Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend, we sure did. We spent some time with friends we hadn’t seen in years, and now we are at one of our favorite Bed & Breakfasts.
It’s raining outside, but it actually sounds good hitting on the roof. I might enjoy an extra couple of cups of coffee this morning!
Today I’m styling a JCrew cape, but you can wear it as a scarf too. I love the versatility of this cape and the windowpane design.
I kept my jewelry simple with hoop earrings and of course this necklace from Target. I’m telling you I love this necklace and wear it all the time!
This cape has armholes, so it stays on and it comes in an ivory grey color too.
The booties I’m wearing are no longer available, but I shared a similar pair.

Hi Nancy, I love the ladies at Glamour Farms but I was having a hard time with their sizing. Most of their smalls were big on me so I felt like I was struggling to find pieces that worked. They have so many cute clothes and I miss working with them.
Love the navy cape. I find for me at 5’3″, that I can’t wear these as scarves. They are just too big. I’d love to see you style it as a scarf, like you said. I have those same booties from last Fall. Love them, but how do you keep your dark jeans from fading on them. I try to keep them rolled up high enough, but still happens. Do you know of a way to clean suede from this? You look so comfy and nice in the photos. Glad you are having at nice get away with your husband. Enjoy the rest of your time. Love this time of year for trips.

I love your style and look forward to your email every day! I am only 5’1 and have a hard time finding petite fashion. Do you have any suggestions? I LOVE the cape but they are always too long. Makes me so sad.
If you google petite fashion bloggers StyleCaster has a list of 27 petite ladies. Hopefully, you will find a good fit (age wise ).
This is a great fall look. I have 2 capes that I wear on those cool days but I may have to check out this one as I like the sleeve cut outs to help keep it on. That necklace from Target is simple elegance and I love that with a casual outfit. I’m going to look for it at the store near me.

I love these kinds of capes. To me they are the autumn version of the kimono and so work for every woman out there. In fact, my mom has one that’s a little heavier than this from the 1960’s …..it’s as old as I am!! LOL
