I just had your daughters Chicken Caper recipe for dinner tonight. Its sooooo good. It definitely will be one of my stand by ones for years to come. 🙂 Love the striped clutch and the tassle straw tote. I love all the straw totes out this year. Your sister posted one today from TJMAX with pom poms. I do like the pom pom’s on the totes, but not a fan on other accessories.

So glad Courtney had a great birthday, I love all the colorful accessories, I have been getting the Sugar fix earrings and necklaces by Baublebar from Target every since you told us they carry them , l love the choices .
I love the pom poms but I like the tassels even more. A student gave me the cutest skinny silver band bracelet (Stella and Dot)and it tightens by pulling the cute little braided yarn with tassels.
Had a great laugh at the comments of Mimi on Drew Carey! I too love to be trendy but this is not my style. The eyes would roll on the young teachers I work with. Great on younger gals! Thanks for posting ideas though for all ages! Love your blog!

Love the idea about accessorizing for the summer. I’m going on vacation to Playa del Carmen next month and these ideas are right on. I just can’t get into the pom pom trend. I think it’s for the younger generation. If I showed up at work with those on, oh my, the eye rolls and funny looks I would get! Reminds me of Drew Carey show secretary, Mimi!! 😆

Here is a recipe. The only difference is I wrap the prosciutto around about 4 spears instead of just one. Delicious!!

I’m definitely into accessories–sometimes I build my outfit around what accessories I can wear that day! But…….I’m not a fan of pom poms!! I’ve tried to like them, but it’s just not working. I really like the striped clutch above, though, and would definitely use that!
I’m usually one for minimal clothing items, so accessories are the perfect way to add a pop to the outfit! Especially colourful ones like you suggested!

I think this trend is really cute! I do like the tassels more than the pom poms (they remind me too much of crafting little animals out of them for VBS). For me, this is a trend I will try when I find it on sale…At full price I think it’s a little to faddish and won’t be around for long. Thanks for keeping us ladies of a certain age up to date! I love color and unique jewelry and accessories. I am definitely an accessory girl! But I just cannot get into those pom poms! They are everywhere though. I was in Tennessee this weekend at a women’s conference and we girls did a little shopping and those pom poms are everywhere and on everything! Certainly takes me back to my elementary days!
