ADDRESSING A QUESTION ABOUT FWTFL PROGRAM

Hey friends! My daughter had someone ask a question about me, which I thought was a good one. I had never thought to address this on the blog, but it makes sense.

You all know I’m passionate about the Faster Way to Fat Loss program. I have reached my goal weight, and I do not want to lose anymore, so why am I still doing the FWTFL program?

Truthfully, this is not a program, but a lifestyle and I’m now in the VIP Faster Way to Fat Loss group. (The exercises are a little more challenging, but I always do what I can do. Sometimes, I modify them if I feel they’re too hard.)

ADDRESSING A QUESTION ABOUT FWTFL PROGRAM

After going through several rounds of the FWTFL program, I decided to join the VIP group. The VIP group takes health and fitness to a whole new level.

There is no prep week for the VIP group. You don’t have to post your macros on the facebook page, but you can if you want to.

Here are some other benefits of the VIP Group:

  • New workouts each month. These workouts will be more varied than the FASTer Way workouts, with experts coming in to add to our current foundation.
  • A monthly theme related to health and wellness. We will be diving deep into our monthly topics so you will be armed with the latest, most cutting-edge health and wellness information.
  • A monthly mentor who will provide education and support on the month’s theme.
  • More access to me for support, questions and guidance.
  • VIP discounts on upcoming events.
  • Provider discounts with our mentors.
  • Long-term, daily accountability to help you continue to see progress toward your goals.
  • Live group calls to keep you connected to mentors, myself and other members.
  • Consistent community to push you forward, encourage you and keep you motivated.

So while I’m not trying to lose weight, I am trying to continue to see results, to get leaner, stronger, and healthier. I also want to learn more and more about health and fitness.

If you would like to be a part of the Faster Way To Fat Loss program, the new class starts February 5th!!

If you’ve been a part of the FWTFL program and wanted to step it up a notch, then I highly recommend joining the VIP group. This membership is $99 a month.

Okay, if you have any questions, let me know! I would also love to hear your success stories with the FWTFL program. Let’s encourage each other!

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m on FacebookPinterest, and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~But if you find your value–your “glory,” as Scripture refers to your self-worth–in anything besides your identity as someone loved by God, you are never going to be truly content. That means the ever-present threat, which makes being offended a way of life.

And that state of constant threat, that way of life, is deadly. -Brant Hansen

  1. I am hoping you can help, I did a round of FWTFL last year, but honestly our family had just suffered a great tragedy and my focus was not on fitness…so I basically lost will power, initiative and gave up fairly early in the program. I would like to give it another go because you look so great and I really need to get my fitness back up! I was having issues with the timing and schedule and wondered if you had any advice? My work schedule is 7-3 and I had no trouble keeping the fast til noon it was what to break the fast with and where in the day to do the workout? If I was home all day I think I would have an easier time? Can you speak to your daily routine and how that could be modified to w working out of the house schedule? Trying to decide if I should give it another try?

  2. Hi Cyndi,

I started my first round of FWTFL on Jan 15 after seeing your success with it. How long did it take for you to see visible results ? I feel really good and much more in control of my eating , I have about 10-15 lbs I would like to shed. I love your blog if is my favorite of the ones I follow. I too am a dental hygienist! God Bless

  3. Cyndi thanks to you I am in the FWTFL VIP program. I am 52 and while I am not at the weight I would like I do feel the best I have felt in years. I never exercised or ate right before theFWTFL and had zero motivation. The group has kept me motivated and grounded, but I do not feel stifled by the program. It has been liberating to have control over my eating. Before FWTFL I was constantly beating myself up for not eating correctly and constantly dwelling on being healthy and accomplishing nothing except a bad self esteem. I truly believe God put you and this program in my life so I could focus more on Him and not myself all the time. If anyone is on the fence give it a try. You will not regret.

  4. That video was hilarious, thanks Cyndi! I needed a good laugh.
Thank you for motivating me to care for myself, and to understand my body is the temple if the Holy Spirit, therefore, I must take care of it! I’m very grateful that I can move my body! Way to go, Cyndi!

    1. Cyndi, why anyone would ask your daughter a personal question like that especially at church is ridiculous. It really is NO ONES business what you choose to do for yourself. Once again you chose to take the graceful approach and use it as a learning lesson for us all which is why your blog is so special to all of us. Keep being your beautiful self!

      1. She wasn’t being mean at all! She’s a close friend of Courtney’s and just said it in conversation. But I thought other women might be wondering the same thing so I wanted to address it. 🙂

  5. Cyndi , the video about the gym selfies was hilarious. I think what you are doing is awesome, it is no different than someone have a trainer at the gym and keeping the trainer after they hit their goal weight to motivate them , show them new exercises and help them with nutrition, so you go girl !!!
Thank you for giving us the motivation to know we can get healthy too .
    Have a great afternoon!!

  6. Well Cyndi, I’m so glad you answered this question LOL as I have been wondering the same thing. I think you look great but I have always thought that about you. So its obviously a personal opinion of how we feel, inside and out. I have never been one to sign up for programs, boot camps and I have given the gym a try (not for me). But having said that I have always been one to power walk and even jog Ha!! on occasion. I recently lost 12 lbs. Not by doing anything major or spectacular other than realizing I was eating perhaps more than I needed to. so I cut out desserts( which became a habit while entertaining a lot) as I’m not a dessert person and our children have grown up leaving the table without dessert being served. I’ve now gone back to dessert = company, Ha. I simply eat what I want but as everything in MODERATION. I still love my peanut butter cups and dill pickle chips. I also changed up my exercise program as I now want to do exercises that will help me tone more( my children 21, and 23 are great in this field). We as a family are trying to be about healthy choices that we can live by as it is certainly a lifestyle change. I don’t do any special meals or menus. Meals are crazy as it is lOL. Upcoming changes my daughter and I are going to be purchasing essential oils, I will work on my toning and I plan to stay in my size jeans I’m currently in as I feel great.( my but can always get a little smaller) I want to be healthy and take care of myself not only for me but to be here for my kids and my husband. Both my parents are gone. (cancer) and I feel the need to do all I can without being fanatical about it. I thank God everyday for my health and I am preparing for changes I know I will have a head of me approaching the wonderful age of 50.
    Have a great Day
    Karen

      1. Yoga is a great way to keep your body fit! I have been doing it for 6 years, and as my yoga teacher says-“you are as young as your spine is flexible.”

        1. Yes, I truly need to look into this. I tried a class once and found it to be so relaxing and the stretching felt great for relieving stress:)

  7. I know my question isn’t about the posted topic, but….have you or anyone used a person shopper from Nordstrom’s? I have a special event in May and have NO IDEA what to wear. Please share if you have any experience with this.

    1. LOVE that service. I discovered it when I was living in Seattle. I hate to shop and, unless the outfit is displayed, I was at a loss to put things together. (I’m better now that I discovered Cindy though !!). I found that most of the pieces I purchased were the ones I wore most often. Now that I’m not near a Nordstrom, I often book an appointment when I travel. Stitch fix and Trunk Club are great but not nearly as wonderful as the personal shoppers!

I’ve used them for regular wardrobe purchases and special events.

  8. Hi Cyndi. Thanks for the info about FWTFL. I am currently doing my first round. I have been a little frustrated because I feel I haven’t seen any big results yet but I do love the program. Because you have been doing this for awhile, did you see results quickly or did it take a couple of rounds to start noticing some big changes? You look great! I don’t have a lot to lose but would really like to tone up. Just trying to decide if I want to sign up for another round. Thank you!

  9. Last week in my nutrition class we was to answer the question why we take care of ourselves. It was a question I pondered on until yesterday morning around 5am that i got my answer, so this Thursday night I will be able to answer my teachers question.
Why Not If you want to be Healthy, you eat right If you want to be Fit you Exercise
So Why Not Invest the time in you

I also like what you said about Your desire is for you to be healthy and to feel good

My way of taken care of myself is working out with my trainer at the gym 4 days a week and I clean eat.

  10. Hi Cyndi,

How many rounds of FWTFL did you do before joining the VIP group?

I’m halfway through my first round and definitely feel better already!

  11. As Teresa says…MOTIVATION…I cannot sustain motivation. and, I’ll be honest and say, I hate to workout – hate it – I can find 1000 other things to do. I have not done the program because frankly I don’t want to spend the money and then lose the motivation, if that makes sense. I already eat pretty well, but I know there is always room for improvement. I have gone back and forth in my mind, do it, don’t do it. It’s a struggle!
I’m curious about cheat days…birthdays, holidays, vacation…how do you integrate the “healthy eating” lifestyle into occasions that usually aren’t healthy food wise. That old saying “life is too short – eat the cake” always comes to mind :).
YOU look fantastic, and I know you must feel great or you wouldn’t keep going with the program…so here I am again on the fence.
That video – oh my gee! that is so funny, and spot on!

  12. I am happy for you that you’ve reached your goal weight. How did you determine what that would be? I know you’ve shared your height as 5’6” and wonder if you would be willing to share your ideal weight. You look great and toned so the program works. You have spiked my interest to possibly spend the money to try this program. Thanks for your encouragement to help us look our best.

  13. LOVE the workout top you are wearing! I have a VERY difficult time finding tops that are just tops – without the huge cutouts around the armholes or the back or wherever the designers think holes should go 🙂 That being said, can you share where you found the top that you are wearing? Also, do you know where there might be workout tops that are just tops – I’ve not had any luck searching online. Thanks for any direction/suggestions you may have!!

  14. Thank you Cyndi, for sharing your FWTFL journey. I completed two rounds in the fall with amazing results which (knock on wood) I’ve been able to maintain. I did injure my knee in my last round (trying to workout like a thirty year old! Amanda’s Program has taught me to be more mindful of what I eat. I would love to know some of your favorite foods/meals.
Hope the house hunting is going well. Still would love to meet you sometime! 💕

  15. Thanks for the update. I wondered about the VIP program. I’d like to get some of the new exercises, but don’t want to have to pay a monthly fee every month. I would be interested to know how much of the “clean eating” you’ve integrated into your daily life. I know you’ve got a passion for eating clean, but have you cut out all dairy, grains, gluten, etc??? Thanks Cyndi!

  16. Cyndi, How do you handle meals with your husband and family? Does Wayne eat what you eat? How about family meals? You look great! I just can’t seem to stay motivated. How do you stay motivated?

    1. I am currently doing the FWTWL group that started on Jan. 1st and I LOVE IT!!!! I have more energy than I have had in YEARS and as a side note, am also losing inches!!! Haven’t stepped on the scale since day 1 (not supposed to!) but can honestly say that I don’t CARE if I have gained weight….I look (more toned) and feel sooooo much better! Highly recommend it!
