Happy Friday! Today I’m styling a little black dress, two ways. If you have followed my blog very long, you know I’m a huge fan of nude shoes.
I wear nude wedges, nude heels, and nude flats. The main reason is because they elongate the legs. While I like both styles I’m sharing today, I’m partial to the nude heels.
The first way I styled the little black dress has more of a “fall” feel to me. I added olive sandals and a leopard print clutch. When the weather is warm in September this would be a great way to style a black dress.

The second way I styled the dress is with nude heels and a stripe clutch.
I have styled these nude heels all spring and summer and they are still my favorite heels. They’re from Target and have held up really well.

One little black dress styled two ways. Which style is your favorite?
Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m on Facebook, Pinterest and my favorite one, Instagram.

I really wanted that dress but I’m 5’9″ and the tolls were sold out ! 😔
Janet,
Check again. I just bought this dress online today and some tall sizes are available!!!
Love both looks but I think the 1st one with the nude heel and striped clutch I like the best. I love that clutch and keep debating on getting it. I wish it would go on sale. 🙂 Love the dress. I love Loft. I’m with the others. I don’t like Loft clothes on their models near as well as when I see them on you. I think Loft has the best clearance. I get the best things from their clearance section and anywhere from 40-60% off. 🙂 Its always been my go to store for sure.
Love the nude heels! So…I’m a teacher and summer is winding down!:( I am an emotional eater…I’ve been changing my eating habits this summer-I’m afraid instead of eating, I’m using retail therapy! I blame you for all the cute ideas!:) Anyway, I’m a little stressed-I’ve been praying, but would ask for more prayers…my mil just diagnosed with breast cancer (she’s my boys’ only grandparent left-and they love her so) and my oldest has been gone all summer after graduating college-he has a beautiful servant’s heart but is in a dangerous country for 2 more weeks spreading the Word…please pray for him and me and all our family. He starts PT school in the fall, my middle son will be a senior(also hard on this mama) and my youngest son in 7th. As for the weekend I’ll be packing for one last hurrah vacay as my husband and I try to steal away for a few days-we have both our birthdays and anniversary within a week-so instead of buying each other gifts we take a trip…blessings to all!
Both looks are adorable!!!
I love the dress with the nude heel!
You are right Cyndi, the nude heels make you
much taller, great outfit!
My plans for the weekend, cleaning this house!
I’ve been way too busy lately and it never fails,
the house shows it!!!!!!
You can never go wrong with a LBD. Thanks for sharing and Did you post a blog yesterday?
I’m with you Cyndi, prefer the nude heel and striped clutch. You always look fabulous!
love both looks
Cyndi, I like the first look better but I’m partial to fall.
Cyndi, I used to be able to access product info from you site, but now most just direct me to “rstyle.me”, which my computer won’t let me open. Would love more info on the black dress.
Wow, this is a GREAT look! Such a pretty dress, I love both purses both pairs of nude heels, I love your hair this way with these dresses, I think I covered it all! I have got to get some nude heels, I don’t know that I can say I have a favorite! Have a great weekend!😊
What a cute dress. I love it styled both ways but I love the look of nude shoes and having legs that look longer
Same reason as Debbie’s…love that whole look
I love black dresses this one is very cute and looks comfortable. Love the shoes and purses. Thank you.
Just returned from looking at the dress in the store … its 50% off people!! Needless to say – it came home with me!
I’m with you. I love the nude heels. I have the identical pair! Happy Friday!
Love both looks cyndi, but I’d have to say the first is my first choice… I’m all in for nude shoes. I hardly ever wear black shoes or boots but did buy one pair of block heels in black this year for a certain dress that did need the black…. and you never go wrong with a black dress, even a nude wedge would be my first choice for me love wedges😉
Are the heels from Target comfortable for long periods of wear?
I think they are comfortable.
Cyndi
DID I miss an email yesterday ??
Im 67 and love your blog but this dress is not for my age group
The ruffle is a little too young
Everything looks better on you!
I can’t tell you how many items I’ve purchased that I never would have considered buying looking at model. Particularly at the LOFT , which has become a favorite.
I bought similar nude shoes from Target in the spring, with a lower stacked heel, they are comfortable and look great with a lot of things! Do you have a link to the first pair of earrings you are wearing, they look like a leaf shaped earring? Thank you!
This outfit is so pretty Cyndi! I love the nude shoes and striped clutch. I keep waiting for you to style that beautiful red dress you tried on during the Nordstrom sale. I hope you got that one! It looked GREAT on you! 😊
Beautiful Cyndi !!!! My favorite is the 2nd photo with the leopard clutch. Leopard is a classic for me.
Amen !!! to the Beauty For the Heart ~Lisa~
Both look great on you! I have never worn any shoe but black with a black dress. I’ll have to get out of my comfort zone next time. My Nordstrom Sale purchases have been rolling in and so far it ALL fits. I purchased a pair of Wit and Wisdom jeans that are the best fitting jeans I have ever owned. We are heading to Denver and Vail for ten days. It will be nice to escape the humidity in PA. I’m really looking forward to using my Tory Burch handbag. It should be the perfect airplane bag.
I too am partial to nude shoes. My husband teases me because I have several different pairs. But they are my go-to color for most all outfits. I love the chunk heal. I have a similar pair but a tad shorter heal height. I’ve learned a lot from you since I have been reading your blogs. Thanks for the inspiration!
Have a great weekend!

Good morning Cyndi! It has been fun following you for the last 3 months. Love your style! I hate to shop so your links have been very helpful to me when ordering online, but…. out of curiosity, how tall are you? Would you be willing to put the size that you order for all the clothing? It is often difficult to judge the correct size even with the “size charts” that most clothing websites have. I am 5’6″ and 122 lbs with VERY long legs, so mail order clothing is often too big on the tops and too short on the pants.
Thanks!
You look great Cyndi! What a beautiful black number and lovely heels to go with it. Both outfits look amazing! I love leopard print so l’ d go with the second outfit. Stay blessed👠
You look beautiful!!!
Xoxo
The Block heels……are my favorite choice and so nice looking and affordable……a win-win! I can’t wear heels but I can imagine and wish! 😉
I like the olive shoes and leopard clutch! Adds a fun touch of flair to the dress.
I think the advantage of a black dress is the variety of shoes you can pair with it to change it up!!
I have to admit, that my favorite shoes lately are blush one—they kinda look nude, but seem very modern!!
Enjoy your weekend, Cyndi!!
XOXO
