Welcome to Cyndi Spivey

Hello ladies! My blog (Cyndi Spivey) is finally up and running. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience of switching over to my new design, but it takes a little bit of time when you’ve been blogging for nine years, and I have lots of content.

I’m so excited to share my new design with you and share about some of the features. Let me begin by saying we have some tweaks to make so if something isn’t working yet, be patient, we will get it fixed.

I also want to add a little more color so that will happen over the next few days and the font is too light for me so, we will darken it.

SALE ALERT (50%OFF)>>Tie Sweater (I’m wearing an XS)//Wit & Wisdom Jeans (I’m wearing a size 28)//Earrings//Sam Edelman Heel in Classic Nude (TTS)

Why did you rebrand to Cyndi Spivey?

First things first, nothing is going to change about what I share. I will still talk about my faith (grace) and fashion, makeup, fitness, etc. (beauty).

I switched to my name for several reasons, but the main one is because there was a site with the Grace and Beauty URL that is a porn site. It’s under construction right now, but when it comes back, I’m assuming it will still have that content.

Many women have said they googled Grace and Beauty and found that site, not my blog. Ugh! My URL has always been cyndispivey.com, so it made sense to rename my blog to Cyndi Spivey. Also, if I ever have the opportunity to have a clothing line I want to use my name.

Okay, about the new design…many of you asked if I would change the comment section so that you didn’t have to scroll through all the comments to write your comment. That box is at the top, and I hope it works better for you.

When you come to my blog, you will see my latest posts at the very top. There are three small dots (see the arrow below), and you can click on each one to see my three latest posts.

You might see this in my sidebar, but it’s going to change to Currently Loving. I will keep this box updated with items I’m wearing or using that week.

Another cool feature is the boxes beside my picture. If you click the top one the items I’m featuring in that post will pop out (see picture below).

These are the items in that post.

If you click the second box you can pin the picture, email someone the post, share it on facebook or twitter.

Here is what it looks like when you click it. I always appreciate any shares on my posts!

We will be working on getting everything fixed today, and I’m so glad it’s going to be ready for tomorrow since Jo-Lynne, and I begin our 21 Days of Summer Fashion. Can’t wait!

I think that’s about it, let me know if you have any questions and what you think about the new design. I want it to work for you, and I’m hoping it’s easy to navigate.

I’m so honored that you have taken time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19

When I was thinking about my “new” design for some reason, this verse came to my mind. It has nothing to do with blogging, but it’s a good reminder that God is always ready to do something new in our lives.

If you are in a difficult season (and believe me, I’ve been there), God is promising to get you through it. He’s making a way. He is giving you everything you need if you are in the desert.

I’m so thankful I serve a God that doesn’t let me stay in that pit. He is faithful friends!!

Have a blessed day!

  1. As a showy binding, made for the illiterate, the woman adorns herself. But it is a mystical book and few, to whom such grace is allowed, are allowed to read it.

  2. Isaiah 43:19 is such a beautiful scripture. It tells us one of the many wonderful ways that God shows his love, grace, aND provision. Thanks for sharing it with us.
    Love your blog!

  3. Love the new design! Ihave been following for over a year and I love your style! I also love the way you connect with your family about every day life. Thank you again for sharing!

  4. i LOVE THE NEW BLOG, AND SORRY, i’VE BEEN
VERY BUSY AND DIDN’T GET TO SAY CONGRATULATIONS
ON THE NEW ARRIVAL IN YOUR FAMILY AND PRAYING
THAT YOUR fATHER IN LAW IS DOING BETTER!!
hAVE A BLESSED EVENING AND WEEKEND!!

  5. Glad you are able to CHANGE. Weird about all caps though. I know you are still working ON it. Glad you are back, enjoy your blog.

  6. Love it…but the font is too small for over 50 eyes!!! Please enlarge or I may have to stop reading.

  7. I love the look! I don’t know why the trend in templates is to make text links very light, but I find it very difficult to read posts when key words virtually disappear. If there is a way to make the link color darker, that would be very helpful. (Also not a fan of the all caps comment writing.)

  8. I agree wtih the others about darkening the font and making the font bigger (its coming across as 8 size as I type this)…. not sure why its all in large CAp either.

Totally understanding renaming your blog and look forward to seeing your own personal clothing line come to fruition! That is something for us to look forward to. You always have such great taste!

Congratulations on your new baby granddaughter! Blessings to you and your family. hope your daughter is recovering from surgery.

  9. I would love to see the font larger and darker on your new site. the grey is calming, but frustrating me to read your words. i would hate to miss something ,but after awhile i would honestly give up reading, if the font stayed so light. plus do we have an archive section for your old site? i would think you would like to keep all of your past postings for the readers to look back to and reference . just my thoughts, and congrats on all your new beginnings!!

    1. lol…. so why is the typing all in caps, but comes out in lower case??? So odd….hoping that changes!

    1. Sorry for the tYpos!… It should read “ excited to see you continue to flourish with your blog”

  10. Just want to say i love the new site! I have followed you for yeaRs, i think we’re aBout the same age (over 50 haha). I love the clothes and fashion but every day i scroll to the bottom to read your message. Never faIls that there is a message or scripture that i needed to see and truly touches me. Your work really touches people and you are such a blessing! Keep it coming! Thank you for all you do! Renee

  11. Just want to say i love the new site! I live in tacoma washinGton. Renee

  12. love it..You look amazing in your post I love seeing all the new FASHIONS for the sessions. cant wait to see some pics of your new house. Tell wayne hello.

  13. Is there still a way to view your older posts from Grace and Beauty? I like to reread them for clothing inspiration. would love a bigger font too please!

  14. I GUESS CHANGE IS GOOD, BUT I DID LIKE gRACE AND beauty. i JUST LOVE GETTING YOUR EMAILS. i AM FINE WITH THE NEW BLOG .

  15. I love the new design! the new features look easy to use. I would like to say a big “thank you” to you again for the rack room shoes gift card that i won! I went shopping there over the memeorial day weekend and got four pairs of shoes! I hope you have found your box of shoes!

  16. I love your blog and my old eyes definitely would appreciate your darkening the font. Please excuse my all caps. I think the caps key must be stuck.

  17. The changes look amazing!! You have bEen an inspiration and are one of the reasons my sisters and i started our blog. Your kind spirit shines through in all you Do

  18. I have a question – and trust your opinion! I am 58 – 5’3 and going to a shania twain concert with my daughter this weekend. I would like to possibly wear my cowboy boots which are ariat, square toe and they come up to half calf. I don’t know how to style these! Help! I dress very closely to your style and like your choices very much! Any tips?

  19. Cyndi, love the new look. Enjoy all you Teach me about fashion and faith.
Congratulations on your GRAND baby, there is nothing better than those snuggles.. BLESSINGS

  20. Very nice, I love the logo with the C and S that looks like a flower! The photo of you on the main page, where it says Meet Cyndi, it looks a little pixelated to me while the other pictures look fine.

    1. P.S. Not a fan of the ALL CAPS while you are typing your comment. Can’t tell if I make a mistake until after it’s posted.

  21. Love your new site! Did you ever find the box with your shoes?
Have a blessed afternoon Cyndi, you’re such an inspiration! 🙂

  22. I adore the new design! Thank you for thinking of us 50-something ladies with not quite as keen eyes 🙂 A darker font will be awesome. Have a great day!

  23. Love the new look. So sorry you had to change the name, which I loved. Could you please post the link to the baby blanket again. It was on the old blog so I can’t get to it.
    Thanks

  24. Thank you for Explaining the reasons for changes to Your blog. I enjoy fashion but always look for the “beauty for the heart” at the end!

  25. A very user friendly site. I like it all except the tiny, faint print.
I hEar you have a new GRANDDAUGHTER. You are truly blessed.

  26. Love the new design but definitely need a darker larger font! ( For us older girls!)

  27. Great new look. Am i missing the place to look thru the archives? I like to go to other years too. Its how i learned aBout you and yOur family two years ago when i found your blog. Or was it three? :). I wanted to read mOre on your sweet mama. THANKS FOR sharing your faith. Main reaSon i stuck with you and your BlOg, next to your love of fashion for us ladies in our 50’s. 28. Love your new look and love your blog. Ps. I’m not shouting at you either! Can’t stop the caps lock 🙂

  29. Cyndi,
I love the new design, although I agree the fonts could be darker and maybe, at least here in the comments section, bigger? I know I’m not the only over 40 (ok, over 50) reader with less than perfect vision!!

Congratulations on your new granddaughter and new home!
(Not sure why I can’t do anything but all caps? LOOKS LIKE NO one else had that problem.)

  30. Your new site looks wonderful! I love looking at different blog designs. The whole process of blogging has taught me that designing websites is something I might have really enjoyed. I just don’t know how to write computer code!! The internet was not even around when I was in college – LOL!

    https://www.dressedinfaith.com

  31. yOur new site looks great! I’m not shouting at you, I cant get My phone to not do caps! Looking forward to the summer fashion series with you and Jo-Lynne!😀

  32. I do not know why this is all in caps though?? I tried a few times to make sure my caps lock was not on??
Anyway, hope you have a blessed day!!

  33. Yesterday when I cLicked from e-mail to your post I got nothing but your logo. So I am still wondering where to shop for that wonderful baby blanket!
Also, could you consider making the font size larger as well as darker.? Some things are difficult to read.
    Thank you!

  34. Congratulations on your new siTe, lovely new home and precious new granddaughter! You are an inspiration of Fitness, fasHion, family and most importantly faith. I love your blog and all that you stand for! Many thanKs and blessings ❤️

  37. Looks good so far. Maybe a few tweeks And it will be good to gO. I really like the new features where we can easily pin or share pics. Looking forward to the summer series with Jo-LyNn.

  38. Beautiful redesign and I love your new logo. None of the links work and the shoppable items from your profile pic are covering your face in the top picture. Maybe it’s all part of the work you’re still doing but wanted to let you know just in case. Keep up the good work!

  39. Love It!! Super smart to use your own name, especially if you have plans for a clothing line it in the future! Yay! Best of luck and many blessings for you going forward!!

    Lynn

  40. I love the new content, it is quite chic. I can’t believe how thin you are. You have lost so much weight. I’m trying to get inspired by you. Haha

  41. Cyndi or readers:
Do we have a way to turn off all these ads? I keep closing them out with the x; however more and more pop-up. I’ve tried truing off the pop-ups and that too is not working. will welcome any suggestions. Other than that, I love the new look!

  42. Love it!!!!! I have been enjoying your blog 5 years now and wis i had found you before then!! you are such an INSPIRATION to me!!!!

  43. I know that you are working on the darkness of the font. Thank you.
Perhaps you will consider the size also. It is awfully small to read for those who are farsighted.

    Enjoy your day.

  44. I love the look of your updated blog!
one suggestion would be for the bible verse to be in a different color, or font, or set off in some way. Otherwise, it reads like it is you speaking (that’s what I thought when I read it – cyndi is about to do something new lol).
    the site looks very nice!

  45. I really like the new design and i cant wait to see All the things that are to come .
    Have a great day !!!!
    Diana

  46. You’re doing great. Change is hard sometimes because it can ruffle feathers but cindi, you have always been amazing with your style and gracious way about you.

I know new website is crazy sometimes. Nice job!

  47. It looks really good. (Not sure why I’m in all caps, sorry) I like all the new pictures and the quatrafoil logo is very pretty.

  48. I think the new design will be terrific when you have everything set the way you want it! One quick question… is there any way to control the ads that pop up everywhere? There’s a large ad at the top and a couple along the right side. I thought I removed the top ad but it came back. It could be operator error! THanks!!

  49. I love it Cyndi! I had a perfect email address and started getting all kinds of porn on it. Had to stop using it so I can completely relate. We cannot have control over what is out there…

Your messages are an inspiration to my days!! Thank you so much!

  50. congratulations Cyndi!! Your new sIght looks great and Is easy to navigAte. Thank you for ShAring not only your great seNse of style, but yoUr heart and fAith, as well.

The beauty of the heart is particularly great for a season our family is in now. Daughters hsb has cBNCER THEY are needing to make some upgrades in his meds. it seems each time they do this there are some new challenges. knowing our father is walking us through this is really what keeps us going for we must be strong for her as well . it is always nice to have the confirmation from others that he is able.

  66. I love the new look! I think its always a goOd thing to refresh every so often. 😉

I love todays scripture and how in isAiah god reminds us how he is so faithful to us – even though we may have been DISOBEDIENT. God truly just wants to bless us and shower us with his grace and love.

  74. Hey friend. Of course I love the new design; it’s just beautiful! How cool that you’ve added new features to make it even easier to use.

Isn’t it amazing that all those years ago you changed your url to cyndispivey.com? god was watching out for you, as he always does. i’m so proud of the way you’ve worked to create this wonderful space for women to be encouraged not only to look their best but also to grow in their faith.
