Happy Tuesday ladies! I am always on the lookout for the perfect black pant, and I think I have found them. While I don’t work outside the home, I do need dress pants.
Black pants are a staple piece in my wardrobe, so I will spend a little more money on them. These don’t go out of style, and if they’re a quality piece, they should last for years.
These are JCrew black pants, and I purchased them from Nordstrom. They’re stylish and flattering for every season. They’re cropped (and not too skinny), higher-waisted, and have perfectly positioned pockets.
I’m a huge fan of Sam Edelman shoes, and these nude pumps have the perfect heel height with a scalloped strap. If you don’t want to spend this much on a heel, Target has some adorable heels and a better price point. These are a great option.
This time of year I like to pop a lot of colors. After a cold, dreary winter (and spring), I need color people! This blouse also comes in plus size.
My earrings are 40% off, and I wear these all the time, have you noticed?

I love gel polish too! I hear that you should give you nails a break from the gel after a few manicures. Do you wear gel polish all the time? Do you wear it on your toes too?

Hey – I love this look! Pink and black are one of my favorite combinations in any season. By the way, the pink and gray outfit you posted last week would be perfect for work- at least for me. I bought the pink pants but the gray tops were already out by the time I got around to ordering the next day . I plan to order this hot pink top and I bought the pink earrings over the weekend . 😉

Great outfit. I have a go to black pair of pants also and couldn’t imagine not having them in my closet to go to when I’m not sure what to wear. Can pair them with almost any top. Love the bright pink color you pair yours with.
Congrats on the new home and the move soon. I moved into my dream retirement home about 6 years ago and still love it. Will be here forever.

Everything about this outfit is perfect! That top is lovely with the nipped in waist. The cropped black pants, the nude heels all come together beautifully.

This is a great work outfit! I love Sam Edleman shoes too! They are a little more but they really last and I’d rather buy 1 really good pair that is comfortable like Sam’s are than 2 pr that hurt my feet and fall apart. When my feet hurt, everything hurts! I’d love to see you talk about colors! I am very fair skinned so the shade of pink matters for me (and peach is pretty much out!). The Hot pink definitely suits you!
My colleagues and I (all teachers) joke about our “uniform” of black pants. It’s just too easy to pair them with any top and go. My favorite combination is black with royal blue. I have a friend who looks beautiful in black and pink. I look forward to your devotional each day. God bless.

Well shoot, I just wore a brand new pair of Julie fit black pants from Loft or I would try these. Pedicures with Courtney will be fun! I took my daughter over spring break and we got our fingers done. Cyndi, have you tried the dipped (SNS) polish yet? I went in back in October to get gel on my nails before our trip to Hawaii. The girl talked me into trying the dipped and I LOVE IT! According to her it’s better for your nails AND it DOES NOT PEEL the way gel will. I think she typically does just 2 coats on most people but I get 3 because I was cracking them with 2. I go a month in between manicures. (granted they really need to be done after 3 weeks, but I stretch it). Anyway, you might really like it. Enjoy your day! XO

I’m craving color, too, Cyndi! I saw that neons are making a comeback this Spring! Neon green is one of my favorites. I have about 5 different gel polishes that I rotate— and they are all various shades of nude! That way , I dont have to change my nail color when I change outfits. Lol..

I think you’re right Cyndi. Black pants are the go-to for so many women especially for dressing up if they don’t wear skirts anymore. Since I grew up with a mom who wore dresses & skirts all the time (and still does even in her 80’s), I don’t wear these as much, but of course I have a pair, just in case!!!
