Grace & Beauty Friday Favorites

Hello Friday! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the weekend. We don’t have any big plans, and that sounds pretty perfect. Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite finds with you, so keep scrolling to see what I’m trying, buying, and loving this week…

  • I’m on a big hot tea kick right now. If I drink it before noon, I don’t add anything because I fast until that time. After lunch, I will sometimes add raw organic honey. It satisfies my sweet tooth. Grace & Beauty Friday Favorites
  • A few weeks ago I told you I was going to try the Tarte shape tape concealer. Well, I’m hooked. This stuff is amazing! It’s exclusive to Ulta, and the shades were limited at my Ulta store, so I had to order it online. I’m wearing light neutral.

  • Right now I’m reading the book Unoffendable.I highly recommend this book, it’a game changer.

Here is the description: It’s a radical, provocative idea: We’re not entitled to get offended or stay angry. The idea of our own “righteous anger” is a myth. It is the number-one problem in our societies today and, as Dallas Willard says, Christians have not been taught out of it.

As it turns out, giving up our “right” to be offended can be one of the most freeing, healthy, simplifying, relaxing, refreshing, stress-relieving, encouraging things we can do. In Unoffendable, listeners will find something of immeasurable value – a concrete, practical way to live life with less stress. They’ll adjust their expectations to fit human nature and replace perpetual anger with refreshing humility and gratitude.

Through the author’s winsome, humorous, and conversational style, this book doesn’t add another thing to do on a stressed-out person’s ever-growing list. Unoffendable actually seeks to lift religious burdens from our backs and allow us to experience the joy of gratitude, perhaps for the first time, every single day of our lives.

Need I say more??

  • Jane Iredale loose mineral powder. I had used her pressed powder, but I recently tried the loose powder, and I like it!  This foundation gives a very flawless look without looking like you have a ton of makeup.

  • T3 Curling Iron. This curling iron is pricey, but it’s what I use to get soft curls, and I don’t know why I didn’t get it sooner. I’m going to do a video and show you how I use it. I use the 1.25 barrel that comes with it, but you can purchase different size barrels. If you have shorter hair, the 1.5 might work better to create softer curls.

Did you find any new favorites this week?

Don’t forget to sign up for my Essential Oils 101 class! I would love to chat with you tomorrow morning.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m on FacebookPinterest, and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~“Give me back the joy that comes from being saved by you. Give me a spirit that obeys you. That will keep me going.” Psalm 51:12

Have you ever lost your joy? Sometimes life can be difficult and before we know it, we’ve lost our joy. If this happens then pray for it to be restored. He will be faithful!

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi Cyndi. After you and your sister did the online EO class together, I went in and signed up, but I clicked the wrong type of membership. I clicked the one for retail instead of wholesale. I don’t know how to change it so I can then go in and pick the kit and everything, plus order with the discount. I wish I could just delete it and start over. Can you help? Thank you!

  2. Hi Cyndi, our small group used that book last winter. I LOVED it. More Christians should practice this and we could love more into the family. I’ve never known anyone hated in! I also think he’s right, we shouldn’t expect everyone to be like us. Every chapter was more interesting than the last. His sense of humor cracks me up!

  3. Thanks for sharing your favourites. I just picked up a herbal tea, Lemon Ginger to try today. I haven’t had tea in 17 years. I was a big tea drinker but lets just say I had tea with my sugar. Ha! Looking to try something new as I miss that warm cup of tea every so often and I don’t drink coffee or lattes. Pretty boring.. LOL. I’m looking for a new spring /summer watch. Something other than my sliver and rose gold tones. Will you be showing us anytime soon? Would love to see what your showing first. Also just bought myself a pair of high low hem jeans today. Got them at Old Navy as I’m sure they are a trend and won’t last for too long. Great Price.
Have a great weekend and hope your painting was fun.

  4. Thank you for the book recommendation — I just finished Daring Greatly by Brene Brown; this read was a life changer for me! Thank you for the other recommendations too!

  5. Cyndi, Thanks for sharing some of your favorite picks. I often try products when you share them and am never disappointed. I’m a tea gal also and will definitely look for this tea as it sounds so good. Love lavender in anything. I will also try ordering the book for my Kindle. I’m currently reading Seven Lessons from Heaven, by Mary C Neal, M.D. which is amazing.

I so appreciate and look forward to your daily post. Keep up the good work and hope you will share some of what you learn from the health coach friends at lunch.
    Blessings.

  6. I just ordered “Unoffendable” and I’m looking forward to reading it. Anything that will help reduce stress in my life will be greatly appreciated! The Jane Iredale powder looks like a good thing to use especially in the summer since it has 20 SPF and is water resistant. Thanks for sharing your favorite things! You have great taste, Cyndi!

  7. Hi Cyndi!! Just stopping to say “Hi” and know that I cannot miss a day of reading your blog! Have a wonderful weekend, girlie!! And a wonderful weekend to all your readers as well!!!!

  8. Thanks Cyndi! Have fun painting today. I am also a tea gal and will look for this next time I am in the store. I am also interested in the powder and may have to do some research on that.

  9. Has anyone here used Overtone hair products in silver? I’ve let my hair go to natural gray, and looking for products to brighten / intensify the silver shine. I do use one of the “purple ” shampoos to counteract any yellow. Thanks!

  10. I have read Unoffendable and I LOVED it! It made me look at things in a different light. I bought my daughter a copy of it for Christmas and she said it has really made a difference in the way she approaches certain situations. I always look forward to your posts!

  11. I need this book, not only for myself, but for my husband. He’s quite the dramatic personality (LOL, yes, I’ve told him), he watches the news in the evening and then stays mad/angry for hours. He will even say “I have to turn this off, I CANNOT watch and listen to anymore of this”. But he never turns it off. Maybe this would be a good read for him :). Being angry (at something) seems to be in his genes because his mother and sister have the same personality – maybe a good read for them too :).
Thanks for all the suggestions – I like knowing what people are trying and liking – very helpful!

  12. Thanks for the update on products! All our curling things are expensive – LOL! Right now my hair has been changing for the last year & a half. I have what looks like a body wave and can add product & do curly look or blow dry straight with round brush. It is cut in a short to medium bob with bangs that are down and sideswept. I touch up my curly in the spots less defined with a curlingwand. The product Pure0logy curl complete my hair stylist recommended makes it more curly on the sides where it wasn’t before so love that stuff. I also bought Pureology curl complete shampoo to use when I decide to do curly days. Jane Iredale is a favorite of mine but right now am hooked on Revision Tinted Intellishade Moisturizer which is a sunscreen & adjusts the color to your own skintone. I use the Matte so its not greasy. That curling iron looks awesome and will try the tarte product you recommended.

  13. First of all, thanks for the great verse this morning…Psalm 51is my favorite chapter! Second, I’d like to sign up for your EO class, but will be out of town tomorrow morning. Is this something I can watch at a later time?

  14. Thanks for sharing all these great items.
I’m going to add the book to my list. I love hearing about what you’re reading along with all the beauty & fashion. Have a wonderful weekend! Blessings!

  15. Hey Cyndi….quick question regarding intermittent fasting. You mentioned in this post that you fast until lunchtime. May I ask what time you typically get up? I would love to try this, but I get up at 4:15. Afraid I’ll fall out or bite somebody by then LOL.

    1. I’ve been doing 8/16 for quite some time and the eight hours of eating can be any eight hours of the day that you choose, although my coach advises finishing up two hours before bedtime. I also get up at around 4:15 daily to get to a 5 a.m. exercise class and the eight hour period that works for me is 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

  16. What fun and varied favorites you have! I’ve read a little bit of Unoffendable. It tickles me that the description you posted here includes part of a quotation from my friend Dallas Willard. One of the things that makes Dallas’s teaching so wonderful is that he really did practice what he preached. He lived a life in which he had let go of his right to be angry.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  17. Hi Cyndi, I tried to use the CR discount code “CYNDI20”, but it wouldn’t work. Do you know if it is still available to use? Thanks, Amy
