Today I’m sharing a casual fall day outfit, perfect for running errands. Last week I shared that checked coats were in style, so when I saw this checked bomber jacket, I decided to grab it.
When I’m running errands it’s nice to have a cute pair of flats to wear. These slip on sneakers from Nordstrom are comfortable but they do run small so order a half size up.
This fall, I’ve styled my burgundy Kate Spade handbag several times but if you don’t want to spend that much on a handbag this burgundy metal handle handbag is a great option.
I purchased my sunglasses at Marshall’s earlier this year and I don’t know the brand name. I found some similar options here, here, and here.
Bomber Jacket (I’m wearing a small)//Black Tee (I’m wearing an XS)//AG Jeans (I’m wearing a size 28)//Slip On Sneaker (Runs small, I ordered 1/2 size up)//Necklace//Handbag
Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.
Beauty For the Heart~~There should be a parallel between our supplications and our thanksgivings. We ought not to leap in prayer, and limp in praise. -Charles Spurgeon
With all my heart I will praise you, O Lord my God. I will give glory to your name forever. Psalm 86:12
Have a blessed day!

That’s a great outfit, Cyndi. Casual and comfy. Perfect for the fall.
I love everything about this outfit! Just ordered the jacket.😊
Yay!! You will love it:)
Cyndi,
I absolutely adore your blog, and have always admired your spiritual wisdom and grace.
Your post appeared in my email as I was passing time at my “spa” waiting for my Botox injections. LOL I had just finished my microdermabrasion and dermaplaning treatment. Timing is everything, am I right?
When I was a little girl, make up and nail polish were controversial in my church. Finally, people began to understand that adorning ourselves can take on many forms. Some healthy…some not. We just have to know our own hearts. I certainly do not love Jesus any less now that I’ve started treating my skin.
I hope your experience with skin treatments is as positive as mine has been. You are a beautiful lady, and enhancing your skin to feel better is perfectly fine.
Can’t wait to hear your reviews!
Thank you for sharing Jane and for your kind words!!
Hey Cyndi…just wondered where you purchased your Bomber Jacket. I just didn’t see in your blog or I’m not focusing very well today!! Love your Blog!! Thank you!!!❤

So cute to run after kids or errands around town. I use to love my Keds white slip on tennis shoes, khakis and white shirt to do that. Love this new look!

Diana
Thanks Diana!! Yes!!
Well, that outfit is just as cute as can be! I have a couple of bomber jackets and they are just right for this time of year. Rockin it as usual, Cyndi!
Thanks lady!!
Sometimes its not what you are doing, but why you are doing it. Only you know the true reason’s behind the need to change your natural aging process, by various procedures.
I live in a very conservative area of the USA and see the Amish and Mennonite woman wear their home made dresses, not use make-up and allow the wrinkles of wisdom, love, hurts, loss, and time to take over their face and hands. They are beautiful woman, they smile, laugh (more wrinkles) and love, and share the word of God. I do not care if they are smooth faced or show the process of time . . . they humbly convey the word of the Bible and that is what is important to me.
But only you know what you need to do and the true why’s of it. May God direct you and your doctors hands.
I read your blog yesterday, but I read it early so I didn’t see all of the comments. I love that you share so much with your readers. As you said, you could have a procedure and never tell anyone. You handle the comments with grace and beauty.
You look beautiful as always today, and I love this outfit!!
Thank you Julie!!
You look stunning, stylish and in shape. I am 45 and i have to say you are very inspiring to me. Thank you for your blog. I love it!
Thank you Barbara!!
Amen sister… love that look… I just bought a very similar sneaker shoe… in black. I have a Steve Madden deep taupe pair with a gold toe that I love!!! Looked at the ones you have on but went with a pair that were just a bit more comfortable…
have a great day… how’s your puppy doing?
Thanks Karen!! She’s doing great!!
Amen! Beautiful BfH! Outfit is amazing: confy and stylish! Love those sneakers. As a busy mom, I often rely on those types! Ha!
What a grateful answer you gave to the whole controversy of aging treatments. You are so right; one can do things, and still follow Jesus. As I mentioned yesterday, to me it is kind of scary probably because I don’t know much, but I don’t know. However, I still highlight to you, that you are just so beautiful, and oh, my gosh, you are aging gracefully and beautifully… 🤗 (Hoping that happens to me! Ha!).
Thanks sweet friend! Such kind words!!
to cute and I love your hair how did you get the height in the back/top
Thanks Stella!! I used bobby pins to pin it back:)
Super cute outfit Cyndi! I love the look of the burgundy purse with it.
Thanks lady!!
P.s. You are beautiful in and out!
Thank you sweet friend!!
It’s so personal having treatments or not and nothing to do with spirituality! Joyce Meyer shared she had facelift because she’s in public eye and needs to look attractive. I don’t love how frozen many people look after Botox or some of the fails at plastic surgery but would never say never! I would love to find inexpensive products that help.
I haven’t been into bomber jackets but that plaid one is so cute. Love your outfit today!
Thanks doll!!
I, too, thought your response was very gracious and kind! We all should do what feels right and is comfortable for us individually….and also to have the confidence to do so as you do… As I have aged, I have certainly learned to “never say never” for sure!!! Aging gracefully and looking our best for our age is something you personify and help us all to do as we age….I appreciate very much your transparency as we learn so much from your experiences, opinions and recommendations which are always very thoughtful, honest and heartfelt…I look forward to hearing about all of your experiences, and we are fortunate that you share them with us! We all learn from that!….As a longtime reader of your blog, I have watched you evolve and grow always to be the best you can be….and with much grace kindness! Please continue to let your light shine!
Thank you for following along Leigh and for your sweetness!!
When it comes to beauty treatments I remember the story of Esther. She spent months receiving beauty treatments before she was chosen by the king. Her beauty allowed her to influence the king and save her people. We can only live our own life. Thank you for your transparency!
Excellent point JoAnn especially since I have been reading Esther and had not thought of that
Thanks so much JoAnn!!
I thank you for your honesty and sharing with us any procedures you do. I also want to look my best as I age. I had not heard of dermaplanning or cool sculpting until you mentioned them. I am interested in trying a chemical peel or microdermabrasion and wonder if you have tried these procedures. I think it is important to find a good medspa and to have a consultation but would love your opinion.
What a great put together, but very comfortable casual outfit Cyndi! When I was in Target yesterday, I saw that jacket, but I was in a hurry and my brain couldn’t see the versatility with the plaid, so I kept walking. Have a blessed day!
Thanks lady!!
Please share your botox/filler experience with us! I would love to have something done and there are several places near me that offer free consultations. I’m giving it some serious consideration.
I loved your email this morning, so perfectly stated. I wholeheartedly think we can age gracefully with a little “help”. I don’t think any of us here are trying to look like we’re 20, just the best we can for our age at the the price we can afford. I’m 46 and just started getting extra help earlier this year with Botox, a series of laser treatments and chemical peels. My skin is fantastic now, I have so much more confidence, and I’ve been told so many times the past few months how great I look for my age and people just can’t believe I’m old enough to have a son getting married soon. But for anyone not looking to turn to treatments, just using good, quality skin care (and sunscreen!) every day starting as early as possible is a must to keep us looking our best. Feeling our best helps us give our best to others and that’s a win-win no matter what.
Thanks for sharing Stephanie!! I agree:)
I think I like that bomber jacket better than any I’ve ever seen. I like to be comfortable when running errands and still look cute too. Actually I pretty much like to be both of those all the time…lol. Happy Tuesday Cyndi!
I agree! Thanks Lisa!!
So cute! I styled a similar bomber jacket on my blog but it was dark denim fabric. As an apple-shaped woman I was looking for the same style but didn’t want the fabric to poof out at all. I have to say I love your bag, especially the handles! Perfect for this time of year.

Hey Cyndi- love the outfit! Question -are the sneakers flexible and not stiff? I have feet issues and need a flexible sole.
Thanks!
Blessings!
Pam
Thanks Pam! They seem flexible:) Very comfortable to me!
I love your sweet and kind response to those that “just had to say their piece.” Never say never is soooo right! I am sorry you felt like you had to explain your self further……we will all look forward to your posts and what if anything you decide is right for you to do……and some of us just might join you! Praying for you and your sweet family!
Thank you sweet friend!!
I didn’t read yesterday about botox, but I’m with you, it’s nobody’s business really and it’s something we have to decide for ourselves.
I have used fillers and botox. I really don’t think it’s any different than coloring our hair or using make-up, just more expensive. I have a vanity problem maybe, but I work with the public and it makes me feel better about myself so I will continue to indulge as long as I can afford it and it doesn’t become my God. My God is much bigger than that!
Thanks for sharing Melesa!! I agree!
Cyndi, your sweet response to the many opinions from yesterday’s post reveal not only the confidence you have in yourself but also show another aspect of aging gracefully: Maturing in the Lord. As I read through the comment section yesterday, I felt the opinions came from hearts that were genuinely concerned for you. Having said all this, I love that in an age where many condescending remarks are left on social media, your Blog and your Readers extend love and grace to each other! I love your Blog and learn a lot from you as well as your Readers! It’s just the best!
Your outfit today is perfect for my personal goal to add clothes to my closet that are both classy and comfortable at the same time!
Be blessed today! 😊
Thank you so much for your kind words Nancy!! Blessings!!
The link to the jacket isn’t right – but you look fabulous!
Thank you!! I will get that fixed! The one under the last picture is correct. Thanks for letting me know!!
Your style seemed to have change to me. Loving it. I can just look at the picture and wham it looks fabulous.
Thanks sweet lady!!
Thank you for being transparent…i love that about you!! I am wearing one of your outfits today…and feel great in it!
Oh Yay!! Thanks for sharing!! Thanks lady:)
Very cute outfit & great response to all the posts. We all have to decide what’s best for us. You are so right about never say never. Blessings to you.
Thank you Mary!! Blessings!
