How Do We Find Peace?

I was thinking this week how our world is in desperate need of peace. The peace that only Christ can give. He not only can give us peace, he wants to give it to us.

How Do We Find Peace?

I love John 14:27 because it reminds that Christ gives us peace and we are not to be troubled or afraid. How can we find peace in our lives today? How can we live without fear?

I used the word PEACE to help us see how we can find it.

PrayThis is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. John 15:4

Earnestly Seek Him–But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:29

Acknowledge Your Need–In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Cast your burdens on the Lord-Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you. Psalm 55:22

Expect to feel His love–But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Pray for peace today in the world, in your community, and in your home.

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. This is so timely as our pastor yesterday spoke of peace in Christ. He spoke of how we first worry about a situation, then work harder rather than turning to God right in the beginning. Thanks for this, I needed to hear it again today.

  2. Love this Cyndi! One thing this Baptist woman likes that the Catholics do in Mass, is wish those seated around you Peace. From that, I have found various scriptures that talk about the Peace, that only He can give.

    1. That is so sweet to say! I am Roman Catholic and yes that is a part of our mass to say peace be with you and shake hands. It brings us all together as one. I hope that you have a nice day! And peace be with you. 😊

  3. Wonderful message on peace! I love how you used the acronym for peace and the Scripture is perfect. I’m going to write this in my Bible!
    Be Blessed! 🙏💕

  4. Great acronym, except the last “e”. We don’t want to “except” his love, we want to “Accept” his love.
