Blank Eyelet Tank + Denim Shorts

Hello from Mt. Rushmore! We had an amazing day and the weather was perfect. We also headed over to Crazy Horse Memorial and that was so interesting! We’re now on our way to Yellowstone National Park.

I kept my outfit simple and wore a black eyelet tank from Gap and denim shorts from Loft. By the time we left Crazy Horse the weather turned a little cool and I was glad I had my denim jacket.

The views here are breathtaking and I’m so glad I got to see this in person.

Someone else was taking some pictures behind me! Haha!

This eyelet tank from Gap was perfect for a day of sightseeing. The material is soft and thick enough to wear without a tank. (Gap is having a huge sale!)

Black Eyelet Top (I’m wearing an XS)//Denim Shorts (I’m wearing a size 26)//Leopard Sandals//Crossbody bag//Earrings (Stella & Dot, no longer available)//Watch//Bracelet

Be sure to visit Jo-Lynne and see the summer outfit she’s styling today!

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m on FacebookPinterest and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~Driving across the states you see the beauty of all God has created. I am in awe of His handiwork!

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known.
They speak without a sound or word;
their voice is never heard.
Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,
and their words to all the world.
Psalm 19:1-4

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi Cyndi! I follow your blog but usually don’t reply. I am catching up since I was out of town last week as well. When I saw this post I flipped out. I was at Mt. Rushmore on Tuesday, June 13th as well. We arrived about 11:00 that day, spent a couple of hours and then headed over to Crazy Horse. I am from Utah and we traveled up there with two of our children. Too bad I didn’t see you there. That would have been so interesting. We had thought about going over to Yellowstone but didn’t have time as we headed back to Utah through Martin’s Cove and learned a bit about the Oregon and Mormon trail. Didn’t you just love Mt. Rushmore! I loved South Dakota. i thought it was so beautiful!

  2. You are in my home state of South Dakota, and in one of our favorite places on earth!! There is SO much to see and do in the Black Hills – wish we were the too, could have shown you so many incredible spots (many non-tourist spots too). We still go out there at least twice a year – that’s how much we love it!! It HAS been a weird weather year all the way around – usually it is VERY hot out there this time of year, but because you are in the mountains, it cools off so nicely at night. Enjoy the rest of your vacation and soak up all of God’s beautiful creation in nature!!

  3. Welcome to my stomping grounds! It snowed last night in Yellowstone, so I hope you have some warm clothes. Enjoy the beauty and splendor of our Nations First National Park. And don’t worry about your outfit – the beauty of the park will overshadow even your impeccable taste! LOL

  4. Am loving your summer time outfits!! You look great:)
We took our kiddos on a 6 week trip out west 12 years ago! Favorite trip Ever!! one of our sons and daughter in law are actually in Yellowstone for the next few days on their honeymoon. It was snowing this morning😂!They will head to Glacier National Park later in the week where it is a balmy 65😄 Glacier was probably my favorite NP. Or Yosemite. Or Yellowstone. OrZion or …😄 Enjoy God’s beautiful handiwork!

  5. Cute outfit, Cyndi! My husband and I and our younger daughter did that trip after our older daughter got married but we did it in the reverse – Yellowstone first and then to the Badlands. We enjoyed it too!

  6. Also the cross body is so cute too… I invested in a Michael Kors crossbody that same color when we visited the outlets in Florida this spring. I’ve already used it a lot and with that colour you can use it year round. A great investment, especially for $68.00 woo how!!! I love a great deal.

  7. Cute outfit Cindy thanks for sharing again… enjoy your days ahead. The sandals really tie the outfit together nicely…. great chice😀
    Happy travels

  8. You will love Yellowstone! My husband & I went last summer & loved the waterfalls & the wild buffalo roaming about.
You look beautiful as usual & your outfit looks comfortable & cute.

  10. In 2015, on a move from VT to OR, my daughter and I visited all the national parks plus some in the northwest. Gods grandeur never ceases to amaze and delight me. We, too, were surprised with the temperature fluctuation! Glad we were prepared for everything. Our car was packed solid, bit at thirst we had what we needed! LOL

  11. Hi Cyndi,
Praying for this to be a special time for you and your hubby! In times of transition, it is always nice to get away and spend some special time together and with God. Have fun!!

  12. You always look so put together! Thanks for sharing your experience with us… my only question is not about what you’re wearing, but how are you doing the curl/wave/body in your hair? I love it, but am curling iron challenged. haha

  13. What a fantastic vacation – and I’ve heard what you are seeing is beautiful. I would love to do what you’re doing – but, I’ll be honest here and say that my husband’s driving makes me a nervous wreck – he’s a bit aggressive. We drove to Maine, from TN, two summers ago and well, let’s just say I couldn’t wait to get out of the car!
Your outfit is super cute and comfy – perfect for riding and sight seeing. Have fun! I think I remember you saying there was a reason for this trip…I’m guessing you will share that at some point :).

  14. What a great trip. Looks fun. I just bought those shorts a few weeks ago but not hot enough around here yet to wear them. Yours look shorter and not showing the raw hem line. You must have rolled them one more tim?. I think the length is great, as I’m not a shorts wearer. Enjoy Yellowstone. I still have yet to get there. We plan to get a trailer and travel there someday from Oregon. 🙂

  15. Cute outfit!

We did a driving trip from Florida a few years back….all the way to Seattle! If you have time, Glacier National Park & Grand Teton’s is a must. Wasn’t on our intended route, but a friend talked us into it. The highlight of our trip! Loved Yellowstone, and it’s beautiful….Glacier is much more!!

    Safe travels!

    1. Yes, my daughter and son-in-law camped in Glacier National Park…..loved it. Although, it was Winter camping. 🙂 LOL

  16. We went to Yellowstone last summer, it is an AMAZING place…..take a sweater or jacket though, can get very cool in that higher elevation…..You will be awed by the natural beauty there, the lakes, rugged mountains, meadows, volcanic mud pots….it’s just an incredible array of God’s design, truly magnificent.

  17. What a beautiful vacation you are having! Yellowstone is on our bucket list…especially while we are living on this side of the country. I imagine with all the things you are seeing it is even easier to appreciate God’s creation. Save travels! XO
Oh yeah, and the outfit is cute too😉
