5 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS STARTS TODAY!

Hey sweet friends! Today begins 5 Days of Giveaways here on Grace & Beauty. I thought it would be fun to help get you ready for some Christmas shopping.

We will start the week off with something I definitely have to have when I Christmas shop, especially on Black Friday….lots of coffee! Of course Starbucks has latte’s, chia tea and breakfast sandwiches. So whatever you need, this $24 gift card to Starbucks will get you off to a good start. (ENTER THE GIVEAWAY BELOW)

Fall is in the air here in Kentucky and the gorgeous leaves are still hanging around. Oh how I dread to see them all gone from the trees.

Yesterday after church we spent some time outside soaking up the mild fall day. These sneakers from Nordstrom are perfect when the weather isn’t cold.

My crossbody bag is great to carry when you want to be hands free. It’s a Dooney & B0urke bag and it comes in several different colors including red which would be cute for the Christmas.

This sweater is from LOFT and is on sale for 40% off.

Beauty For the Heart~~After we came home from spending some time outside yesterday, I saw the tragic news about the church in Texas.

Wayne and I spent time praying last night for the families and the small town. I can hardly wrap my head around this evil act. I am NOT a doomsday person nor do I pretend to understand why there is so much evil in our world but two verses came to my mind.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. 2 Timothy 3:1-4

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

Praying for the families of those killed and for the people wounded in the horrific church shooting in Sutherland Springs, TX!

  1. Praying for protection for our churches and our Christian communities. So terribly sad and very scary. On a happy note, I love your sweater! Loft is carrying some gorgeous sweaters this season!

  2. Thanks for sharing those verses. They are definitely on target!! My prayers are with the families and friends of those in Texas. I really like your casual outfit!

  3. Thank you for the giveaways and for praying for the Texas families. We’ve had a really tough year in Texas and now another sad unnecessary tragedy. I almost don’t want to watch the news anymore 😞
But I also have to tell you that I’ve wanted these Loft jeans for some time now and yesterday I finally ordered them because they were on sale and I also had an additional $25 off code and it’s so hard to find petite jeans. I was not in the shopping mood but knew if I didn’t take advantage of the sale I wouldn’t be able to pay regular price.
And this morning, you styled them again and I knew it was a sign. Lol

  4. Very tragic for our nation…again! Praying for protection over all churches. 2 Chronicles 7:14-if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

  5. Cindy, so many lovely comments and my heart is with all of you.
But I want to know why Instagram is your favorite. I’m still learning to navigate these sites.

  6. Your verses are spot on. I keep thinking why don’t we humble our hearts, pray and seek his face and pray some more that he will heal our land. All of this evil breaks my heart.

  7. Good Afternoon,

I think this is such a cute and comfortable outfit……… love the color of the sweater!

    Have a great day!

  8. Thank you for these verses Cyndi. It’s hard to comprehend not feeling safe in church anymore.
You look so cute in this outfit. Have a blessed week.

  9. Yes saying prayers for the families in Texas , it is senseless tragedy and your verses are spot on , I like this outfit because it is simple and yet still looks great . I think your hair looks good no matter what way you wear it and you are so sweet for doing these giveaways for us .
    Thank you !!!
    Have a great afternoon .
    Diana

  10. Your two verses for today were spot on! It is heartbreaking for all of us, and many prayers are being lifted up for all the families and loved ones of the victims, and for all of us! It is difficult to wrap our minds around such anger, hatred and evil walking amongst us.

  11. Amen! It is such an evil act of hate! My hearts is so heavy too, and yes, those two Bible verses are right on! Lord, have mercy in us, and on the whole world!
Thanks for the giveaway! Love your casual outfit! Looking beautiful as always, Cyndi! 🤗

  12. I’m with you Cyndi about the bad news. I have to turn the radio off b/c it’s too sad to hear. I think Loft has put out some beautiful pieces this fall. I love your green sweater!

  13. Great post, as always. I love the Beauty for the Heart. I drove through Kentucky last week. You live in a beautiful state!!

  14. Thanks for the Starbucks give away. Such a tragedy in Texas. My mind is having a hard time wrapping around so many shootings and what can be done. PRAY…PRAY….PRAY. Just so sad. Just don’t feel much like shopping for clothes, but life goes on for others. Thanks for keeping us focus on whats important, while still having fun with fashion. I love Fall and also am sad all the leaves are starting to FALL off the trees. Time is really going fast. I have so much to do before hosting Thanksgiving.

  15. While it’s such fun to talk about outfits and shopping, you remain focused and keep us focused on Christ. You are a true example of Grace & Beauty in your walk with The Lord. Thank you for your light when times are dark, and thank you for your example. You are a blessing 🙂

  16. We too were caught off guard when we turned on the TV late yesterday…so sad, and so sad that these types of things are becoming so frequent. I couldn’t help but think, in a town that small everyone will be touched directly or indirectly by this. Truly heartbreaking; thank you for the BFH verses today.
I’ve been looking at those exact shoes and think I may have to get some :). And Starbucks, yes please! 🙂

  17. I too am praying …just heartsick about this world. I can not carry this …I hand it to Jesus.
Beautiful post today …waving from the lexington area of Kentucky!!

  18. That color sweater is still showing in stock as far as I can see? The bright olive heather? Or is yours a different color?

Prayers go out to the families and the loved ones of those left behind, we can hope and pray that the ones who passed on went from praising Jesus to being in His presence.

      1. Looking at her post from the loft that is the color she was wearing. They also have a sweater that’s very close to that color and very soft (no wool) at old navy. I’m in Canada but I’m sure you would have it too. Bought in store really nice and not expensive.

  19. I just wept when I heard about the tragedy in Texas…so much evil in the world. Praying God’s comfort for those devastated families.
Thanks for being there with scripture for us, Cyndi.

  20. Our hearts are with those families and all the people of the town hurt so badly by this tragic shooting.
I love your comfortable look today! This look is who I am!
    Have a blessed day!

  21. I am heartbroken over the senseless tragedy in Sutherland, TX. This newest shooting just emphasizes that we need to be ready! You look very cute in this casual ootd. I love that type of sneaker, just wish I could find them and booties in a size wide. It is so diffucult for me to buy shoes with a small wide foot and high instep. Anyone have any suggestions?

    1. Try the naturalizer website and look at the Marianne sneaker shoe. They come in narrow, medium and wide. I have them in the med width and they are supper comfortable. I actually had been looking at the Steve Madden pair Cyndi is showing as I own a Steve Madden pair already. But the naturalizer are definitely more comfortable, very cushiony. I am in Canada but I’m sure you will have them on the USA site. Good luck.

  22. Our prayers go out for those in Texas… what another tragedy for the USA to have to deal with. We must remind ourselves though, that through it all God is in control and he will never leave us. Thank you Cyndi for your Bfth….. I must say I like your outfit as I just bought a green sweater the exact color and debated on it or the grey(glad I picked the green) and I have the black sneaker shoes too so I’m ready to go.
    Blessings and prayers to all

  23. I too have been praying for Sutherland, Texas and will continue. My mind cannot comprehend all the evil that seems to continue to happen. I am so thankful I have a Savior. These pics are gorgeous with the fall leaves and you blend in so beautifully. ~Lisa~

  24. Thank you for always being a bright spot in the midst of these tragedies that seem all too common lately. I appreciate your mindfulness and encouragement to pray for everyone touched by this tragedy, all while still keeping us all plugging along with day to day life. It helps to know other hearts are equally heavy, but we serve an awesome, comforting God! Thank you for reminding us each day.

  25. Have you had your hair cut? That length is very flattering on you! Fabulous pictures and outfit. I too am praying for Sutherland, TX. Only God knows why there are now 26 more angels. Peace be with those left behind.
