How to Style Wide Leg Cropped Pants

Happy Friday ladies! For quite some time I’ve wanted to style wide leg cropped pants. I have seen them everywhere this spring.

I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this wide leg cropped pant on at Old Navy. I wore them all day, and they don’t stretch out, and I love the pink color. They do come in several different colors including white.

The key to wearing wide leg cropped pants is to wear a shorter top or tuck it in. This pineapple blouse has a cinched waist which works well with these pants.

I have been carrying my straw bag as my everyday bag. I added a Victoria Emerson bracelet. I love these bracelets because it’s one piece, but it looks like I’m wearing several bracelets. It also has a magnetic closure which makes it easy to put on and take off.

  1. Came across your Pinterest blog this morning ……so amazingly uplifting and inspirational. God bless you xx

  2. I love the pineapple blouse! So cute. Do you have to wear something under it? I was wondering if it is see through. Love your blog!

  3. I just checked out the Old Navy web site to order a pair of these and they look so much cuter on you then models on the web site, and your right a heel completes the look

  4. You look cool and summery! I just ordered 3 summer crop pants and one was a light pink also. I work in an over 55 community and notice that when I wear my skinny jeans and pants they look at me as if I’m wearing a swimsuit so I thought I would change it up a bit. This outfit would be perfect for me to wear but not sure if the wide leg works for petites?

  5. Cute pants! I shop Old Navy with my daughter & the Gap too. I have some Old Navy cropped flare jeans I bought at the end of summer on sale last year & love them! Recently I bought gray girl friend modern cropped chinos at Loft for regular price on Monday this week – $69 but later in the week I was at Outlet Mall & at Gap found khaki colored slim city cropped chinos on sale for $14.99 so grabbed them since regular price was $49.99. Thought I would wear jeans less this summer since that is usually my staple- LOL! Gotta switch it up 🙂 You look amazing in your cute outfit. 🙂

  6. Cyndi…..are the pineapples white stitched or cream like they show in your post close up? Thanks.

  7. Super cute outfit! I loved these pants in the 70s, though I was a little girl! They were called gouchos back then. Just out of curiosity, do you have those shoes in two colors or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

  8. PS My goodness….I just looked at the Old Navy sight for the cropped pants. They look totally different on you. You make them look so much cuter. They don’t look as wide leg on you. I would never have thought of ordering them off the sight. Great look on you.

  9. I have those wide leg crops in the pink and olive colors and love them! I like to wear them with a silky tank and denim jacket. I wear them with ballet flats and think they work, too. Glad to see something besides the skinny jeans look this season!

  10. Great BFTH….I needed that this morning. I was struggling, then turned on the news and heard about the Texas shooting. Its all so overwhelming. Blessings to you as you go to your mothers grave. I was just thinking about my dads grave and when I was going to go up and clean the stone and put flowers on it. Usually I do on Memorial weekend but we will be gone those 3 days. Love your outfit. You look just so fresh and cute. I have similar pants you styled last year, but they are a little more straight leg….not skinny or wide. They are the blush/pink color also and I’m going to wear them and a lace loft sleeveless top you styled last year too to a bridal shower tomorrow. They look like brand new still. I love the pineapples on the blouse. You can’t even see them on Old Navy’s sight. With rayon, does it wrinkle easily? Thanks for all you do to keep us update. 🙂 Blessing for your day. Could you update us on Courtney? Doesn’t she go in for C-section soon. Prayers her way.

  11. Love this, Cyndi! Aren’t pineapples big this year?! And I like that this blouse just has them embroidered in the same color thread. A little pineapple goes a long way! I’m posting a wide leg crop pants outfit next week, too. And I’m surprised at how much I liked them when I tried them on. I had shied away from them before.

Have a blessed and beautiful weekend!

  12. Excellent beauty for the heart!!! I have been working on this. Pause instead of regret. Give the Holy Spirit time to work.

Thank you for your blog and especially sharing your faith.

  13. You are so lucky to be the height you are! These wide leg pants at the length you are wearing them, make my legs look even shorter than they are LOL Cute look on you though. Good luck with the unpacking. I know all about that….

  14. I look forward to your email everyday Cyndi. You have taught me so much! I especially LOVE your heart for Jesus! I love the wide leg pants. Due to a bad leg I always wear flats. Online I see the wide leg pants being styled with flats. I do not want to look frumpy. Your suggestions are appreciated. 😆

    1. Thank you so much! If you can’t wear heels then I understand. I always think even the slightest heel looks best with this style of pant.

  15. This is such a great summer look, Cyndi!!
I love the idea of the shirt being tucked, or elastic like yours. I think when we leave them untucked or longer than our crotch, it skews the proportions….
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  16. That is super cute! and although I’m not supposed to wear scoop neck shirts (long neck-ha!) that one is so cute, I may have to look in to that. That would be a cute outfit for work since we don’t have a very “dressy” dress code, and also a good church look too.
That bracelet is my kind of bracelet! good look, easy on/off :).

  17. LOVE this outfit! So much that I just ordered the top and the cropped pants in the Arugula color!! I have pink crops and pink jeans so I thought the green would also transition well into fall! I’m glad the wider legs are coming back in trend but you do have to be careful that they don’t look too wide.
Enjoy your new home and have a great weekend!!
