Lilly Pulitzer Shift Dress

This week has been all about the dresses! I shared this gorgeous turquoise one and this coral off the shoulder dress, and now it’s a casual Lilly Pulitzer shift dress.

I think this is my first Lilly Pulitzer dress ever. Erin sent this to me in my Trunk Box, and I knew I was going to love it. The colors are bright and cheery, and it has a UPF 50+ (ultraviolet protection factor) that protects against the sun’s harmful rays. How cool is that?

Lily Pulitzer Shift DressI tried to pack light, so I wore my Tory Burch sandals (this color is called makeup) a lot, and I wore the same Baublebar earrings I wore with the turquoise dress (use code graceandbeauty20 for 20% off sitewide at Baublebar through March 31st).

Lily Pulitzer Shift DressIf there is one trendy item to add to your spring and summer wardrobe, it’s the round handbag. This one is sold out (ugh!) but this one is similar, and it’s less expensive.

Lily Pulitzer Shift DressI wore this dress all day on the cruise ship (I had meetings with Young Living on the days we were at sea), and it was so comfortable. This dress will be great to wear all spring and summer!

Make sure you head over to Jo-Lynne’s blog and see what she’s styling for spring fashion!

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m on FacebookPinterest, and my favorite one, Instagram.

  1. Fun fact: It’s actually spelled Lilly* not Lily. I thought it was just a typing error until every single word was Lily…

      1. Lol, I saw. And I am just glad the writer fixed the whole page. I found it a little hard to believe someone couldn’t spell the name right even when the tag shows it correctly and inside the dresses. Like, the woman has passed, at least Google the right way to spell it.

        1. Well, in Cyndi’s defense, lots of people spell it like that. Maybe autocorrect is to blame. It’s still understood what brand it is 🙂

  2. The dress is adorable! I have seen her dresses too & I think we have some in petite or xs in Stein Mart come in. Will have to try one. You look fabulous! Happy Easter!

  3. I love this Lily dress! I’ve never had one either. My trunk stylist is Erin as well! Maybe because I mentioned you in my coorespndance? 😀. I’ll have to ask her to send me a Lily dress and Tory sandals too! Love it! Happy Easter!

  4. Fun fact: Lilly Pulitzer hides her name in every Lilly print. Look for the hidden “lilly” in the pattern, they can be hard to find!

  5. Love the dress on you. Just so bright and pretty for your cruise. I ordered the one t shirt dress you styled but thinking about the turquoise one also. This one a little too high priced. I’m sure paying for the Sun protection in it which is neat. I would love those sandals, as both you and Jo-Lynne style them and say how much you like them, but do they ever go on sale? I am having Easter also but just 5 of us, so low key. My other 2 kids and spouses can’t make it. Happy Easter to you. 🙂

  6. So, so pretty! This dress looks so nice
on you and so refreshing after darker
    clothes for so long.
I started using Mindwise and I love
    it!!
    Have a blessed evening!!

  7. I love the dress and as usual you look so pretty. I do like LP…the colors and patterns are beautiful. However, just too pricey. Too many other beautiful options out there for a colorful and comfortable shift dress…..at much more budget friendly prices. Glad you had a wonderful time on the cruise. Good luck with your house hunting!

  8. Cindy – I must have missed some posts – I thought you just bought a new house last year? Im confused?

Anyway – your dress is adorable.

  9. I love that dress! Happy, Spring colors. Love the cut too! I have enjoyed all these dresses you have shared. I love dresses, and can’t wait to wear them. As always, looking beautiful, Cyndi! 🤗

  10. Love all the dresses you have been sharing this week. It really makes me want summer to be here, never mind spring! All of them look amazing on you and I love all the bright colors.

    Thanks Cyndi!

  11. I love Lily! I have a couple pairs of LP shorts. One pair is a colorful Lily print, but my favorite ones are the scalloped hem white shorts. I receive compliments every time I wear the white ones!

  12. Cute dress! I see lots of Lily Pulitzer around since I live in the south. I really only see myself wearing it to special events or on a cruise. Seems perfect for cruisewear.

I’m curious. What ports did you stop at on your cruise? I love cruising too and I’m heading on a Cuba cruise this fall.

  13. So cool that you met with YL. I am also a YL distributor. Just getting my biz off the ground in light of losing job. Started using the oils a year ago after having had pneumonia twice in one year.

    Love the dress!

Totally different question: do you use your self tanner on your neck? If so, how do you apply it?

I ordered one of the Organic ones (I followed your link to the one Organic one on Amazon and found a different one that some folks were raving about) – decided to go for it. I have always used self tanner on legs and occasionally arms b/c generally I get just enough sun on face, neck , arms and shoulders…but with the extended cold this spring – getting a late start on this pasty skin.

  14. I really have enjoyed the dresses you have been sharing. I wear a lot of dresses in the Spring/Summer. I bought an adorable spring dress to wear to church Easter Sunday, however it’s only going to be around 43 degrees here in Ohio. Eeekkk. Have a blessed Easter!!

  15. Looks like you had a wonderful cruise, and you look so cute in these dresses. I don’t have the legs for them, but wish I did. I have always loved Lilly Pulitzer, but mostly from afar. Jo-Lynne used a phrase the other day….she said we need to think about selecting things for the “fashion culture” where we live. I think that’s why I don’t have any LP clothes–they’d stand out in an awkward way in my area, which is more gritty in atmosphere, and where a lot of people are dealing with low incomes, so I tend to make more subtle choices in casual looks. But I do so love the prints and colors, and am excited to see you model this dress. I can dream…..!

    1. I also live in a mostly impoverished small town and I have gained quite a bit of weight and don’t like the way my legs look (cellulite!). I solved that problem with leggings from Leggings Depot (I found them on Amazon and love them!) I am so happy Lily makes beautiful clothing in my size, which is XL. I plan on wearing my Lily to church for Easter. I LOVE your dress, BTW!

  16. Thanks for sharing all these beautiful dresses this week, its helping me to prepare for our summer weather. I love the dress your sharing today, but just a little steep when I visit the Nordstrom Canada site. Its $173.00 for me plus the shipping etc. but I always look for something similar if I can. I will definitely be checking out those cut sandals while in Florida in May. I have a trip to the grocery store today as well, as I’m hosting Easter turkey dinner here with 12 on Sunday. Tomorrow we have a dinner invite to our friends to share in their family turkey dinner and there will be about 25 of us …. so lots of turkey this weekend . Ha… Hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter as we remember not only the crucifixion of our lord and saviour but that he rose again and lives today.
    Happy Easter
    Karen

  17. I just purchased my first Lilly Pulitzer piece at the thrift store last fall for $1. It’s a sleeveless blouse, so I just tried layering it over a white blouse on Instagram!! The colors are so spring like, that I couldn’t wait!!
I always love that you enjoy wearing dresses so much Cyndi!!
    And have a blessed Easter.
    XOXO

  18. This outfit is perfection! In my opinion, there is nothing like the beautiful colors of Lilly. I love the Tory Burch sandals and the darling bag. I think those sandals will be a purchase I will be making soon. 😊
