Grace & Beauty Reader Survey + A Giveaway

Good morning! I have been working behind the scenes here at Grace & Beauty, trying to prepare for the year ahead. I would love your help as I look at what to share in 2018.

Grace & Beauty Reader Survey + A Giveaway

This blog is my full time job and I could not do it without each of you! I want to hear your thoughts and your ideas and what you’d like to see from me going into the new year.

All questions are optional, so you can skip over any that don’t resonate with you. While the survey is anonymous I would appreciate advice and constructive criticism. This isn’t a place to vent or be mean spirited.

The great thing about a blog is, if you don’t like it, you don’t have to read it. I rarely get mean comments but when I do I pray for that person and then move on.

You will notice in my survey, I didn’t mention my Beauty For the Heart section. That is something I do and it’s not an option for me. If I’m going to share about fashion and beauty, I want to make sure that women know there is more to beauty than our outward appearance. I couldn’t write this blog and not share about Jesus.

Okay, if you would like to fill out my survey, click here.

As a way to say thank you for taking the time to fill out the survey, I’m giving an Instant Pot ($100 value) OR an Essential Oil Premium Starter Kit ($160 value) to one random survey participant. The winner will choose which gift they want.

It’s simple to enter. When you finish the survey, you will see the option to enter your email address. I will select a random winner on Monday, January 15th, 2018, and the winner will be contacted via email and announced on the Survey Results post.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for being such a sweet group of women. I feel I have grown to know so many of you over the years and it is a blessing to be a part of your life.

Beauty for the Heart~~The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5

It’s so important that we shine Christ’s light in our world. We need it more than ever! Think about how you can share the love of Christ today.

Have a blessed day!

    1. I love your blog!! I just started checking you out here and on Pinterest. Quick question. If I only went with a few pants for several looks(to be affordable) what colors should I get?

  1. I appreciate you wanting reader feedback! One thing I forgot to write on the survey is that I like how the items you model are not outrageously expensive. I have noticed that other bloggers are constantly showing $3,000 bags and $800 boots and most people can’t afford to pay that much!

  2. 2017 was rough for my family as well. Unfortunately, 2018 may not be much better due my parents’ health. However, I am a glass-half-full person and will do my best to stay positive. Currently, I am working in a “Cultivate What Matters” journal on Joy. The verses attached to each entry are specific to Joy. There are other journals as well, such as Gratitude, Faith, Hope, etc. God’s grace will sustain us even in difficult times.

Praying for you and your family.

  3. Survey taken! I am so sorry 2017 was a rough year, seems like it was for many people I know, including myself.

I look forward to another year of great posts! Even if it’s an outfit I wouldn’t wear, I enjoy seeing how you style everything.

  4. Thank you, Cyndi❣️ For being yourself and reminding us all that you to are human as well! And if you didn’t already know, you are inspiration to many. I myself had a difficult time in 2017. Losing my Dad was the hardest, but I’m at Peace knowing he is no longer in pain.
Blessings to you as well as all your followers. I know my Lord & Savior never gives me anything I can’t handle! So, with that being said, I say Bring it on 2018. We’re all ready for it all. Cyndi, please continue to share your passions with whether it’s dieting, exercising, fashion, skin & hair care and more.
    Sending ❤️&🤗 your way.

  5. I have to admit that I noticed a change in your blog consistency this year but thank you for explaining and hope that 2018 is a better year. True fans don’t give up on their team during tough times and I look forward to what you have in store for us.

  6. We’re all walking our own journey. And life is sometimes messy. I enjoy your positivity and joyful attitude, even when life is tough. Thanks for sharing yourself with us.

  8. Cyndi, I am sorry that 2017 was a difficult year for you. Thank you for reminding us that there is a life behind the blog, and that I may not be the only one with a less than perfect life🙂 It is easy to lose sight of that as we peruse blogs and social media.

  9. This the first time I have left a comment, but I had to say it is your faith and authenticity that make me look forward to hearing from you. You truly epitomize grace and beauty! Your fashion and beauty ideas have been helpful and inspiring. I am in the “older” category and it is hard to find fashion input, but you provide exactly what I need, with an extra push to try something new!
    Blessings to you !
    Linda

  11. i enjoy your blog and your style… appreciate your willingness to help the rest of us to try to look our best as we faithfully try do our best!

  12. I look forward to you post every day! I love when people are “REAL”! We all have less than perfect lives, but that’s what makes it a life! My Savior definitely has his share of troubles during his short life here on earth so why do we expect none? These are moments in which we can grow! I’d buy your book for sure!
Blessing for a great new year!

  13. Thank you, Cyndi, for all you share…and always with a smile and your love for Jesus that shines through! I always look forward to your blog and especially Beauty for the Heart. Keep doing what you do and following your heart!

  14. Cyndi,
There is a quote about the fact at one tine or another “we all lead lives of quiet desperation”. Thanks for being genuine. I think you look so happy Seated on the steps. I hope that was a good day for you.

  15. Oh Cyndi, I think most all of us can relate to those tears that fall behind our smile sometimes. Life isn’t perfect but they are opportunities to grow and trust Christ, which I know you do from the things you share. I have been, and will, continue to pray for you and Wayne as God guides and brings you along through life’s journey. You are so very sweet and a blessing anytime I receive one of your Blog Posts. Hugs!

  16. Thank you for being so authentic with us, your readers. As a pastor’s wife I know that everyday is not a happy day and that life is hard. You sharing about real life is what encourages me most! The fun outfits are just a plus!!! 😊

  17. Thank you for sharing your heart and your life with us, Cyndi. I appreciate your Beauty for the Heart as it always ministers to me as well.
    Happy New Year,
    Traci

  18. A book sounds great and I like the title. I think we all have thought of a book at one time or another. It’s so nice that you open up and share the way you do but I do understand you have your personal life too:) I think we have all shed tears behind our smiles and often put on a good front when all we may want to do is cry….thank you for being yourself and putting yourself out there daily. Love your BFTH one of the main reasons I follow your blog… along with your great sense of style of course😉. Please continue what you do and may we always be mindful that it’s a real person behind the blog.

    Blessings
    Karen

  19. Thank you, Cyndi, for being real. I struggle with self esteem and some blogs are so cute, but the perfection is hard for me to take. I’m generally happy for the “perfect” people, but I can really start to feel lousy with all that perfection smacking me in the face. It’s my issue, not theirs, but just knowing that you are indeed a real person, and you know what it’s like to have a real life and not a “perfect” internet life, makes you much more relatable. I really appreciate that.

  20. I second, third, fourth….ha ha….the idea to write a book! I think that is a fabulous idea, and I know I would pick it up as soon as it came out. Thank your honesty and for or sharing your life with us, and thank you for all of the outfit inspiration. You have changed the way I put outfits together, and you have also changed the way I shop for my clothes….for the better! Here’s to a wonderful 2018….looking forward to all you will have to share! God bless you and your family!

    1. Sorry about those typos….should say “Thank you for your honesty and for sharing your life with us…” 🙂

  21. I would love to read a book about “life behind the blog”! Also, I love your posts on clothes and hair the most. Can you give advice on what NOT to wear if you are short? I’m 5’2″ and sometimes I have on a cute outfit but it looks frumpy on me. I’m 54 years old and so there’s that!:-)

    Many Blessings!

  22. Cyndi your positive words and faith, are so uplifting. It is so easy to get discouraged, then when I open my email and read your blog and inspiring words it’s a daily reminder of God’s Love for us. I too have been sharing your blog with friends and co-workers of all ages, the feed back is so positive. So keep doing what you are doing…Shining for Jesus!

  23. Thank you Cyndi for being real and transparent about shedding tears behind those photos. Looking forward to your fashion, beauty and inspiration this upcoming 2018. ~Lisa~

  24. Thanks for sharing and doing the survey/giveaway. I love it when you share real life, but realize not everything is intended for the internet. Stay warm & be blessed!

  25. I just want to mention your idea of writing a book is fabulous and I love the title! I hope you can make this dream a reality. Hopefully things will settle down soon. Life sure does have a lot of ups and downs.
    Take care

  26. I send out an update to my very close friends every once in awhile and I have heard on more than one occasion, “you need to write a book”! I think you have hit on a instant hit for all of us who follow you because there is a story there just waiting to come out!

  27. Thank you, Cyndi, for the reminder. GOD IS FAITHFUL–thru the happy days and those filled with tears! God bless you, my sister.
