Beauty For the Heart~~This morning I was reading about suffering. Obviously, it has been on my mind with the recent shooting in Texas.

I read this about suffering. “Could suffering amplify the message of God’s love and grace? If a preacher talks to you about God’s love, what impact does that have on you? But if a person in their final hours of life, as they waste away racked with pain because of cancer talks of God’s love, what impact does that have on you?

If someone driving a Lexus has a license plate that says “Blessed” how impressed are you? But if someone searching through a dump in India says, “I’m so blessed”, how do you react?

Suffering amplifies the message of God’s love and grace.”

C.S. Lewis wrote, God whispers to us in our pleasure, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.

I have lived long enough to know this, I will have pain and suffering in this world. I need to be prepared. I want to bless the name of Jesus in the good times and in my suffering.

Let’s all allow God to use our suffering to amplify the message of His love and grace!

  4. I love it when you show photos of Colt Allen, he’s adorable and maybe he looks a little bit like you!
Loved BFH today. Taking comfort in knowing whatever pain we go through He went through it too.
Love the green jacket! Be blessed!

  5. Thank you for the reminder of God’s message through suffering. He tells us in this world we will have tribulation and I know He desires to bring beauty from ashes. Blessings to you and your family!

  6. BFH……so good this morning, so needed and so true! We all have suffering but what gets our real attention? We are going into dark times I am a feared……and only our faith and strength that we get from our Lord and Savior will help us through. Love your picks from Nordstrom……brown boots and the green jacket…..swoon worthy! Funny story: My 84 y/o very opinionated mother told me that green is an ugly color….well it just happens to be the same color as my eyes and I get lots of compliments when I wear it……so I told her the other day when she started in on me again…..that I got my eye color from Dad and that jacket is the exact color of my eyes and I like that my eyes are different so if she doesn’t like it she should blame Dad (who’s been gone now for a few years)…….she couldn’t argue with me anymore wearing my OD Green…..;-)

  7. THANK YOU ! What a happy photogenic face. He really connects with the camera in a way that in turn connects with the viewer.

  8. Hi Cyndi,
I am a big fan of your blog and look forward to your daily posts. I enjoy being able to indulge my fashion interests with spirituality and good moral values. Great job. Thank you.

I am not sure if I am participating in the give away contest correctly. I already follow the blog, instagram, facebook but I am not accumulating points and I have been signing in every day. This morning the number of points was zero.
    Can you help me?

  9. You inspire me everyday Cyndi. Your love of this world and God’s love shines through on each message. Thank you bit this blog!

  10. Thank you for the Beauty for the Heart today on suffering. The thoughts are so true. God is good no matter what happens in this life, I”m very thankful I have Him as my Lord and Savior. My heart is very heavy for those grieving and clinging to life in Texas. Your little Colt Allen is such a cute little guy. He just looks like he’d be loads of fun, like his Grammy! Be Blessed!

  11. WOW, your BFH today is beautiful! Thank you Cyndi for always seemingly being spot on with what I need to hear. Yes, we all suffer, and in so many ways throughout our lives. Bless YOU for sharing this with us!

  12. First of all, THANK you for the giveaways!
Second, your BfH really goes with what I heard in church this morning. Just been prepared to fave our Lord one day, and to live our lives rejoicing even when there is pain like St. Paul said it in his letters. Thank you, Cyndi for softening out hearts with the Word of the Lord! 🤗
P.S. I love that Colton boy, so cute! He loves spending time with you!

  13. Thanks so much for addressing the pain and suffering in this world that can draw us closer to Christ our Lord.

  14. I love your beautiful Christian spirit. Your smile is so radiant and shows your inner peace.. Your comments about the suffering in Texas is very comforting.
