How I Style Basic Pieces to Create an Outfit

One of the things I like to have in my wardrobe are quality basic pieces that I can easily put together. Basic pieces are the clothes I’m willing to spend more money on because I want them to last.

Basic pieces don’t go out of style and they are used to over and over to create different outfits. Ann Taylor is a great place to purchase quality basic pieces.

While my top and pants are no longer available, I’m sharing some similar ones below.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m on FacebookPinterest and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. Hebrews 12:1

Isn’t it great to know we have a cloud of witnesses, cheering us on? I imagine them saying, “Keep going! Finish the race! You can do it!”

Most importantly, Jesus is cheering you on and He is for you.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Cyndi,
Love your style! Can you tell your height? I’m 5’4 and have trouble finding the best fit. I love Ann Taylor, but just not sure on which fit would be my fit.
    Thank you,
    Kim

  2. Looks perfect. You don’t know how many times I’ve gone to order that clutch. Love it. It’s tempting me again. I just have hard time fitting what I need in a clutch. Like sunglasses in a case is usually the problem. I have all the rest and good reminder…..I don’t think of putting cream with black. Now I do. 🙂 Thanks.

  3. Thank you for the practical styling tips and encouraging beauty for the heart. Great and helpful article.

    Blessings,

    Beth

  4. Beautiful outfit Cyndi. I noticed today that you have such good posture. I have been working on mine after retiring from a 38 yr desk job. You don’t realize how much your posture can change. Do you have any tips or exercises for maintaining good posture? Thank you kindly.

  5. Thanks for sharing how you mix pieces you already had. It’s so hard not to always want something new. I’ve got to work on sharing the love with my older pieces in my closet.

  6. Nice classy look Cyndi… You look great. Is the weather cool there already to wear long pants and long sleeve top? I also would like to know about your sun glasses? just bought a pair myself in that same style but are black with the silver. Have a wonderful day

  7. Perfect post for a Monday morning, as I was just saying “I don’t know what to wear to work today” lol
I have a cream top and black crop pants, so thank you for reminding me to look for basic pieces.
I also loved your Beauty for the Heart today… and will remind myself that Jesus is cheering us on!

  8. I do tend to forget about the basics and reach for the more fun pieces lately!! But this is a great reminder that they are called basics for a reason—they always work!!
    Thanks and happy Monday, Cyndi!
