New Year Winter Weather Fashion

Happy New Year ladies! I hope your year is off to a great start. We spent New Year’s Eve at our favorite Bed and Breakfast Inn and it was the perfect way to bring in 2018. I took some time off around here but I’m ready to get back on track and I’m excited about 2018.

We’re having some super cold weather and I know a lot of you all are too so I’m sharing some winter weather fashion. Just because the weather is cold, it doesn’t mean we can’t look fashionable.

New Year Winter Weather Fashion

It hasn’t been this cold for a few winters and I realized I needed a warm coat so I ordered this North Face down parka. I also need warm boots, booties aren’t going to cut it right now.

Here are some cute winter clothes to add to your winter wardrobe.

Is it cold where you live?

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m on FacebookPinterest and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:19

I believe God is always wanting to do a new thing in our lives but the question is, are we looking for it? Let’s start the New Year looking and listening to see what God is going to do this year.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Happy 2018! Here in south central Georgia, we are also having some really cold weather, with lows in the teens and highs in the 40’s if you’re lucky. I have learned that regular athletic shoes with some mesh on them do not keep your toes warm, even with better socks on. I am still looking for appropriate boots for my feet. I actually prefer cold weather over hot weather for many reasons, one of them being no mosquitoes!

  2. We live in southern CA and chose…yes chose…to spend New Years in Quebec City. I don’t think I’ve ever been so cold in my life. But we did tobagganing and dog sledding and ice skating and all the other things you can’t do in boring southern CA weather…which varies between earthquake season and fire season.

Keeping warm is definitely the only way to enjoy cold weather. Now we’re in Montreal for the week…with snow. What have I learned? People in cold weather states are definitely not wusses! Mittens are much better than gloves…And any Christmas movie that shows snow on the ground yet the women have their jackets open and no hats on…is a dead giveaway that it’s fake snow lol.

  3. Happy New year Cyndi!!!
I can’t wait to hear what you have been doing
that you want to share with us, thank you
    and have a blessed evening!!

  4. It is crazy cold in PA.!!! Plus, I am a teacher, so they have slowed the heat for the time we were off and it was a balmy 65 degrees by the end of the day☹️. I wish I could afford those boots!!!

  5. Hey Cyndi. I’ve been looking at those boots for quite some time. Some reviews say order a size up. Some say true to size. What’s your opinion? Thx 😊

  6. I’m so happy you took a little time off. We all need to do that and not feel guilty. Living in CA we are about the only part of the country not experiencing the bone chilling cold. We were in VA over Christmas and it got really cold while we were there, but it’s even colder now. My future DIL(ove) sent me a snap this morning and it was 6 degrees in Nashville. She said, “this is not ok”…LOL poor girlie. Stay warm and yes, you can be cozy and stylish all at the same time. Looking forward to your posts in 2018! Happy New Year, Cyndi!!!

  7. Another East Tennessee gal chiming in about the cold. Looking forward to this cold snap moving on. Loved your post today, as I do everyday, especially Beauty for the Heart! Looking forward to Essential Oil and health posts! Have a wonderfully blessed day & try to stay warm!!

  8. Ditto freezing in Illinois !
Love idea of new winter wear helps deal with frigid air
Yes Gods mercies new every morning and every year😀

  9. Its cold in the Panhandle of Florida too! 22 degrees this morning which is real cold for here. Looking forward to your post. I always find some great clothes on your blog. Thank you again

  10. Hi!

I love following your blog! I saw that you have tried several new products and wondered if you had tried Monat Hair Care Products! I just started using the products a few months ago and fell so in love with the products that I became a Market Partner and love sharing about them. They are free of toxins (which is huge for me) and my hair is healthier and shinier than ever! I would love sharing more about them if you are interested!! I would even be happy to send you samples to try!

This is really so unlike me to share this with you…but when you mentioned how many new things you have tried…I thought you might be interested in this as well!

    Have a blessed day!!

    Tammy

  11. SO cold here in WV! Schools are delaying starting in the morning, b/c temps are so cold it is dangerous for kids who wait for a bus or walk.
Love to hear your cold weather suggestions.

  12. Happy New Year! Anxious to hear more about essential oils, I received a diffuser for Christmas. Plus, my daughter has done microblading and assures me that this is something that I need to do too.

  13. Just can’t relate to the cold everyone else seems to be experiencing, here in Southern California we’re in the low 70’s this week.

  14. Believe it or not, I welcome this cold weather as my hot flashes are at an all time high 🙁 Sorry ladies if that’s too much info, but the struggle is real! Cyndi, looking forward to what you have to share on essential oils! Willing to give them a try for sure!

  15. I recently bought a pair of Isotoner gloves like the Isotoner Signature ones you have pictured above, in black. They are so warm and toasty in most of our northern Illinois weather! (Although with the frigid wind chills lately, I still wouldn’t want to be out in the cold for long.) The gloves work very well for driving and are pretty enough to wear for “dress” on these cold days.

My hands get especially dry and chapped during this weather. My hands are in and out of water a lot. I would love to see what you have found for best products for keeping hands moisturized and healthy.

Thanks for the post on keeping warm and looking good in these chilling days!

  16. Um hello to the cold! It’s a balmy 4 degrees here in Ohio on Lake Erie with a wind chill of -11!!!

  17. Very cold here in N.C.too. Spending NYE at that bed and breakfast sounds cozy and fun . Thanks for the suggestions on the winter wear , I definitely need new gloves and boots . I can’t wait for all you have planned to share with us this year
Stay warm and have a blessed day !!!

  18. I hear you about the cold. It turned very cold here in Canada on Christmas Day and hasn’t warmed up since( lets just say Santa knew what to bring me. I’ve been wearing it all ever since). We will be paying for our mild November and December. We woke up today to another -19 degrees Celsius with the wind chill. I guess you will have to find some nice indoor locations for your photo shoots until it warms up. I am looking forward to your essential oils info as I actually thought about that this morning.
    Happy New Year
    Karen

  19. Very cold here in Eastern Iowa right by the Mississippi River. -13 WITHOUT any wind chill. Brrr!!!! Thanks for the warm fashionable clothes. We Northern girls are always looking for options that keep us toasty and smart looking, too. Cannot believe the Scripture you shared today,Cyndi. My husband & I picked Isaiah 43:19 for our 2018 family verse. Then it kept popping up all day yesterday from the various ministries we follow as as the verse for 2018. Don’t you love the way the Holy Spirit puts the Word in the Body of Christ all at once??!! Here’s a no looking forward to all you have to share from Grace & Beauty these next 12 months. Be blessed and be a blessing!! Rochelle

    1. Whoops. I meant looking forward “to” NOT “no”!! My fingers are THAT cold today!!! 😂❄️❤️

  20. Here in Northern California our winters aren’t too cold. Our highs average in the 50’s with lows in the 40’s. Cold enough to enjoy boots and sweaters but I have no need for a parka unless I head up to Tahoe. I am so excited for what you have planned for our blog for 2018! Your blog is a favorite of mine! Blessings!

  21. Thanks Cyndi for the great clothing. I’m here in Cincinnati freezing. I woke up to -6 º this morning. My gloves are not working to keep my fingers from turning purple and freezing. What do you recommend?

  22. Cold here in Eastern Kentucky! -2 on my way to work this morning. I feel so sorry for the animals that are out in this weather, our cattle especially.

How about some cold weather skin care tips? The indoor heat is really taking a toll!

  23. Very cold here at Rough River Lake Ky. 8 degrees. Love the clothing you showed us today. Praying for warmer weather. Happy 2018

  24. Yes ma’am it is COLD here in east Tennessee too! and expected to stay this way for a while. Thanks for all the cozy options.
