Last summer it was all about cold shoulders, and some of you were not fans. This summer I see less cold shoulder and more embroidered tops, shorts, dresses, etc. I have to say I am a fan!
Y’all I love summer. I love the gorgeous weather, the green grass, and summer clothes. It’s all about “simple” when it comes to summer. I don’t wear a lot of jewelry, just a few pieces and that’s about it.
And boy do I love sandals! Yesterday I shared Sam Edelman sandals, but I mentioned these Old Navy sandals. They are less expensive, but they’re still comfortable. They only come in whole sizes, so I sized up 1/2 size.

Love the embroidered top. Yep, think these are cuter than the cold shoulder style!. Bought the Old Navy sandals in the warm tan and also gold in April – soooo glad I did. Enjoy the sweet baby girl.
So cute!! Is the trend for us older gals to be wearing 4” shorts? I bought a pair and feel like they are short!! Yikes! I don’t want to look like a youngster wanna be. What’s your thought? They are from JCrew and a super cute gingham fabric.

Cute cute and cute! When I glanced at your sandals I thought they were my recent purchase at Target, but no, very similar though. Your Old Navy ones are flat where the Target ones have a wedge. I favor a rise in my heel. Bought both the black and cognac. Two of my best summer purchases!

Love this outfit. I am ordering the shorts and a different black top as I cannot wear such a high neck top with my larger “girls”. Cannot wait for some warmer weather here to start wearing summer clothes.

Such a cute outfit, Cyndi. I like the fact that the cold shoulder is taking a back seat although I did pick one up at the loft that is a tank but has an eyelet piece that covers the top part of the arm( I’m liking that). but I think that’s it for me. The embroidery look is so feminine I think I will need to check my closet and perhaps add a few for summer. Those shorts are super cute and you wear them well:) I was very sadden to hear of the loss of Kate Spade, who was such a fashion icon and I know will be deeply missed. My prayers have been with her family. Such a sad time. I absolutely love her line of handbags and accessories.
