What Is His Plan For Us?

What Is His Plan For Us?

Do you ever wonder what God wants us to be doing? What is His plan for you, what is His plan for me?

We could talk about that question all day but I think scripture gives us some answers.

Jesus clearly commands that the goal of our lives should be to behave so that God gets the glory. We should live so that others will see our life and give our Father in heaven glory.

Matthew 5:14-16 says, Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

John 3:30 says, He must become greater; I must become less.

How do we live so that God gets the glory? How does this look in our everyday life?

    • It’s giving God glory on the good days and on the bad days.
    • It’s giving God glory in your marriage.
    • It’s giving God glory in your joys.
    • It’s giving God glory in your sorrows.
    • It’s giving God glory in the mundane and in the extraordinary.

Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. Psalm 115:1

God gets glory NOT when we strive to be perfect but when we rely upon His strength and trust in Him each and everyday.

Let’s glorify Him today!

This is such a beautiful song…..

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. We just hit the 1 year mark that my hubby left the Pastoral ministry. We know that it was God’s will and the future is coming together. It can still be a bit daunting at times but this year has been another watershed time for us to trust and rest.
Can’t wait to see how God’s plan for you unfolds. Blessings!

  2. Thanks Cyndi for the great message. Just what I needed today. I think we all strive to do the BIG things for Him when all He wants is US bringing HIM glory in our lives in even the small things. Safe travels home.

  3. Love that song ! Cast crowns always touches my heart. You are right on time with this message. I have so many things in my head not sure what God wants me to do next.

  7. Love this post Cyndi! I agree. Not everyone is called to big vocational ministries. But EVERYONE is called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, whether that’s on the front lines or in the trenches of everyday life. “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.” 😉

  8. Praying Travel Mercies for you guys!
Don’t know how anyone could look at God’s vast, varied, and beautiful creation and doubt his existence!
