Looks I Love Right Now

Happy Monday! I have been getting ready for my 25 Days of Winter Fashion that starts on November 13th and these are some of the looks I love right now.

I can’t do a winter post and not style some buffalo check, it just says winter to me. I also love all the feminine touches they are adding to coats, sweaters, and dresses.

Beauty For the Heart~~Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23

It is there that character is formed. It alone holds the secrets of true success. Its treasures are priceless–but they can be stolen. -Chuck Swindoll

How well are we guarding our heart?

Have a blessed day!

  1. I’m praying for your family. Please don’t neglect to ask about physical therapy. It is never to late to build muscle and many issues lder people have with owalking and balancing stem from muscle weakness. Many exercises can be done while sitting or doing something else. It’s worthwhile looking into it.

  2. Cyndi , Sorry to hear that your Father -In -Law is not doing well , I hope the best for him , I will keep your family in my prayers . I love all your picks , hope we will get to see you style some of them .
    Blessings to your family!!!
    Diana

  3. Thoughts and prayers as you navigate this difficult situation. These are never easy decisions.

All your picks are very pretty, and I’m excited to see your winter series.

  4. Love everything you picked out, especially numbers 6 and 11. It seems to me you and your husband have had an awful lot of changes to go through, all at once, and they are still coming at you. I really feel for you and am reminded of the wonderful verses and quotes you used in your “peace” themed 28 days of fall fashion series. Peace and strength be with you and your family.

  5. Hi Cyndi, love your picks for fall. Gosh I think we all could use these!

May God guide you through this journey with elderly parents. My husband and I went tbrough this 20 yrs ago. Those where very difficult times. My Mother at age 91 still lives indepentently, still drives. There is no talking to her about any help even though it would make her life easier.

Take care…you are in my prayers.

  6. Cyndi, you and Wayne and his family are in my prayers. Such a hard thing to have to go through, I know. And FWIW, Sam’s has Woolrich wraps (reversible!) very similar to your #6. Under $15!

  7. Sending all my love & prayers to you & yours….Our Awesome & Wonderful Savior will see you through…May God Bless you all…..All my Love..

  8. Keeping you and your family in my prayers, Cyndi. It’s such a different time of life we find ourselves in, when our parents enter their older age, and all the new experiences that come with it. I remember sitting somewhere (when I finally had a few quiet moments to reflect on “life”) and wonder, how did this time come so quickly??!! There still are blessings to be found in these experiences for everyone in the family. Sending you my love and a big hug!!

  9. I am sorry to hear about your father-in-law and will add your family in my prayers. We have been going through a rough time with my 93-year-old dad, whose home burned down a week ago Thursday, and the next day he fell and broke his hip. He’s in rehab now and we’re leaning on God to get through all of this, as I am sure you are.

  10. Prayers for your precious father-in-law Cyndi. This is such a hard and delicate part of life to journey through.
    Thank you for sharing.

  11. Oh, Cyndi, sending y’all hugs and prayers! You are right, “…we have a Savior who is with us…”
Those are cute looks! Can’t wait to buy warm clothes for the cold weather. Here in Texas still feels like Summer. 🤗

  12. Good Afternoon,

So many great looks you have featured……. I’m loving the buffalo check scarf and embroidered skirt. I went in Loft yesterday and seen so many things I wanted.

Prayers for your family. Hope all goes well.

  13. I have been where you and your husband are right now. My sweet mother went from independent to assisted living after a fall. A well-run assisted living facility will be a blessing to both you and your in-laws. Just having staff that is trained to handle the daily necessities takes so much stress off of them and you. Also, the activities and friendships they will become a part of will give them unexpected joy and something to look forward to each day. My mother’s life was blessed way beyond what I could have ever hoped or imagined during the 10 years she lived in a retirement community setting. My heart goes out to you both as you make such a decision. Wishing you God’s peace throughout this process.

  14. Oh Cyndi, I amthe owner of 2 Assisted LIving Facilites and actually am the administrator of one…I understand your anxiety and fear of having to send a love one my prayers are with you through this transition, these are the things no one can tell you about ahead of time…With most of our precious residents it takes about 2 weeks for them to become settled and adjusted and usually after the care and attention (meds, food, etc) they start feeling better!! Praying for all of ya!!! Please keep me updated!

  15. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. We had to do the same with Grandpa which ended up being a blessing. At first, we felt guilt that emotionally and physically we could not keep up with the demands. It’s very stressful at first and than with God things just fell into place. Which ever direction the Lord leads your family in this decision my prayers are with you.

  16. This is a difficult time in our lives as our parents get older. It is so sad to see the ones you love start to fail. Your mother in law will miss him so much when he moves into assisted living but hopefully it will be close enough that she can visit daily or almost daily. My prayers are with you and your family.

  17. Been there, done that…..prayers for your entire family! I have number one right there in my closet…..I love it when I have the tools in my arsenal to do just what you suggest or love!

  18. Praying for you and your family. My 97 year old grandmother lives in assisted living . It is a been a blessing for the family. Bless you and your family. Take care. Thanks for the message.

  19. Prayers for all of you Cyndi, as you face such a difficult time. Thank you for sharing your struggles and your joy! (And of course, fabulous fashion at reasonable price points!)

  20. Sending prayers to you and your family during this time with your father-in-law. I’ve been there with the elderly in our family. Not an easy time.

  21. Prayers for your father-in-law. My parents have health issues especially my father and it is so hard to watch them lose their independence. I agree with you about the buffalo check….makes me want hot cocoa. ~Lisa~

  22. Cyndi, I will definitely keep your father in law, his wife, and y’all in my prayers. Thank goodness all of you look to Him for strength and guidance. He is always there and never lets us down. My mom lived with us for over 20 years, then we put her in an assisted living facility, so that I could return to just being her daughter instead of the caregiver. Even with the dementia, we had a lot of good times during the last year of her life, that bring me such comfort and joy now.
What a fabulous outfit! Oh how I wish the sweater was cotton!

  23. Praying for your family Cyndi! It is never easy to watch are once strong parents need assistance. I know God will guide Wayne and his family. As always, loved your post.

  24. I really like the buffalo print too, it just screams Christmas and wintertime! Praying for God’s peace and wisdom for you and your family. And comfort for your Father-in-Law.

  25. Thanks for sharing with us Cyndi during what can be a very difficult time not just for you but for your father-in-law, and his wife. What a blessing that they are both still here though, and I pray you will all be at peace with the transition that will be needed.
    Blessings and prayers
    Karen

  26. Prayers for you, your husband and his family. May God give you the guidance you need to help everyone with tough decisions that everyone is at peace with.

  27. So sorry to hear about your Father-in-law Cyndi, these are not easy times. I just went through this with my mom fortunately we were able to keep her home with us, with help of a wonderful aide who cared for her while we were at work. You are all blessed to still have him with you at 91! Sadly in the end we pray for God to take them so that they may have peace and rest. I will pray for your family.

  28. These are all great Cyndi – I love all the bell sleeves! I will send good thoughts your way as you deal with your father-in-law. My dad is 88 and has been recently diagnosed with dementia. I am not in the same city (I am a 13 hour drive away), so my sister and I talk A LOT, as she is helping mom and dad with this diagnosis. They are still living independently, but we are making arrangements for future assisted living. It can be very stressful for everyone involved when someone you love is having health issues. I will say some prayers for you and your family.

  29. Prayers for your father in law. Its so hard when our parents get older. Love your pucs for fall. May God comfort your family today.
