IMO Olive is always in style! I have a pr which are similar to Cyndi’s pants, from 2012. In style then and still. Olive seems have had a nice long run! Vests and jackets too.
(IMO again) On trend, not too trendy.

Colt Allen is so cute! The start of a new school year has always been emotional for me with my kids and now my grand kids.
Looks like I’m alone on this one, but I would prefer a darker shade of olive on the pants. Is there anything out there? So much is faded or distressed.

I love my olive chinos and wear them often. I have never paired them with my chambray shirt so
I will be trying that once the weather cools enough.
It’s always a sad day when they start kindergarten. Your little one is growing up and off in the big world. He seems a confident, happy little fellow so he’ll do just fine.
Every fall when my boys were little I would get emotional, still do. Oldest has a phD, youngest a Master’s degree. There were a lots of falls😔 of course I would smile and encourage a good day/year. Colt looks ready and excited. A really handsome boy. His grandma looks lovely in the chambray shirt and green pants. I like the ruffle🤗. Have a blessed day.

I really like your pants and will definitely be investing in a pair this color. I actually tried on this chambray top last week while in Loft and I felt like I couldn’t move in it…….something about the sleeves? Maybe I needed to size up from a small to a medium. Not sure! I’m crazy about chambray tops and i love the cold shoulder look. I’ve invested in so many cold shoulder and off the shoulder tops that I’m going to be sad when they are now longer in.

Cyndi, BTW, I was wondering if it would be possible to add the price of your featured items on the slide bar at the bottom of your posts. It would be so helpful to know the price of an item just by moving the cursor over an item instead of going directly to the website each time. Just a suggestion.
I love wearing chambray shirts in the fall and winter. The close weave of the fabric is a little hot for me if the outdoor temperature is very high, though. (I am a woman-of-a-certain-age, and I am a furnace sometimes!) : )
Did the shirt seem warm? Maybe I could try such on cooler days in the fall.

What a special day for sure… He looks so ready. Hard to believe your a grandma lol . I love the outfit but do agree the top looks a bit on the baggy side and perhaps another style may be better suited. This is certainly my color combo favorite for the fall. I have the pants and have been eyeing a few chambray shirts but I just need to pick one up. I can also see switching out the wedges with my leopard print flats. .. or adding a white t and denim jacket instead of the chambray top. I have a t shirt I just bought from Gap Factory and its hard to describe the color .. I want to say its a burgundy with a plum twist ( lace sleeves)… very similar to your active wear pants you styled a short time ago. I tried it under the olive green jacket I bought and thought it looked like a nice combo. Just wondering what you think? Have a wonderful day.

To answer your question– YES– you talked me into olive pants. I bought 2 pair, different lengths. Olive seems almost to be treated as a neutral these days!
If I’m being honest, I don’t think the chambray shirt is very flattering. Comfortable for sure but pretty baggy. Looking forward to the new Fall outfits. Thanks for all your hard work putting the “looks” together 🙂

I love how chambray comes in every variety now!! I have at least 3 “normal” shirts in different washes, and I just wore my polka dot OTS one on the blog today!!! They are so modern!!
