A Little Of My Heart

Sometimes when I write this Sunday post, there are a thousand thoughts running through my mind. Things I want to say, but I’m never sure how to say them. So today I’ll share a little of my heart.

I recently read a comment from a top podcaster and best selling author that gut punched me. It went something like this…it doesn’t matter what your religion is or who you worship, what matters is that you recognize that this day is a gift.

I agree that each day is a gift BUT who you worship means everything. Scripture clearly says, You must worship no other gods, for the LORD, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you. Exodus 34:14

If you have been to the pit or suffered and Christ has pulled you up, dusted you off, told you he loves you, and he wants a relationship with you, you will never be satisfied with any idol or lesser god.

While I write a fashion and beauty blog, my true love is Jesus. I want more than anything to give women hope not in this world but in the one who created this world.

This song resonated so much with my heart. Things you might not know about me…

    • I never feel like I’m enough, not a good enough Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, etc.
    • I have suffered more in the last two years than I ever thought possible.
    • I have been hurt most by people who claim to be Christians

I still believe in the church (Christ died for the church), and I believe it’s important to be a part of a body of believers.

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved. ~Helen Keller

If you are struggling today, I hope you know there is one true God who loves you. There is no sin too great, no past too dark, for Jesus.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. Oh I have so much I would love to say. Lol. I know you are a busy woman. I also KNOW you are told all the time what an inspiration you are in people’s lives . I just stumbled across one of your videos one day only a few months ago . I couldn’t even tell you why I decided to watch it as I had lost interest in make up or fashion years ago.. Now I believe it was the work of God. Unfurtanaly, another lost interest.. Don’t get me me wrong, I never stopped praying or loving God. Im really not even sure what happened there . IT was all so gradual.. Now I seem to be gradually going back the other direction. I look forward to your emails and I even pay attention. LOL I’m having a hard time putting into words what I am trying to say. Some of it’s actually embarrassing anyways so probably a good time to close. Thank you so much, I appreciate your words of wisdom. You really understand life’s storms and that is comforting. Have a great day!

  2. Thank you! I am also a pastor’s wife who has been deeply hurt by christians. It is so hard sometimes. It is almost impossible to be able to talk about these things. I would love to just sit and visit with you over coffee. It is nice to know we ate not alone.

  3. I have appreciated your blog for the great fashion ideas, but I have also appreciated the sharing of your faith and encouragement in the Lord. I too am a pastor’s wife and it definitely has challenges. Thank you for being vulnerable about your journey.

  4. I may have read or heard the same author recently Cyndi. And while some good nuggets could be pulled from the content there were some statements as you mentioned that were concerning. Your advice to ALWAYS back up what we hear, read or think with scripture is the best advice you could have given.

It’s also an important reminder for those of us who have the ear of many; our responsibility is a big one. You do a fabulous job of keeping EVERYTHING you do classy and Godly.

As for feeling like you’re not enough. Me too my friend! But I’ve recently been reading the book, Love Does and I was reminded of this: God doesn’t use the most popular or the most equipped for His purpose. He equips those he chooses. Considering the very vehicle of our salvation won no popularity contests and His disciples had no special skills except fishing we have to trust that God sees more in us that we ever could.

    Hugs & Stuff,

  5. Thanks for sharing that song. It’s not one that I’ve heard before, but it really resonated with me.

I’m sorry that you have had a difficult couple of years. As God’s children we should be encouraging and supporting each other, not hurting and wounding others. God sees your heart, and He is always your true friend and supporter.

  6. I am not sure what you have gone through. But this is nothing new…..there is only one to judge and it is not of this world. My experience is you are truly a gift to many than you can know. Keep that in your heart. Prayers..

  7. I ache when I hear of your hurt in the church. Any church would be blessed to have you as their pastors wife! God will restore what the enemy seems to have taken. I love you!

  8. Thank you, Cyndi, not only for the beauty in fashion that you share with us, but also the beauty of your spirit that shines with Jesus’ love. I’m sorry for the hurts you’ve experienced. Sometimes we Christians are the worst as far as “shooting the wounded.” I work in a church and have been through rough times as well as victorious times and what has kept me there in the rough times was my love for the Lord. I’m thankful that even though you have suffered, you have given it to the Lord. One of my favorite obscure verses in the Bible is, “He will restore to you the years the locusts have eaten.” It only gets better…

  9. Cyndi, please remember as Gods child you are loved by him, he knew you before you. Were born, he knows you. Mistakes made are forgiven as you forgive others
You are such a sweet Christ loving person it breaks my heart to see with a broken heart. I hope you’re healing from the hurt that has come your way. Remember you are loved. Oh your outfit is really pretty on you.

  10. God has been exposing some of those lesser gods in my heart and it’s so true. They may temporarily seem life giving, but in the long run they are empty. I pray that they will be like ashes in my mouth!

I am so grateful that you shared this glimpse of your own struggles. You are a beautiful lady, and it’s easy to think you have it all together and life is perfect. It’s a great reminder that all of us have pain, no matter what our lives look like from the outside. God bless you!

  11. Just want to say…thank you for this blog and for your transparency.
Keep doing you. Peoples opinions don’t matter and sometimes we have to develop a tough skin to endure the darts people throw.

You are doing such a great job at taking the blows and still forgiving and loving and letting God work thru you.

Not only have I learned such great tips from you and your style blog. I have also been ministered to by you sharing your heart.

Jesus loves you…you are called….Be BLESSED!

  12. Cyndi
Thank you for being so vulnerable, we are encouraged and lifted when we understand we are not alone in our feelings or struggles. I am sorry that it has been a hard two years but I know you understand that God uses all things in our lives. I believe in your comments about things we may not know about you , you have echoed the heart of many women who feel like we are just not enough… this is such a lie that we have bought into . Praying for you today
    Melissa

  13. Such true words Cyndi… thank you for sharing your heart. I can relate to this, but I’m sure for many different reasons. Truth is truth no matter the situation. My go-to scripture for the past 2 years has been 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. I must focus on the unseen rather than what I can see with my physical eyes. The quote from Helen Keller is perfect… I will be sharing that one too!
Blessings to you and your family!
P.S. Have you read Nothing to Prove by Jennie Allen? IF not, it is a MUST read- especially in light of what you just shared about what you struggle with. It will lead you to more freedom! <3

  14. Thank you for boldly speaking the truth. It’s not religion, it’s Jesus only! Your words are an encouragement to my heart. I count every struggle and heartache as an opportunity to glorify God and build my faith, believing He will deliver me out of it. I first followed your blog because I loved your fashion style, but even more now I love your faith and how you lift up the name of Jesus. God is demonstrating a great purpose and plan for your life through your blog. You are a beautiful lady inside and out. I also love hearing about your wonderful family and grandkids. My 5 grands call me Cici too! I’ll be lifting you up in prayer!
    Cindy

  15. Cyndi, I appreciate your vulnerability. I wish we all felt the freedom to do this. We so often let Satan whisper lies to us that we are never enough and that we are the only ones feeling like this and that everyone else has their act together. If we would only feel that we can share that we are not perfect and that Christ is the one who is perfect and that we are just trying to be like Him. Unfortunately the place where we should feel the safest to share this (in the body of Christ with fellow believers) is so often the place where we experience the most hurt, judgment and condemnation. May God grant you peace as you continue your journey with Him! P.S. I love your blog and look forward to it every day!

  16. Hurt that is inflicted from the Body (meaning the church body) goes to a level that words cannot explain. But through this type of hurt you get your focus readjusted and see that it is the people not God. When you are deeply involved/committed in a church home and they hurt you sometimes it’s hard to see that they and God are separate .. and yet they are COMPLETELY. I pray for healing for both of you. Can’t wait to see and hear what He has for you!

  17. Cyndi, The truth you speak is beautiful. Thank you for being vulnerable and willing to share your heart. I pray that you continue to feel God’s love and healing. I have been deeply hurt by fellow believers.. I pray that you and Wayne find a church that will love and cherish your family.

  18. Cyndi, I often read your blog, and have for several years. I consider myself a Christian, but do not attend church. I feel it is unfair to judge people on that alone. I pray and have faith, but have no tolerance for what I see as ” Christians” that do not follow Jesus’s teaching. I would rather live my life every day trying to act in his teachings and making sure I treat everyone I come in contact with in that manner. I believe that in the end God will judge me on how I lived my life and not whether I attended church. No one should judge another, that is God’s job. I believe in respecting every ones way of worshiping as a they choose. I have never found a church that I could regularly attend, although I enjoy the experience.

    1. “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some …” Hebrews 10:24-25

  19. Cyndi, I don’t know you personally but from following you on your blog I know without a doubt you are more than “good enough”…that you are the best Christian, wife, mother and grandmother! I have a feeling that you’ve been hurt by people who are envious of the life that you have and also from your amazing relationship with Jesus. I’ll pray for those people so that they can find the way:)

  20. There are two sayings I remember from my time in full-time ministry. ‘She’s an ugly bride’, and ‘Sheep bite’.

I’m so thankful you all are keeping your eyes on Jesus, our perfect and spotless groom!

  21. I’m so sorry you were hurt. The people on the front lines take some hard hits, but great is your reward. People who call themselves Christians, but who don’t behave in a Christlike manner do so much damage. It makes me think of the Screwtape Letters and the evil one’s strategy. I’m glad that I know how that story ends. You win! I will keep you and your husband in my prayers. God is still using you mightily.

  22. Just wanted to say, I love your fashion but your words mean so much more. I loved your black dress and leopard heels, but it was clear that this was a serious outfit, meant for somber events. I know you’ve had your share. I still have my mom, and every day that I spend with her, I think of you and the things you write about your mom. Your blog reminds me to enjoy every moment and put my faith first – and that’s important. Thank you.

  23. Thank you for sharing. I am so glad you stated the reality of knowing truth. Our feelings can be fickle, wrong but Gods Word is always true! I grieve over your pain. I have also struggled with feeling never good enough. I believe many women have this problem. Will pray for you

  24. Hi Cyndi,
I truly appreciate that you are vocal with your love for Jesus. I just shake my head at the meaness of people, especially those claiming Christ. I hope your healing brings dancing and joy that you couldn’t even imagine!

  25. Thank you, Cyndi. The truth is often hard which is why so many avoid it. And as a Christian it hurts my heart to hear things like you described, but I seem to hear it more and more these days. Too many people confuse religion for a relationship with our Heavenly Father – huge difference.
I don’t know what has hurt you so in the past couple of years but my prayer is that things are better, and your faith is still strong. Thank you for your beautiful heart.

  26. I am so sorry that you have experienced hardships over the past few years. I have enjoyed reading your blog over the past few years and am lifted up by your blog. Your work is appreciated by many. Don’t stop believing in God because of other people’s behaviour. People change, God never does!

To give you some support and encouragement:
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you wiht My righteous right hand”.
    – Isaiah 41:10

    Sending you hugs!

  27. Thanks for being a voice of truth and light today.
Standing for truth and for the truth of Gods word is so vital in the midst of the grey world that we are living in.
Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put is Unser a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let you light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven.
    Keep shining.

  28. I am very saddened to see that many people do not accept the truth that the only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ, His Son. So many want to say there are many ways to God, but the real truth is, there is only one way. “There is no other name under heaven, whereby men can be saved, except the name of Jesus. How I love and appreciate my Savior, Jesus. I am a Kentucky girl, also. I love your sincerity and honesty. Keep being a light for women everywhere. ~~~Blessings~~~

  29. You are an awesome Christian woman. I look forward to your posts daily. You are down to earth and speak wisely. Thank you

  30. Dear Cyndi,
I’m so sorry you have had to go through so much hurt these last two years. Thank you for choosing to trust Jesus in the middle of it. It brings honor to Jesus’ name and it encourages all of the rest of us to do the same. Thank you for standing up for Jesus name and His wonderful Word. It blesses me so much and I appreciate your heart. Carry on dear faithful one. Love, your sister Sue

  31. Cyndi, I want to reach out to you with a big hug from another Christian woman, Receive it as if our own dear Jesus was hugging you himself. My own church was organized for the very purpose of reaching out to those who have been hurt by church, and the number of people that God is sending to us is amazing – both in how the Spirit is working to find those that are his, but also how many people have actually been harmed by their own Christian circles. Yet our Savior died even for them. Now each new day is an opportunity to be renewed by Him and to reflect the love that has been shown to us. Thank you for sharing your heart and know that you are always in my prayers.

  32. Thank you for sharing! My brother in law was our pastor for years and had to resign for reasons I won’t share. That’s been four years now and we have joined a church because like you we still believe that we should not forsake the gathering together of believers. We also have been hurt most by Christians and we still don’t feel we belong anywhere we have attended including the church we have joined. However God sees! I opened my I G and what do I see? Your story today. Thank you God for seeing my heart and feeling my pain and sending an I G friend that is willing to share

  33. Thank you for sharing your heart, your struggles, and most importantly your love for our one and only God. While I eagerly read your blog each day, I know that the beauty and fashion are only a distraction from the sinful world we live in. Thank you for always bringing it back to what matters with “beauty from the heart” and for sharing your life with us!

  34. I read that statement from the podcastet you’re speaking about and it bothered me too. I don’t know the intent behind it whether she actually meant what she typed or just the fact that each day is a gift and we are to be grateful and make the best of it. She sure got a lot of flak a lot of comments because of it that’s for sure.

    1. I don’t know her heart or if she’s a believer and I didn’t read the comments. It just gut punched me because I know she has a lot of followers and I believe so strongly that it does matter.

  35. Thank you for sharing! You are a blessing to me each and every day! God is so good! Thankful for your ministry! May God bless your blog each and everyday with a fresh annointing!

  36. Beautiful post! Thank you for sharing your heart and standing up for His Truth in this age of deception. My prayers are with you and your family.

  37. Honesty, this has to be one of your best posts!! I as well have watched my so called “Christian” friends turn away from us even at our great need. It has left a sting. Yet, God has been working and is restoring…He is in the business of restoration!!
I now, unfortunately, watch what I way…it is due to my lack of trust.
My prayer for myself is that I can show Jesus through my actions…not by any “religious” act I do or where I go to church…

Thank you for sharing…God is so Fathful!!

  38. Amen Thank you Jesus Christ King of Kings ✝ 🕊 Lord of lords!
Thank you Cyndi, what a beautiful post. One of the best! I really enjoy your blog and I even more enjoy that you love Christ and boldly say so. This life is empty, it’s vanity…look at Solomon, he had everything the world could offer, but he didn’t have what couldn’t be bought, love. ✝️🕊️⛪💗 He focused on the tangible and what can be seen, but he needed to focus on God, and knowing who he was in God, then he would have been at peace and fulfilled. John the baptist understood. Thank you again for this post. May God watch over you and your family always. 💗 Christina

  39. This is passion and what we were created for! Fashion is fun but GOD is GRACE – unmerited favor. We could never do enough to earn his love for us, but God loves us❤️ Thank you for your words of hope and encouragement Cyndi; you are being used by him.

  40. Thank you for your post!!! I’m glad you speak the truth and your a Christian!! That’s why I follow you as a Blogger!! Thank you for being you!!

  41. Thank you for sharing your heart and being real Cyndi. We all need each other to help carry our burdens. There is a lot of bad theology floating around what looks like the Christian world. Your heart for Jesus shines bright.

  42. Dear Cyndi, Thank you for sharing such a powerful message with your readers. It broke my heart to read that you have felt “not good enough” and have been hurt by others. None of us should have to experience such sadness and despair.

As you mentioned, however, it is in our Lord Jesus that we find everlasting peace, hope, and love. May you know in your heart that He loves you and that YOU are a gift to so many.

    Be good to you!
    In His Almighty Name,
    kerry

  43. Thank you for standing for the Truth and being so encouraging! This world needs more people like you! Just like Ephesians 6:13 says “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground” 🙏❤️

  44. Thank you for this post. Glad you are using your platform to speak the truth in this age of ‘tolerance.’ And I’m sorry for the hard time you have been going through. I, also, will pray for you.

  45. Amen and Amen, Cyndi!!! Today it seems that many are basing their beliefs on how they feel—but our feelings and emotions are fickle. We have to know and stand on TRUTH, no matter how we feel. Lauren Daigle’s new song, You Say, speaks into this. I think it needs to be on repeat in my heart and soul.

  46. Thank you for sharing the Truth today. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He carries us through the hard times if we are believers. Your post was such a timely message for all of us.

  47. Thanks for sharing your heart. I always look forward to your Sunday posts. I love fashion, but nothing compares to Jesus! ❤️

  48. Cyndi, this is one of my favorite “truths”, and if I’m not mistaken, I believe it is from Corrie Ten Boom. “THERE IS NO PIT SO DEEP THAT GOD’S LOVE IS NOT DEEPER STILL”.

  49. Hey Cindi,
I follow your posts from time to time. I feel compelled to reach out today. I too have been hurt by people when claim to be good Christians. These acts hurt and confuse meI have struggled with the hurt. I have come to believe that no one is perfect! Extra prayers never hurt! Have a great Sunday!

  50. Love you….and your heart Cyndi!!! I know…beyond a shadow of a doubt….God is good all the time….and he has such an amazing plan for you!

You are a gift….a treasure far beyond rubies to Jesus!!!

Keep pressing in to him……..his plan is always perfect!!

    Love ya!
    Kim

  51. Cyndi, I just started following you not long ago and enjoy your blog. I love your fashion and especially your inspiration you give to others. We all have personal struggles from time to time. We suffered a horrible tradegy losing our daughter 3 years ago. My husband has cancer and I just try to enjoy every moment I can with him. Life is forever changing but God’s Love is always there for us. Hope is what I hang on to. Thank you for your words of encouragement each day! God bless you!

    1. Your testimony is such an inspiration Rehnee. Praying for God’s peace and comfort to both you and your husband today.

    2. Thank you for your words of encouragement Rehnee! I’m so sorry for your loss and your husband’s cancer but you are right, God is our hope.

  52. Cyndi, thank you for sharing your heart and our Jesus! Praying right now for healing🙏 My girls live 6 hours away. ENJOY those Sunday lunches💕

  53. Cyndi
I can’t believe how much our hurts are the same.
I struggle so much with insecurities and I too have had more hurt in the last two years that I have every had. I seemed to have failed in so many aspects of my life that I thought I was doing so well at. My husband and I have commented a lot that the meanest people we know profess to be Christians. So sad!! And we wonder why people don’t want to be involved with church.
You are such an inspiration in my life!! Thank you!
    In His care
    Donna

  54. Dearest Cyndi, I too, and likely most of us have been going through struggles and even from or within church. Scripture tells us Satan will work through people even in the church. We all have to stay alert and aware even in the church. I’m sorry for your pain and struggles. I hope you will have complete healing and forgiveness, as I’m sure you will. Stay strong in our Lord Sister. Hugs 🤗

  55. Thanks for your encouragement and strong faith in our God!;;and Jesus Christ our one and only way to eternity!my husband passed on August 4th..what a change for our family!he had liver disease since January..never drank in his life;!!?but I know he is in heaven and life goes on!
I love to follow your style even at66years of age!!
    Maryann

    1. Maryann I’m sorry you lost your husband, my heart hurts with yours. I’m thankful he is with our Savior, and I know that will comfort you, and your family!

    2. Praying for God’s arms of comfort and peace to hug you today. What a blessing you will see your husband again one day!

  56. Thank you for the encouragement today. I have been there and from time to time still struggle with challenges with my children not serving the Lord and being hurt by the church. I know that I am saved-living under the covering of Christ’s blood and secured by faith in His work on the cross for me. When I have ongoing battles raging inside of me. I claim the power that is available to us through God’s New Covenant through Faith.
I am encouraged by the Word of God -If you are in the midst of overwhelming struggles, the word God gave Zechariah: ” Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts.” Zechariah 4:6
NO HOPE OF VICTORY IN OUR OWN STRENGTH! I HAVE TO KEEP TRUSTING HIM TO FIGHT ON MY BEHALF.
Cyndi, continue to stand and rest on God’s promises.
    Love You!

  57. Wonderful message today. Just what many of us need to hear. I guess I’ve not followed your blog long enough to know what you’ve been going through the last two years but wonder if it has to do with your husband leaving the ministry. Whatever it is, I pray things will get better. Our only hope is in Jesus!!

  58. I’ve followed your blog for years but don’t think I have ever commented. Today it seems you need encouragement. Thank you for always pointing us to Jesus and the truth of scripture. I’m so sorry for the pain you are living and the pain other believers have caused. Thankfully our joy in the journey of life isn’t dependant on them but on Him!

  59. Oh my……you hit the nail right on its very head…
Hubby and I have had a four year struggle very similar to yours and the hurt is so real……
Thank you for voicing how the struggle is so real when it’s from fellow Christians. I send love and prayers your way often as you all deal with the struggles and the grace that you show.

  60. That is a pretty perfect post. One that resonates with so many of us. Trials and brokenness can bring us to a place where we know Christ is the only way, truth and life. I have often had to remind myself he said “I will never leave or forsake you.”Hebrews 13:5 and Joshua 1:5

  61. So true! Unfortunately the “church” I was part of was more concerned with how you looked on the outside and condemning for every little thing. I trusted them because they were my pastors and family. But I never took the time to search out the scriptures for myself. The last several years I finally took the time to REALLY study the word of God. Not just reading one scripture and basing a standard on that but reading the whole chapter and studying the context to fully understand what it means. And of course praying and asking God for guidance. I found it wasn’t conviction from God I had felt for not keeping some “standards” but guilt from the church. Talk about understanding His grace! Such freedom! I’m crying Just speaking of it. God is full of grace and love. All we need to know to live for Him is in the Bible – read it – study it – and pray about it – He will show you the way. Find a church that preaches the Bible – and always verify what anyone is saying by reading it and studying it for yourself. In God’s love …

  62. Everything you wrote this week so resonates with me, I was so meant to hear this song this week! Cyndi you lead by a beautiful example for so many of us, and some days we all question ourselves but when we turn our thoughts to prayers Jesus will lead us. Thank you for all you do. 💕

  63. Thank you for being brave & speaking the truth. It is frustrating to me also to know that there are widely read & followed Christians putting out false information. I’m sure their hearts mean well. I’m standing with you in this truth, Cyndi. Bless you!

  64. This was a real blessing..thank you for being transparent. I have been a subscriber for a long time, I too am going through an unexpected valley. I will keep you in my prayers. Thank you again !

  65. Cyndi, I wish I could just put my arms around you, hold you tight and tell you how worthy you are because of Jesus. I know deep down you know that but hurts and disappointments can sure cloud our minds sometimes. I was in the depths of hurt and disappointment several years ago and though the circumstances surrounding that situation have changed very little, it’s where God has shown me most just how much He loves me! He showed me I can’t change the people who hurt me but I can pray for them. He also taught me that my joy no longer needed to be robbed because of someone else’s behavior. I’m praying for you sweet lady. And thank you for speaking up TRUTH about a false teaching. 🙏❤️🙏

  66. Love this raw and honest post. I too have been hurt but would never turn my back on amy Jesus. Thank you for being real.

  67. Hi Cyndi,
Thank you for all of your inspirational posts, especially this one. You are always gracious and sweet in both the tone and choice of your words. I believe that it is a sign of strength.

I have to pray every day that I will not be overcome by angry, spiteful thoughts or actions, and some days are definitely harder than others. I truly appreciate your faithfully continuing this blog even through suffering. You have such a warm heart!

Wishing you and family a happy and blessed Sunday and week ahead!
    Lorraine xo

  68. Wonderful post Cyndi, you are an inspiration to me, I always look forward to reading your blog. Enjoy your day with your family, you are truly blessed!

  69. Cyndi, I’m so sorry for the valleys that you have recently walked through. Isn’t it wonderful to know that the Lord has walked right beside you and He’s never left you or forgotten you. That gives me peace to know that He loves me on the mountains and in the valleys and that HE IS GOOD ALL THE TIME! Men disappoint, but the Lord never does. Thank you for speaking truth. Thank you for being real!

  70. Thank you for being so honest and open. I think when ladies that follow you , that may be on the fence with their faith, reading these words of encouragement really speaks to their ❤️ heart!

Today is a new day, we are forgiven and so blessed to be believers. 🙏🏻

  71. Thank you for sharing the things we don’t know about you. I at times have experienced all those same things. One I am going thru currently. The only thing that gets me thru the day is knowing that God will guide me and I will come out of this time of sorrow.

  72. Thank you for sharing this. I am never enough either. It’s hard to keep trying sometimes. The Bible is an owner’s manual for our lives, and I so appreciate people like you who shine light on its truth. Happy Sunday Cyndi.

  73. I am hesitant to share my faith because I don’t want people to judge God by me, by my actions. Coincidently, I was just listening to a sermon about Moses and his responses to the Lord who told him to lead the Israelites.

Our role is to be obedient- the response to that is God’s to deal with. I KNOW this, but still struggle.

    Thanks for sharing Cyndi!

  74. Thank you Cyndi. You’ll never know how much i needed this today. I’ve followed your blog fir a few years….. lesser though since I lost my daughter in September. Having a rough morning and these words helped.

  75. Thank you for sharing your heart. It’s so hard to show how vulnerable we are for fear of judgement, but our relationship with Christ gives us strength. Have a blessed Sunday Cyndi.

  76. Hold your head high. You’re a daughter of the King. Jesus will continue to carry you through this difficult season. Praying for you, Cyndi.

  77. Hey Cyndi. You and I are very similar in that we are both grandmas. I am a pastors wife and have been struggling with understanding God. You see, two weeks ago my 4 yo granddaughter , Georgia Mae was diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma. I’m completely broken. Thank you for sharing your heart, because let me tell you, it does not fall on deaf ears. Keep doing what you are doing. Keep being real. Love from North Carolina.

  78. This is a great post, Cyndi. When we loudly and openly profess our Christianity, others are watching. What we say matters, but what we DO matters even more. You once shared Natalie Grant’s “Clean”; the original live performance is the best. I encourage everyone to look that video up on YouTube and watch is over and over.

  79. Thank you for sharing yourself. It helps to know others feel ‘less than’ at times. We all have insecurities in areas of our life. Thank you for being transparent with your life. I’m right there with you. We, as women of Christ, need to encourage and uplift each other and not tear down. Praying will give you boldness in your Christian walk ss you freely proclaim your faith.
Thank you so much, I needed to read that today!

  80. The hardest time to keep faith is when life becomes exceedingly hard. The past six months have been extremely stressful. I keep telling myself that God has a greater plan. Everyday I work to reaffirm that thought.
