging I loved getting free products but as my business has grown I am not able to accept product to share on my blog without being compensated. I will sometimes share about free products on my Facebook or Instastories on Instagram.

I spend a huge amount of time on my blog. I have a home office and I work regular hours at home just like I were going to work everyday. I’m sure at times this seems easy but there is so much work that goes into my business. I have deadlines that have to be met. When I work with a company they not only want a post written but they want it to be shared on all my social media.

Let me be clear about this. I get offered a ton of product and compensation that I turn down because it doesn’t fit with my brand or I don’t like it. I am always thinking about you, my readers, and I only share with you what I love! I feel like I have built a trust with you and I don’t take that lightly. If it is on my blog it’s because I love it.

Whew!! If you are still reading I feel like you deserve a trophy or something!! Haha!! I hope you know how honored I am that you stop by my blog. I am beyond blessed to be able to work at a job I love and I get to meet so many amazing women.

Just as a way of saying thank you I am giving away a $100 gift card to LOFT for one Grace & Beauty reader!

Beauty for the Heart~~I have gotten a lot of questions about our new journey. My husband recently resigned from his current position as senior pastor. In case you are new around here, I shared about our new journey here.

Thank you all for asking! We are both doing great. We are confident in our decision and believe that God has a plan. We are excited about whatever God wants us to do. You will be seeing a little more of Mr. Spivey here on the blog. Both in styling and sharing about faith. Videos are hopefully coming soon.

He is doing some preaching and will be preaching this Sunday. We are both passionate about sharing Christ and loving people!

Have a blessed day!

  3. Hi Cyndi – I tried commenting using your link, but it wouldn’t let me?? I do love florals this spring – I especially love to use florals in my tops to “pop” an outfit and use it as my focal piece. Otherwise I keep jackets and bottoms basic so I can carry them over season to season.

Love your white nail polish…it inspired me to wear a chalky pink color on my toes and nails (OPI) to wear with a lace pastel dress to wear for my son’s beachside wedding in the Florida Key’s over the weekend. It blended perfectly, without outstaging the dress. Sorry, I can’t recall the name of the color 🙁

Love the freyed jeans and I’m anxious to try block heels, they look comfy!

    Happy May Day!

  23. Hello Cindy, I am having a hard time finding cold shoulder tops that fit me right. I don’t like the way the sleeves lay on my arms. How should they lay? I am 5″2″. Maybe I should try these shirts in a petite size.

Blessings to you and your family!

  64. Thank you so much for the recommendation for the retin A. I actually just purchased a product called Key West retinol cream and got it in the mail yesterday. 89. Thanks for the informative post! I read your and Jo-Lynne’s blogs regularly, and it doesn’t look easy to me!! There are some days I just feel unmotivated or don’t feel like “getting ready”. I would imagine with a brand and following to think of, you don’t get too many down-time days. I think you both do a great job, and I appreciate how you both have the integrity to only promote products you believe in. Keep up your good work! Best of luck to you and your husband on this new phase of life!

  91. When someone such as myself first begins reading blogs, I started with just yours and Jolynne’s, it does appear easy
and super fun. But as I have read many now, some going into detail about their “typical day” it amazes me!! I could never be so organized with all the boxes coming in and out. Thanks for the hard work and all the tips, I have appreciated them. The one look I have NOT embraced is the cold shoulder, Ha, to me it looks like the shirt is incomplete. Hope your day is a peaceful one.

  92. I love that you are honest and candid about what is going on in your life. We all have struggles and yes, you make it look easy so thank you for sharing. I love the nude/pale pink colors for this year. It was popular last year and continues to stay in trend. I love it.

  115. Thank you for being so real Cyndi! I look forward to your posts everyday 🙂 And not just for the fashion. You have such an honest way about you that I sincerely love. Thanks for doing what you do – I’m sure it’s far more work than we realize.
As for spring – I love all the feminine patterns, ruffles, and just “prettiness’.

  133. I love your blog and appreciate your recommendations. My favorite soring trend is the fun sleeves on tops!!!

  134. I always enjoy hearing how things work, like blogging. I always wonder and wish I could get behind the screen.

Would rally enjoy spending $100 at loft without it effecting my bank account!

  135. I enjoy reading your blog. The fact that it is a Christian blog is what had me subscribe to it. I do like the honesty in your wrinting.

  136. I love your blog and read you daily! You have great style and look adorable in all the outfits you wear! I am a big fan of the cold shoulder look – I think it is very flattering – It’s funny to me that I’ve had men friends’ say ‘oo, sexy’ – when it is nothing more than a shoulder vs. when you wear sleeveless and they wouldn’t comment like that.

  137. I think florals. I really like your style and have pinned a lot of your outfits on my Pinterest board for Stitch Fix. 🙂

  138. Hi Cindy, I love the ruffles this spring. Great for the pear shaped figure as they draw the eye upward. (So I’ve been told).

I love how you are going on faith. I love hearing stories of people who have stepped out of their comfort zone and are trusting in God’s leading. Bless you.

  139. There are several trends I’ve been enjoying lately! Specifically scallops, tassels and pom-poms on everyday items like sandals and purses!

  140. My favorite fashion trend this Spring would probably be all the ruffles and bell sleeves. So very feminine and Cindi, you do a great job of highlighting those trends! So thank you!

  141. I love that most any length pants or crops are stylish now. And I love that a modified/more sophisticated hippy-era look is in! Takes me back to my growing-up era. How fun that I can get away with the styles I grew up with and enjoyed so much!

  142. I love the sandals this spring. I bought some open toe booties for the Chicago weather and I love them. I really love the wedged heal shoes as well.

  143. My favorite spring trends are blush-colored shoes and block heels. There is a blush pair of block-heeled sandals in my closet right now! They go with everything!!! 😍

  144. Loved this post Cindi! Thanks for sharing with us! It’s so amazing that your blog went from something you did to honor your mom to a “job” and source of income! Congratulations! It’s neat to see God at work as He leads His children along the path He has chosen for them. Blessings!

  145. My favorite trend this spring are the platform wedges! I love to wear heels but hate how they make my feet hurt. It is wonderful to wear a comfortable wedge that is on-trend!

  147. Love your blog, love your love and zest for Jesus, love your style! I’m loving the cold shoulder look and the ankle tie shoes this season. They’ve been around for a few seasons but now they’re everywhere and there is such a variety for all ages. Thank you for sharing yourself with us … be blessed!

  148. Your style and mine are very similar. I just turned sixty and want to be up to date and look stylish. You always look so put together.
Thank you for sharing your christian advice… very inspirational.
    Linda

  149. I see I have some competition Wink! I read the entire thing:) I love bell sleeves this spring. Is the retinol you use also an acne lotion? The link sent me to Target.

  150. When it gets warm enough, I’m looking forward to wearing casual dresses with white sneakers. It seems like it’s all about the sleeves this spring too–bell sleeves, lace & tie sleeves, cold shoulder sleeves. Should be fun! Thanks for your help with fashion update ideas. Cyndi! I appreciate it! You have helped me step out with more confidence!

  151. I like the pink jeans for spring. Though I am having trouble finding a pair! Old navy runs out of the strawberry color before they go on sale!

  164. Thank you for being transparent with us your readers. I love hearing about KY and about what God is doing in your life. I am a Kentucky girl who lives in NC. Love the Cats but not a fan of Calipari and am married to a Duke fan…it took me a long time to come around to that! 🙂

I work full time and volunteer part time with Operation Christmas Child so have not had much time to shop, but the things I have gotten for spring are dusty blue wedge sandals, ankle pants for work, a cold shoulder floral top that I ended up getting of the mannequin and getting free (b/c the store had zeroed it out!!), and my new Operation Christmas Child white shirt with wide cuffed sleeves!

  165. I have 2 trends I love – the ruffled sleeves and the block heels. The sleeves are so feminine, but who can walk in a stiletto?

  166. I am so appreciative for a Christian blog site w/ update fashion! Your honesty is beautiful ! Thank you for sharing

  167. Loved this helpful post! Thank you for taking the time to write it. Thank you for sharing Jesus in every post too. My favorite trend right now is the bell sleeve blouses. Thank you for styling some of those! God bless you and thank you for the giveaway!

Love your blog, read it every day! Thank you for your work – I appreciate it!

The Spring trend I most want to try is the pretty floral t-shirts/tops…

  186. I’m loving the cold-shoulder tops this spring. Your hair always is pretty, but I especially love it in the pic under #4. Very cute! Enjoyed this post.

  187. When I wanted to update my wardrobe I found your blog and have been following it for several years. I love that pink is in style because it’s my favorite color! 189. Thank you for sharing and answering all these questions. I love your blog! You have such a pretty, flattering and feminine style.
I’ll always love stripes and and enjoying th bell sleeves and other pretty sleeves this spring. I have to say I am growing to hate the cold shoulder tops – so so overdone. They are everywhere. Some were pretty but it’s just too much.

  190. The white jeans! 😎
    Great q&a, thank you
Question about the differin gel…my daughters been fighting forehead acne, should we try this for her?
    Thanks! 🤗

  191. Not a fashion trend, but I love everyone’s short hair! I would never do it myself (w/my big head… :/) but I love seeing all these other women with buzzed heads – very cool.

  192. Thank you for doing this post Cyndi! It was so helpful! I love the perforated detail in so many shoes this spring…especially perforated wedge sandals!

  193. I am loving the current floral and feminine touches right now and the different shades of pink are so pretty in all skin types and ages. I also love that you stick to your own personal style while embracing and sharing the trends with us, your readers. With so many different styles that come out each season, you take what looks good on you and for your age and style it fabulously. With so many fashion bloggers out there, I like that you stay true to yourself.

  194. Than you so much for this post and chance to win. I’ve been reading you for years and love watching you personal and your blog’s growth.

  195. My 10 year old daughter and I just gave each other a French manicure. I’ve never used white nail polish before but we both like the way it looks. Thanks for sharing that you like white polish all year-good to know!

  196. I am loving the bell sleeves, but prefer them to be 3/4 length not full sleeve length. And I love the cold shoulder. Need to try the Alpine snow polish for toes!

  197. I like the tips that you give and the links to the products that you use. But most importantly your love for our God!

  198. Love your blog..always an encouragement. I like all the ruffles and bell sleeves I am seeing. Thank you for all you do and share.

  199. This is a great post – I love the Q&A! I am loving the block heel sandals. Also, I want to try something wtih poms, but it will have to be the right thing. Still looking. ;0

  200. Thank you for taking time to answer the Q&As. It is always nice to know what others use. I always look forward to reading your blog, however, your Sunday post is my favorite. You and your sister always inspire me so much when I need it the most with your devotional messages.

  201. Love your blog and your sense of fashion! I love that you love Jesus and your family. I live in a rural area and don’t see a lot of fashion. It’s really great to follow you and be kept up to date!

  202. Well, Cyndy, my taste really runs close to yours. I LOVE all of the feminine ruffles, bell sleeves and lace. I’m older than you are, so I find that I do have to hold back a bit sometimes with these trends because I’m pretty concerned about not looking like I’m trying too hard to look young. But I’ve found that pretty much some form of every trend can be done with a bit of careful thought and lots of shopping to find the right amount of “trend” in a piece of clothing. (Hmm, the lots of shopping part seems to work well for me. Ha!) I use you as a gauge to age appropriateness and modesty cuz you’re always on point in those areas, and you always look fantastic!

  203. I am not a “pink” person, but am liking the blush trend this spring. On your advice I purchased a blush top with ruffles. I enjoy not only your fashion sense and posts, but appreciate you sharing your faith in our Lord. I look forward to hearing about the new path God has planned for your lives as well. It is so affirming to see answer to prayers.. Godspeed

  204. I love your blog! While I have always “gotten dressed” every day, I don’t really like to shop for clothes. Fit is frustrating but mostly if the outfit isn’t already put together on display, I’m at a loss. Now I know what the trend are and how I can incorporate them tastefully for someone my age.
I also love that you can be mindful of lookin’ good and have a heart for Jesus too.

Love the pretty details on even casual tops like bell sleeves, lace-up, and crochet or lace.

    Thank you!

  205. Love your simple style and that the clothes are affordable. I also love how down to earth you are. Love the great posts!

  206. I enjoy your insight and style. Being a pastor’s wife myself, I tend to dress more modestly and well to be honest….boring. You give me great ideas one how to maintain the modesty while incorporating today’s styles. I look forward to your email daily.

  207. Thank you for sharing with us! I love your style! I agree with the Wacoal bras–they are amazing especially for us with a larger chest.

  208. The pants and top are adorable. It looks so cool and comfy.
Question – the Differin cream is for acne but you find it works for sunspots, as well?

  209. I love hearing all your tips!

My favorite trend right now is the lace up sandals. Just bought myself a pair yesterday. 😊

  210. When I click on the link for the everyday bra, it takes me to the t-strap bra. Can you give the link for the everyday bra?

  211. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer questions. I always feel like I can trust you for honest opinions!

    Gwen

  212. Just want to say thank you . For your posts and your fashion tips!! I love your style , since your blog I have changed the way I dress, and the way I feel about clothes! God Bless

  213. Thank you for writing about all of these things! As a busy homeschooling mom, there’s not much extra time to think about girlie-stuff. Your blog keeps me up-to-date & is full of pretty styles that I can just quickly copy. I really appreciate that! 🙂
Favorite spring trend = cold shoulder sleeves.
    Blessings,
    Collette

  214. Thanks for all the info especially about the undergarments. My favorite spring trend is the all the different sleeves. The tops seem more feminine this season.

  221. Hi Cyndi! I love your blog and your style! On question #5 Faster way to weight loss, the link goes to Sephora. I remember reading one day about your workouts. I will go back and check it out. I want to find out more about the group. Thanks so much! I enjoy reading your blog everyday!

  222. Cyndi, I just loved reading this. It’s like we were having a girl’s night and you brought out all your favorite stuff. Thank you for sharing.
My favorite trend is the floral, it’s everywhere and I don’t typically run with all things flowery 😛 But I’m loving it!

    1. Hi Maureen, That is the right product. It is used for acne but they found that it diminishes age spots and wrinkles. You can google Retin A for wrinkles.
      Hope that helps!
      Cyndi

  223. I look so forward to your daily emails….I can not tell you how many tops I have purchased from Glamour Farms because of you! I appreciate your faith and commitment to your blog and especially to our Heavenly Father! My favorite spring trend is all the pretty pastels! I like some of the cold shoulder tops, but not the off the should tops so much! Do you have a recommendation for a blue and white striped top for spring? THANKS Cyndy and God Bless!

  224. I’m loving the cold shoulder tops. I like that you can have bare shoulders and be cooler but cover up the unattractive area! Love your blog!

  225. I love the bell sleeves and cold shoulders on blouses and I really love the patterned pants! Spring fashion is really fun this year.

  226. I would love if you can share about what you wear when you are staying at home all day. (Besides wearing PJs all day). haha.

  227. Thank you for responding to all of these questions. I love your style and I’m especially loving the bell sleeves and ruffles this season. I feel they help cover an area I’m not really fond of ! Happy weekend.

  228. I really like the cold shoulder trend but I like when the straps on the top part are skinny and not wide. You have to wear a strapless bra but I think the top looks better with skinny straps. Thanks for doing your blog! I have gotten a bunch of great clothing ideas from you!

  229. Cindy,
Thanks so much for sharing with us and taking the time to do so! I love the cold shoulder look for spring and summer. It allows for coolness, but not reveal all of your arms if you choose not too. Great option!
God bless you and Pastor Spivey as you continue to strive to serve the Lord in all you do!! Thanks also for the way that you share the Lord and His word on you blog daily.

  230. Thanks so much for sharing your tips! It’s so nice to see your casual and dressy ideas kept classy. I look forward to your posts each day. I’m not sure I have a favorite spring trend but always live seeing what you suggest;)

  231. I love the embroidery trend. I have a home embroidery machine and I’m excited to try it on some plain sweatshirts, tops and jackets.

  232. I have to agree with many others here that my favorite spring trend is the open shoulder tops. I have actually purchased a couple so far, but haven’t worn them yet. I absolutely love your style and I look forward to reading your blog posts. Thank you so much for sharing with us!

  233. Thank you for sharing all that you share. I have learned so many tips & been exposed to so many different products in your blog than I could have ever found any where else. I especially love that you share clothing items that are modest & fashionable now that I’ve hit that “over 50” mark. I wasn’t a fan of bell sleeves but you’ve converted me! It’s my favorite spring trend now. Blessings!!

  234. Thank you for all the information about your make-up and cosmetics. I, for one, am not a shopper (for anything!), and having some suggestions for creams/foundations, etc. really helps me make some choices when I need a product. I am not one for a lot of make-up, and I don’t really know how to use make-up (one would think that as I am 63, I would have learned something by now 🙂
Thanks again for everything you post.

  235. I love these Q&A posts. I to have often wondered the same questions. Your blog is one of my daily go to’s. Thanks for always keeping it real

  236. Cindy you are so beautiful and elegant. Thank you for sharing all of your favorites. I look forward to seeing your post daily. Your faith is so comforting. 241. Thank you for your wonderful beauty and fashion tips. I especially appreciate your spiritual inspiration! Loving the flowy and floral fashions for spring.

  242. Thank you for sharing all the little details. I’ve been wondering about underthings with all the new cutaway tops I’ve been seeing…

  243. Cyndi….You are great. You don’t realize how many woman you touch and the lives you are changing through this blog. You not only show woman how to look their best on the outside but most importantly the INSIDE…….with Jesus. 🙂 I love all the feminine tops, the blush color, block heel sandals etc. etc. etc. I love all you style but I’m not a fan of the cold shoulder top. But, I did order the Target blush one that only has a small slit on the side of the arm. Perfect for me. 🙂 Thanks for all you do to make it fun on your blog. I look forward to it each morning as I’m having my coffee. Sometimes I debate….Cyndi’s blog first or my devotions? Ha Ha I love the Beauty for the Heart, its like blog and devotion in one. Bless you and thank you for the Loft card giveaway. I love LOFT. PS We all enjoy hearing about your family and seeing pictures. I love how you share your life and are real.

  244. I love the bell sleeves and the ruffles everywhere. Of course, as an older woman, I need to be careful to not go overboard with these details. I’m loving all the feminine looks this spring. 247. I am loving the criss-cross tee and ruffle sleeve trend this spring. Great post and I always enjoy your blog!

  248. I am loving the florals this year. finally some floral tops that are not “grandmother-ly” although my age migh suggest that I could be a grandmother! Thanks for this round up of questions and answers. Your blog is so greats becuase you keep it real and that is most important. You share a broad range of items which is also helpful.

Would love to hear more about how God moved in your life to bring about this season. 🙂

  253. Love this post!!! I am a 50 something mama… and I feel like I am abit out of touch with style and products – lets just say that thae 80’s and 90’s show up way to often on me (lol) …and yes, I know… (i’t not pretty)…. thanks for encouraging us with fashion, health and mostly JESUS

  254. I love the question & answers post. You are so genuine and sincere and I appreciate that so much. One trend I’m liking a lot this spring is the one shoulder top. I am 49 and feel more at ease in a one shoulder than off the shoulder. Thanks so much for this opportunity.

  255. What a great post!! So glad you shared! My favorite spring fashion includes strappy sandals and all the cute lace up sandals. Love your style and your posts.

  262. I don’t really know what my favorite fashiontrend is this Spring, but I do enjoy seeing what you’re wearing. I did order the Michael Knor striped dress you posted the other day, can’t wait to get it. I’m going to the South of France this summer with my husband for work (I know, he has the best job ever and I’m a lucky girl that gets to go) this summer and I think it will be perfect.

  263. Thanks Cyndi for sharing these questions and answers. I have been reading your blog about 2 years now. It is something I enjoy and look forward to reading. I genuinely appreciate your style and the fashion info. you share. I also appreciate your heart for the Lord, and emphasizing beauty within.

Thank you again for all of your hard work !!!!
    Have a blessed weekend !!!
    Diana

  265. Thanks, Cindy for all the information. It can be so hard choosing new makeup routines if you do not know anything about the products. Keep up the wonderful work and all the photos that go along with the work.

  266. You ROCK every outfit. I’m just curious, how tall are you?
I’m petite, and some things just aren’t the right proportion to my body.
    Thanks

  267. Thank you for your blog. I appreciate your honesty, style and commitment to Jesus! Wedge sandals are the bomb,

  268. I am new to your blog and have really enjoyed it. Found you on Pinterest and have shared with lots of friends. I think you are “cute as a button”. It is especially encouraging to me that your beauty comes from the love of Christ which is “more precious than silver…more costly than gold”!!!

  269. Wonderful post! Thank you so much for sharing with your readers. I have been following you for several months and I really look forward to your posts! Have a blessed day!

  270. Thank you for all the great styling ideas for those of us over 50! My favorite trend this season are all the great sandals & mules. I’m a flip flop gal, so loving a lot of these other great options!

  271. This actually wasn’t too much to read compared to some other blogs. While you usually are very informative and share great advice, you get to the point quickly, which is what I like about you. You put so much time and effort into the products and clothes that you share with us and it’s very much appreciated! It definitely is a full time job. Thanks so much! Btw, the green halter top with the patterned pants is all me! 😍

  272. I see now that I commented without reading the prompt first! Yikes!
I am loving the cold-shoulder trend–it bares a nice part of my arms, yet covers up “that part”, which I think needs to be covered up!
    Thank you!

  273. Thank you for all that you share with us! It’s truly a blessing! My favorite spring trend is all the feminine details on tops, even on casual tops to wear with jeans.

  274. Absolutely LOVE your blog. A friend recently turned me on to it, and I really look forward to your posts. Glamour Farms has been one of my favorite sites for the past year, and I enjoy it when you offer a discount code–I ordered a couple of things yesterday with your new code. Thank you! And thank you for the Christian aspect of your blog–that is my favorite part, and I am glad you so freely mention the name of Jesus! Have a Blessed day!

  275. I enjoyed this post! Thanks as always for your advice; i am still using cerave as a face cleansing product, but may have to switch it up w juju! My favorite trend is a peplum tank…i just wore one to an event and felt so feminine!! Many blessings and thank you!!

  276. I have been following your blog for quite some time. It has been exciting watching your blog evolve into what it is now. You are a hard worker…I appreciate your response to your followers. I love your Beauty from the Heart inspirational messages. I wish you and your husband all the best in your journey to honor God in all you do.

  278. I always look forward to reading your blog every day. AA lot of times your inspiration is just what I need for the day!

  279. I really love the sandals you share-still trying to find just the right pair for the summer!

FYI- the racerback bra link goes to the strapless bra from your other link. I’d really like to see the racerback bra you where, as I am needing one and not sure where to look! Thanks!

  280. Great posting today! I love the feminine looking trends this season with the lace, ruffles , etc. As I am 70, I don’t wear much lace and ruffles, but I do love the florals and stripes! Love your blog and the inspirational things you share each day with us. God Bless you and your hubby as you wait on God to lead you!

  281. Just love your blog love the clothes. You are the image of the Lord. Very transparent and real that’s what I love about you. Thank you for serving the Lord in this way. I’m sure the Lord has great things for you and your husband. He opens door no man can shut!!!! Love the open shoulder shirts.

  282. I enjoy seeing the behind the scene info! You are an inspiration to try a bit harder on my fashion and dress up a bit more each and every day.

  283. I am a busy mom, homeschooling my four children, and I love that you do my shopping for me! I think you may have found my first cold shoulder top on Friday! Love your blog and never miss a post!
    Blessings!

  284. Thank you for sharing! I look forward to your email each day. You do an amazing job with the clothes you share and the scriptures and quotes you share.

  286. I love the bell sleeve tops and the blush color clothing. I love your blog and read it every day. Thank you for the work you put into it.

  287. Cyndi,
Thanks for all you share with us. Your style, make-up, and beauty tips, and I love reading your Beauty for the Heart writings.

  288. I love that you share how to wear the newest trends….simple things like changing up accessories has made a difference in my style!

  289. THANK YOU SO MUCHO, Cyndi for sharing so much with us! I feel like I know you, abd would enjoy a cup of tea with you while talking in that beautiful KY town of yours! I enjoy the background of the pictures you take, so I assume Lexington is beautiful.
I love all that you style, make up, hair, and all. I also believe in taking care of the whole person not just target areas. Feeding the body the proper nutrition and exercise, and most important, feeding the soul, and I think this is all reflected on our appearance!
I like Bare Minerals. Have been using them for 8yrs already. And the Loft is one of my favorite stores to shop in. I have downloaded the Nordstrom app, in hopes of buying from there some of the stuff you use!
Have a most blessed weekend, sweet lady!

  290. Thanks for your blog. I love the cold shoulder trend this spring. Being a former Kentucky woman, it’s nice to be reminded how beautiful Kentucky is through the photography in your background.

  291. I love that your blog is so positive! I’m a Loft girl and have my eye on a few things 🙂 I’d love to win the gift card!

  292. Thanks for sharing Cindy… I started following your outfits on Pinterest and that led me to your Grace and Beauty blog.. I’m so glad it did as I enjoy catching up with you and your style daily..( our styles are very similar so I look forward to what your wearing next). Your beauty truely shines inside and out!!!

  293. I’ve recently turned 60 (!) and I’m not sure what my style is anymore. I don’t want to dress like a teenager and look ridiculous, but I’m certainly not ready to go the other way and look older than I am. Your blog has been just great in showing outfits and clothes that are stylish but not crazy (if that makes sense).

  294. Thanks for inspiring me to be the best me that Jesus made. I have a hard time matching but you have helped me (well stitch fix too!),

  295. Thanks for all your great hints/links! I love looking at your shoes, and really like the ankle straps this season.

  296. Your blog is my favorite source of fashion inspiration. More importantly, the Beauty for the Heart section turns my attention back where it belongs and reminds me to not become obsessed with the superficial, but remain focused on Him. Thank you for being so bold with your faith!

  297. I have been enjoying your blog since the beginning, I have discovered many new products and also added some new favorites to my closet based on your recommendations. I’m really liking the cold shoulder trend, I have a feeling this will be my next clothing item purchase.

  298. I’m loving all the cold-shoulder styles that are out right now. I really love those espradille sandals!
I’m taking a trip to France & Italy in June and have been scouring blogs ( yours is at the top of my list) and travel sites for simple, stylish and comfortable neutrals. A wedge will be perfect for the cobbled streets in Italy. 😉 I’m pretty clumsy! Thanks for sharing your love of all things fashion & Jesus!

  299. I love your blog! All of the fun, feminine tops are my favorite this Spring. I’m loving the ruffles and bell sleeves!

  300. I love your blog and look forward to reading it everyday. I love that you include Beauty from the Heart. It’s inspirational to me. Thank you for sharing your world and faith with us.

  301. Thank you Cyndi!! You are a blessing to me. I look forward to hearing more about where our Lord is leading you and your husband!

  302. I’m loving the colors for spring! I love bright, florals, etc. so this spring is just making me smile! 🙂 Thank you for your blog. It’s nice to find a faith based blog with “classy” looks for women my age. Your blog is wonderful!

  303. Thank you so much for this informative post! I only started following fashion blogs 1.5 years ago, and one of my very favorite things about your blog, and other blogs like Jolynne’s and Onthedailyexpress, are that y’all take the time to share your “secrets” – the things we women only learn through trial and error. So many of us are on a tight budget, and it is such a gift to be able to benefit from your wisdom and experience before investing in a good strapless bra, a good beauty product, etc. It is such a great feeling to have your honest opinion, photos, etc., before biting the bullet and investing in these kinds of things. So thank you so much for taking the time to put together a post like this. I think my favorite fashion trend for spring is florals, but I also LOVE espadrilles, and am intrigued by all the variations on the classic espadrille that I am seeing this spring. Thanks again, Cyndi!

  304. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. I am loving the ruffles and bell sleeves this spring. It takes me a while to get used to any fashion trend. I truly believe reading your blog encourages me to try new trends sooner as opposed to waiting until it is too late or not at all. Thank you again. You are much appreciated!

  305. I have been a daily reader for a couple of years now. I have commented many times how I enjoy your fashion as well as your inspirational quotes, scriptures and videos. I appreciate all your time and effort you put into this blog. It is definitely obvious that you enjoy your job. Your research, trial and error and experience has helped me in making my own fashion and beauty decisions. I am looking forward to more of what you have planned. ~Lisa~

  306. Thanks for all the great info and for the chance to win the Loft card. I appreciate your blog which not only help women look and feel beautiful but shares the good news of Jesus Christ.

  307. Love the cold shoulder tops but have yet to try one. I also love the block heels. They are perfect. Thanks for always sharing your style with us and especially about your faith.

  308. Love your heart and posts. Look forward to them everyday. After recently leaving a career in ministry and losing 30 pounds (not related) I feel revived and ready for the new me. Loft has been my “go to” for my new wardrobe. Thanks for always sharing from your heart.

  309. I enjoyed this post answering reader questions. Perhaps you can make it a regular monthly feature. It was interesting to read about the time you put into your blogging. I am responsible for social media posts for my department at a university, which also takes considerable time and effort. I’ve also thought about a fashion blog for university faculty members, but don’t know if I want to devote the time and effort, even though I really like fashion.

  310. I appreciate your modest and tasteful choices of clothing. As godly woman I believe we can be fashionable, thank you for demonstrating that. It is God who we honor, in all areas of our life including our choices in fashion
    I love Loft too!

  311. I have to admit I do not like the cold shoulder trend for myself, but it really looks great on you. I’m still searching for “my style” and your blog helps considerably. Having spent the last 20 years raising my children and not having “real” job, I often feel lost and out of touch. I love that you really spell things out, right down to the undies! I also love that you care about the inside of your readers as much as the outside. Thank you

  312. I’m liking the open shoulder tops. Soo out of my comfort zone but I’m enjoying feeling pretty & wearing a current style. You are such an inspiration Cyndi. Not only because of your style expertise, but also the fact that God is such an important part in your life & you give all the glory to him.
Thank you for all that you share.

  313. Thank you for your dedication to us as readers and to your faith. It show through beautifully and is a blessing to me. I look forward to your posts daily. God has great plans for you and your Mr. Just keep seeking His guidance and it will be revealed in His timing.

  314. Thank you for answering all those questions! I have been enjoying reading your blog for the last six months! I do love your fashion tips and your down to earth personality and Christian faith! You remind me a lot of my younger sister and I adore her!

  315. Thanks for answering all of our questions and more! My favorite style this spring would have to be the neck scarf trend. I have purchased several and am enjoying wearing them. Be blessed!

  316. I’m loving the bell sleeves this spring. I just bought a cute top on vacation and (if the weather would ever turn nice here) I can’t wait to wear it!

  317. Out of all the beauty and fashion advice the best advice you give is to love Jesus. That truly makes a woman beautiful.

  318. I have been enjoying your blog, especially how you share your faith, for a couple of years. I like that you are down to earth and real, yet still keep up with the trends etc.

  319. I love the way you always look so put together. It has inspired me to think outside the box and try a few different tops and shoes that I would have passed by. I bought an beautiful easy dress that you showed for Easter and am very happy with the style and fit.

  320. Love your blog and always look forward to your daily comments which I read with breakfast.
So generous of you to offer a gift from the Loft.
I would love to win this!!

  321. I tried to enter a post but it wouldn’t let me above. So, I am commenting here. I am so inspired by your fashion. I started wearing skinny jeans. I now have 4 pair. I have fallen in love with the long tunic top, too.

    1. I had the same problem posting! Thank you Cyndi for taking so much time to share all of this with us. You answered several questions I’ve had, but never asked. You say you are blessed to have us as your readers, but let me say YOU are a beautiful blessing to us! May God continue to bless you in your business and ministry.

  322. I love the ruffles and feminine details this spring! Love your blog! Thanks for keeping me up to date in fashion.

  323. Loving the cold shoulder trend. It works well with my body type and there is a great assortment of colors and styles available!

  324. I finally bought a cold shoulder top, thanks to you, Cyndi! I love it. I also bought a ruffle sleeve tee that’s super cute. I don’t generally like ruffles, and I thought this tee would be too cutesy but it looks cute on me.I also love all the florals. I really can’t think of a trend this season that I don’t like! Thanks for all your hard work. I love your blog and have learned so much. Blessings on you and your husband!

  325. All the feminine details on the blouses and dresses. Thank you for your blog. Between you and Jolynne I feel i have my own personal shoppers.

  326. Looking forward to getting more information on the bootcamp. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I loved seeing all of the juices on Instastories.

  327. Even though the Differin Gel is named Acne Treatment, it fades age spots, correct? I’m not a youngster and am interested in this product for age spots and rejuvenation.

  328. Thank you Cyndie- I always enjoy your blog & fashion tips. I have found some great skin/makeup products from your reviews that I normally would not have tried.

  329. What a great blog! Thank you for all of your hard work. The trend I’m seeing that I love this Spring is red. Red for Spring is just a lot of fun! I’m also loving that the raw hem isn’t going anywhere.

  331. I look forward to you blog every day and have bought many items that you have featured because I love your style. Thank you for answering our questions, it was a great post.

  332. First, I love your blog and look forward to it everyday. My favorite fashion trend for spring are the tops with open shoulders. I like covering my arms but having the openness above. All the best.

  333. Some of the trends I’m not a fan of. I like them on others but prefer a tailored look for myself. I always like to see what you are styling tho.

  334. I really like the cold shoulder trend , they are cute yet cover the not so cute part of my arms ! Thank you for sharing with us !

  335. I love the block heels! Since I am older (60’s) I look more to comfort in shoes, but still want to be feminine and the block heels provide this for me

  336. Even if I don’t have time to read your blog I always read beauty for the heart, it is quite often exactly what I need that day! Love you!

  337. I am loving ruffles, and especially bell sleeves. Thanks for keeping us over-40’s current in our fashion

  338. I am loving the ruffles, bell sleeves, florals, peplum lines, eyelet…just everything that is so feminine for Spring. I hope it all carries into summer!

  343. I am loving the flowy, printed, beachy pants for this summer. So comfortable and they look nice on everyone. I love your blog!

  344. My favorite spring trend is the lace-up block heel sandals. So many cute choices. Did you notice that your “favorite undies” suggest hand washing? Yikes! But the fabric sounds great….I do prefer the hipster style over bikini, but each to her own! Thanks for your posts and I really enjoy the easy going/simple tone of your blog.

  345. I love following your blog and how relatable you are to women our age! Thank you for sharing your ideas and your faith!

  346. Thanks for taking the time to answer questions! I’ve been a long time reader of your blog, I like to shop online and seeing outfits on you as opposed to a model helps enormously! Keep up the great work!

  347. The cold shoulder trend has grown on me! I wasn’t sure about it at first, but now I am loving it! Thanks for sharing such cute ideas of how to wear it!

  348. I love blush for Spring’s color trend, cold shoulder tops (especially in black), and your tip about white nail polish.

  349. Thanks for all the helpful tips Cyndi! I sure could use that information on dark circles! They are so annoying! I look so forward to reading your post everyday and you are such an inspiration to me. You don’t know how many times your daily Beauty for the Heart has spoken to me. You are truly beautiful inside and out!

  350. I am enjoying the cold shoulder trend. Lucky for me,big ordered two tops from thread up that were cold shoulder without knowing and them being flowy tops, I will be able to wear them during my pregnancy! Love your style and read your blog everyday!
