Fall Shoe Trends for 2018

Happy Monday ladies! I promised to share some fall shoe trends with you so today we’re talking trends and styles you’ll be seeing this fall and winter.

There are so many cute styles to choose from this year during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I have to admit shoes are my weakness! I have grabbed several pairs, and I can’t wait to wear them.

First, let’s talk about booties. They have been on trend for several years, and they aren’t going anywhere this year.

Here are some of my favorite picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

Booties

Some of you might remember this picture from last year. I styled these white booties. Some of you loved them, but some of you thought they looked silly.  Well, silly or not, you’ll see white boots trending this fall and winter.

Fall Shoe Trends for 2018Here is a pair of booties I purchased from the sale.

Fall Shoe Trends for 2018Mules and slides have also been trending, and they are still popular.

Fall Shoe Trends for 2018Who doesn’t love a cute sneaker? Sneakers are perfect for fall whether you slip them on with a casual dress or wear them with a graphic tee and your favorite jeans.

A few more trends this year are silver/metallic shoes, pointy toe heels and slingbacks are still on trend.

I’m so honored that you have taken time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~The amazing thing is that throughout Scripture and history it seems God has chosen the most seemingly unlikely and unqualified people to fulfill his plan and purpose on the earth. Most often, the response of those people has been to insist on their own unworthiness. And if they don’t, the people around them may do so, loudly and shrilly. And therein lies a danger: If we allow other people to tell us what we are and are not qualified to do, we will limit what God wants to do with us. – Christine Caine

God has a plan for YOU! Don’t let the anyone tell you any different. No matter your past, no matter what you’ve done, God can use you.

If he can use me, he can use anyone!

Have a blessed day.

  1. Hi Cindy, I love your blog and have followed you for years. Unfortunately, a few months ago Yahoo I think out you to spam or something. I can’t figure out how to get you back😖

  2. I just found you on Pinterest yesterday. I have recently lost some weight and am going to update my clothes. I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to see Christian women doing blogs. I appreciate your blog and also you sharing about Jesus. God Bless!

  3. OMG…….what cute shoes! I am still living in my Volative & yellow Box flip flops right now. I put on a regular sandal with a heel if going somewhere but heat index is 105 just about everyday here with high humidity. Can’t wait to see all you come up with for Fall though!

  4. Hi Cyndi! I have not been receiving your emails! I checked spam and they are not going there either. So I tried to resubscribe but could not do that either! I miss your sweet spirit and fashion! Thanks! Pam

  5. I love the booties, but it’s just too hot in Central Florida to warrant buying them. I will have to look into the mules!

  6. As a teacher, though I love my job, I am still loving summer!! Some very cute shoes for fall. Hoping your heart is on the mend after your tough week!💕

  7. I too wish more styles of booties came in the lower heel. I find I have had to shop elsewhere to find the booty I am looking for in the cute styles. You always look great Cindy, thanks for keeping us informed on the up-and-coming trends such as white boots! Which reminds me when I was in my 20s I loved my white gogo boots That I pared with my white very short New Years dress. Lol

  8. Shoes are most definitely my weakness too! I have pruchased several pair already and still have more in my cart.

I have been eyeing a red pair of boots but not sure I would get enough use to make them worthwhile. It seems like there is a lot of red footwear in the sale, along with gray this year.

I am trying to decide on a white pair of booties now. Leaning towards an off white since several of my sweaters are off white. I think a stark white would be too much?

  9. Love the booties you purchased, so cute, but I wish they had the same style in lower heel. On a daily basis, I just can’t wear that high of a heel with comfort. Also, living in the Northwest, we get a lot of rainy Falls and so suede is hard. They get ruined easily and my dark jeans stain them. I have to make sure I roll my jeans or hope the cropped are high enough. I wish Nordstrom would put out more leather and shorter heel booties. That said, shoes are my weakness too. 🙂 I have one of the pair you featured today that I got last Fall when you featured them and the heel height is better and they are comfortable, but again are suede. This summer is going so fast. We will have Fall before we know it.

    1. Kathy, have you tried the Blondo waterproof booties? I got some in last year’s sale and they held up very well during our never ending winter in the Northeast.

  10. Love your outfit today… I must say I’m over buying summer clothes so time to rest the spending until new fall things start to appear(and they have lol). I’ve got my eye on a few pieces from the Nordstrom sale so will see when it opens to the public. I really like the open toe booties you styled today. I bought two new booties last year but none opened toe, so I will add that to my list for this fall. I’m glad the mules are still in too as I bought a new pair end of season last year. I have a question on the long cable knit open cardigan you styled from the sale in grey…. Is that long on you? I’m 5’3 and afraid to order as it may be past my knees too much…. The size 8 says 36 inches just wondering what your size 4 would be in length?( they don’t say on line) and that’s the size I’d also be getting.
    Blessings
    Karen

    1. I bought the grey cable sweater at the Anniversary sale and LOVE it. However, it runs big! I usually wear a 10-12 (depending on the brand) in blouses and sweaters – I got the grey sweater in a 6!

  11. love your blog and your heart. You mentioned while walking the other day books and blogs that you read and listen to. Could you please repeat the names of those? I am unable to locate that information.

    Thanks

    1. Hi Susan, right now I’m reading Unexpected my Christine Caine and Fervent by Priscilla Shirer. I also mentioned that I listened to Marked by Lifeway Women podcast.
      Hope that helps!!

  12. Cyndi, thank you for your posts and for BFTH! It seems with each passing year I am more interested in accessories and shoes when it comes to adding trendy items. Although I like the white boot trend (they remind me of the majorette boots that I wanted back in the 70’s), I would be the first to get them dirty and scuffed up. Maybe a pair of short white cowgirl boots would be fun to wear with distressed jeans? Anyway, you look cute in everything you style! Be blessed and keep rockin’ your style! 😊

  13. Love BFTH today- so so true…. and it is a struggle! I ordered a couple of pairs of shoes last week at the #NSale! A low heel bootie and the off white COnverse shoreline. 😉 I too, love shoes!!! 😉
    Be Blessed!

  14. FYI … the exact, no the EXACT, studded black mules are on sale at Target for only $25. #inmycartalready 🙂

  15. The gray mules are very cute. I like all the that you showed Except for the
white ones. You look cute but I would never wear them. They remind me of Goldie Hawn when she wasa go-go dancer on Laugh In.

  16. I LOVE the BFTH today! It is so true. We limit God (who is limitless) when we question our qualifications based on what others say. But we forget – it is not “us” but GOD who will do the work through us!

Shhhh 🤫 … I too have a weakness for shoes (do not look in my closet). Lol. And you are right – you can wear the same outfit and change out the shoes to give it a different look. But I’m not sure my hubby agrees. Although … he is always so sweet when I look at shoes and Just says “if you want them get them”. Boy do I love that man of mine! 💖

    1. Gina….my husband says the same thing. He’s so good about it. He also says, “Let me see….they are the most comfortable shoes you’ve worn.” I must say that a lot. Ha Ha
