Tie Front Blouse + Slip-On Sneakers

Welcome to spring in Kentucky! I think it’s finally arrived and I’m ready for spring clothes. Today I’m styling a tie-front blouse with slip-on sneakers.

Tie Front Blouse + Slip-On Sneakers

If you haven’t noticed, tie front tops are trending this spring. Tie-front tops are perfect for spring and summer, and I think they look best with high-waisted jeans or shorts.

Tie Front Blouse + Slip-On SneakersI’m wearing Madewell high waisted jeans with a tulip hem. These jeans are regularly $128, but they are 30% off.

Tie Front Blouse + Slip-On SneakersI wear my Steve Madden black sneakers all the time, but I wanted a tan color of sneakers. I recently purchased these Halogen sneakers, and I love them! They run true to size.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m on FacebookPinterest, and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~I don’t know about you all, but stress can sometimes get the best of me. My to-do list is long, and then there’s always those unexpected things that pop up.

In Luke 10:41b -42a Jesus says this, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed.” He was talking to Martha, but He might as well be talking to me. Jesus is reminding us to slow down and sit at His feet.

Have a blessed day!

  1. I love your comments about sitting at Jesus’ feet too! That is the MOST important kind of beauty…What Jesus sees in our HEARTS!

  2. I don’t currently have any light pink tops, but I am a complete sucker for anything fuchsia and also pink shoes and sandals. I am just drawn to it and have been since I was a little girl! My mother let me get a pink pair of leather shoes for school one year.

  3. I love the outfit and it looks so
pretty in front of the scenery, isn’t
such a beautiful time of year and
    colors are so inviting.
Hope you get everything done and
take time to enjoy the weekend!
    Have a blessed evening!!

  4. Omg I need this top! My daughter talked me into buying light pink converse yesterday and last night I realized I didn’t know how to style them and thought I would take them back but this top would be cute with them. I never thought at 57 I would be wearing converse again lol…Congrats on the new house.

  5. Do you find the high raise jeans to fit weird in the crotch area? I still prefer the mid raise. So Sorry to hear about you getting hit while taking your father-in-law to the doctor. I’m so glad you are all safe. I could relate on the care giving. Started with my mother-in-law and all her apts. etc. and now my mom. It can be difficult, but God honors the time we spend with them. Have a good weekend. Glad your weather is finally going to be nice. We just had mid 80’s for a few days……crazy for us on NW Coast but the clouds are back today and the rain is coming for the weekend. BUT……I see sun again coming next week. Yeah!!!

    1. I agree about the fit of the jeans. Actually it’s a rare jan that conforms to an actual person’s body as the prototype is made for a very different body type than the average Amaerican. Cyndi that is horrible about the accident. I hope you all overcome the emotional aspect, as well.
Please keep your old photo. You look so beautiful and natural in it. Your radiate beauty and health. Your eyebrows and hair are perfect. The colour of both suits your face and the shape of the brows is less “one size fits all”, but mainly less harsh. Please keep it somewhere as it’s inspired me for quite some time.

  6. I would love some slip on sneakers, but most of them are too wide for me. I do love my Converse Shorelines though and they fit well. I’ve noticed the tie front shirts trending too. As a matter a fact two ladies showed up to bible study in the exact same one yesterday. One was tall and the other super petite and they both looked so cute!!! (I should have taken their picture!) Happy weekend. Can’t wait to see the new house!!! XO

    1. I had the same problem with slip-on sneakers and just found some at Kohl’s that work. They are Dr. Scholl’s. I literally bought them yesterday and have them on today and so far love them. They have memory foam in them and are not stiff. You might take a look.

  7. Love those sneakers. Going to check them out. This whole outfit looks so comfy and perfect for a casual Saturday. I do hope you have a great weekend, Cyndi!

  8. Such a cute outfit and yes wear pink it’s a great color on you:) I just re did my closet yesterday for me and hubby to finally switch the season of clothes around (since the weather has finally warmed up) and I have a tie front white eyelet blouse 🤗. I also love sneaker shoes you can’t have too many but you do have to get the comfy ones and may need a bit of breaking in.
    Have a great weekend

Ps by the way your BFTH and scripture verse are spot on! and on a busy day like I have today it’s a reminder that I needed.😀

  9. Thank goodness for this gorgeous weather in Kentucky!! I love your outfit, especially the shoes. Every pair of shoes I have purchased that you styled on your blog fits me, so I may have to try these! 🙂

  10. Cyndi, You are just gorgeous and that background with your pink top is stunning! I think you should wear pink for your headshot tomorrow, its definitely YOUR color! Blessings!

  11. Wonderful outfit! So spring casual and put together. You look beautiful.

What a relief knowing I can give up the stress, thanks for the reminder.

Please help me find some jeans. I am 5’4 and fall in-between petite and regular. I am about 135 pounds. I love high rise thicker jeans that are skinny style but not too skinny like leggings. Can you recommend a brand?

  12. I’d love feedback after wearing these cute shoes for a day of running around. I find that every single pair of this style of shoe is different – I have some Kenneth cole reaction ones that I LOVE but then another style of same brand feels different. its the rubbing of the heel that I’m always worried about.

    1. I have these Halogen slip ons in a different color and have had them for about a year. I also have another style of slip ons so I know what you mean about each brand wearing differently. This Halogen brand is very comfortable and they also breathe well. I did have an issue with a blister one time when I did not wear footies, so I make it a point to wear some sort of no show sock when I wear these. I like that these have a bit of height to them.

    2. I, too, am curious on feedback from others. I really love the look so I bought a pair of Madden. They seem stiff (and make my feet look big)! I only wear them when I don’t plan to walk much. I bought my normal 7 1/2, but in all honesty probably should have exchanged them for a 7.

      1. the ones I bought that I totally love are the Kenneth cole reaction salt n pepa ones (not the calf hair but just normal black leather/leatherlike material). I bought true to size and there is absolutely NO rubbing at all and I could wear all day walking. Sad part is I can’t find exact pair anywhere – I got mine on clearance from carnival of shoes a couple years back. the only ones I see on resale sites or even new are ones with calf hair and they are weird looking and NOT the same fit go figure.

  13. I LOVE this outfit! So cool and comfy looking – and stylish!

And what’s wrong with pink for your headshot photo? 😉 LOL. Wear whatever color you love! 😊

I love the BFTH! You keep giving scriptures that “talk” to me. I’m so guilty of letting stress get the better of me. I’m kind of OCD and when things aren’t just right it bothers me. I need to remember that God has it all under control and I’m better off relying on Him and just sit at His feet.
