Plaid Blouse + Booties for Fall

Welcome back to my 26 days of fall fashion! Today I’m styling a plaid blouse with booties but the best part is I’m drinking my first pumpkin spice latte of the season. Yes!

I’m ready for pumpkins, mums, and fall festivals. This is such a beautiful time of year and as long as I don’t think about the cold weather that’s coming, I can enjoy it.

Plaid Blouse + Booties for Fall
My jeans are Wit and Wisdom and are not available anymore. I have had them for a while and they are one of my favorite pairs of jeans. They do have some options and you can find them here and here.

Plaid Blouse + Booties for FallThese booties are so comfortable and if you don’t like a high heel this is a good height.

Plaid Blouse + Booties for FallI love the smocked neck and sleeves on this plaid blouse. The blouse is 30% off right now at LOFT.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m on FacebookPinterest and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~I wonder how many burdens is Jesus carrying for us that we know nothing about? Has he lifted fears before we felt them? Has he carried our confusions so we wouldn’t have to? Those times when we have been surprised by our own peace? Could it be that Jesus has lifted our anxiety onto his shoulders and placed a yoke of kindness on ours? -Max Lucado

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi there! I follow you on Pinterest and enjoying seeing all the great outfits you inspire!!

Love these booties (they are currently backorder, but I am undeterred! lol) I’m curious if you found them to be narrow/wide? I have wider feet and am a size 7.5 but sometimes have to size up to an 8 if shoes are more on the narrow side. Any insight you have is much appreciated!

Thanks much and blessings to you, Cindy!

  2. I loved this blouse so much I went to loft to try on. I wanted to love it but not comfy. And hard to get on & button at neck in back. I had to pass. 🙁

  3. I love this look!! Such a cute way to make a plaid top a bit more dressy!! I would love to hear some advice on oils for women our age. And also for teen girls! Thanks!

  4. Went to BSF this morning too! My first as a Group Leader.
Your outfit is cute as always. I just might have to get those booties. Perfect height.
I got the peep toe vince camuto booties you styled I think during the Anniversary Sale. They are super cute but it has been a LONG time since I’ve worn heels that high. Funny, they didn’t look that high on you! I need to re-learn how to walk in them, LOL!

  5. I went to BSF this morning also! I love your style. thank you for inspiring me to be my best- inside and out! Beauty for the Heart is my favorite.

  6. I love what God does through BSF. I studied Romans my first year and God transformed my walk through the study. I’ve been a group leader for years but today, at my first satellite class, I had my first day as an administrative leader and was also my first day with a pumpkin spice latte! A day for firsts and a beautiful day it was!

  7. Love this whole outfit!!!! Can you tell me how long it is??? I’d love to see the shirt untucked!!! Boots are totally adorable!!!!

  8. I love the plaid blouse !!!! Its so old fashioned, & charming !!! Would love to see it un-tucked ! Or wear a belt over it ! I bet it would be very cute with a navy swing style jumper over it ,with leggings & boots !!! I really loved these plaid blouses in the early ’80’s !!!Big puffed sleeves,& ruffles !!! Very lady like !! Just like our Great-Great grandmothers. You look so pretty Cyndi, in everything you wear ! Bless you sweetie ! Sincerely, Lori Dee

  9. Such a cute outfit! I love your hair pulled up.

We have enjoyed several days of Fall like weather……..I think we are headed back to the high 80’s and 90 degree days in the coming week. Ugh!

    Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  10. Plaid is one of my favorite looks! I hope you enjoy Romans this year. It was my first study when I started BSF and it changed my mind and heart on Bible Study. Looking forward to our first class day tomorrow!

  11. Love the plaid…so pretty. I’ve been following your blog for over a year now and you’ve had a definite influence on my style choices. I’m trying to learn how to be classic and stylish and I feel that you do this very well! Anyway, I notice that you didn’t choose a necklace with this blouse. Is it because of the smocked neck or because it would be too busy with the pattern?? Also, you aren’t wearing a belt. I always think I have to have a belt if I tuck my shirt. Is it okay not to?

    1. Thanks lady!! I chose big earrings instead because of the neckline and busy pattern. I never wear a belt, but I think it’s a personal choice. A cute belt would also work!

  12. I love all things smocked!!! Just tried on a cute smocked blouse at Nordstrom yesterday. I’m a core leader in our CBS here and we just started last week. This year we are studying Matthew. I’m excited for all I’ll learn. We did the Red Sea to the Jordan River last year and it was a great study, but man-o-man am I going to be happy to be out of the dessert and not hearing all the whining this year…LOL Enjoy your study and fellowship!

    1. Those stiff necked people. I’m thinking I could become a complainer really quickly. My husband tells me my temperature tolerance is only 1degree up or down. Ha😓

  13. Plaid is a definite for Fall attire…….great look. I was in BSF many years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I miss that time and learned so much. Enjoy your day. ~Lisa~

  14. I’m from Rapid City South Dakota. And it just blesses my heart to hear you go to BSF. Can’t wait to see what God teaches you this year!

  15. Have a blessed year studying Romans in BSF this year Cyndi! I was in BSF for many, many years and it’s just the best! I’m excited for everything Fall too! Be blessed!

  16. I love this. Just bought a plaid shirt and since Mtn View, AR is having Fall, i will be wearing it now. Love, love, love Fall. Have a Blessed day.

  17. I was wondering what type of socks you wear with those boots, if any. It’s cooler here in the Pacific Northwest and I rarely wear shoes without socks.

  18. Have a wonderful BSF year! I’m a BSF graduate who is now involved in CBS (Community Bible Study). I try to dress cute for Bible study too – how funny is that? I really enjoy your encouraging posts :o)

  19. What a cute style for a plaid shirt… very feminine. I don’t think I own one plaid blouse, that’s usually my daughters department but this is a winner. Still having 80-85 degree weather so unless I’m out in the evenings this is still too hot. Our falls can be cool or hot and we seem to be staying on the warmer side. I now know why my fall wardrobe is small. We seem to go right from summer to winter:(( and winter can be too long😕 lol) I will definitely be looking forward to your winter series😀. Still liking that Kate Spade purse. Love the color, one of my favourites.
    Have a great day.

  20. reckd through the blog as well as description on their website and still wondering about the smocking on the cuffs. is it elasticized for give or just the smocking itself that creates ease in putting the blouse on and off ??

  21. Love this look! I bought those jeans after you styled them and I really like the way the detail at the ankle looks with booties. Your plaid shirt is so cute, and you look so pretty!
    Have a wonderful day!
