How To Style a Faux Leather Jacket

Welcome to Day 24 of 25 Days of Fall Fashion! I can’t believe how quick this series has gone, but I’m excited for October. It’s a beautiful month here in Kentucky.

Last night I attended a small blogger event at Sugarboo & Co. It’s a business here in Lexington (it’s also in a few other states). I wore a faux leather jacket with a floral blouse.

I have purchased several faux leather pieces in the last few weeks. I love the look of leather, and it is definitely trending this fall.

The ruffle detail on this jacket is so cute and feminine.

If you like leather over faux leather, there is another one from DKNY. My jacket is on the left and is on sale for $53.70 use code FALL. The right picture is the leather jacket, and it’s on sale for $344.24 use code fall.

My sister also attended the event, so we snapped a quick picture. She is a home blogger, and we always have people comment that they’ve followed us both, but didn’t realize we are sisters.

My black booties are Vince Camuto from last year. This is the updated bootie this year. It has a more pointy toe which I really like. I’m carrying a Michael Kors crossbody bag. This is my splurge handbag purchase for the year!

We had such a good time last night and I met a few new bloggers in the area.

Faux leather jacket (I’m wearing a small)//Sleeveless Mockneck Blouse (I’m wearing an XS)//Wit & Wisdom Jeans (I’m wearing a size 6)//Black Booties (updated pair here, less expensive option here)//Earrings//Michael Kors Crossbody Bag

Now, head over and see what Jo-Lynne is styling for fall!

I’m so honored that you have taken time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and my favorite one, Instagram.

  1. Hi Cyndi!
I loved this outfit and styling a floral blouse with a faux leather jacket. You always look great! I have a faux leather jacket and faux leather leggings and have been wondering what to wear with them. I would love to see you do a post on 7 ways to style a black faux leather jacket and 7 ways to style faux leather leggings. ☺

  2. Cyndi I love this outfit – was wondering how the Vince Camuto Printed Pleated top in the Deep Shale that comes up when I pull up your top on the Macys website would look with this jacket? Hope you can understand my question!!

  3. I recognize that spot. You were at The Summitt. Love the jacket and always love your posts. I’m sure you will pull it together for your dinner tonight. I will be in Lex tomorrow for the big game. Go CATS!!! Have a great weekend.

  4. Happy Fall Cyndi!
My favorite time of the year!
Love your posts and Sunday it’s home.
Thanks, you are a blessing. Tomorrow is my birthday and I am going to a Christian gathering with friends tomorrow!
    Praising him!

  5. That is the cutest blouse! I might have to rethink florals.
I have a faux leather jacket that many think is real leather. I probably wear it more than my leather ones. The ruffle on the black one is a cute detail.
I’m a planner and need all my ducks lined up ahead of time. Working under that kind of pressure would totally stress me out. I want to be relaxed when my company arrives.

  6. Love the look! The clothes always look better on you than the models.

I’m sure tired of all the ads that accompany your blog. Any way to get rid of them?

  7. I like your outfit! That’s a great picture of the two of you! I am a planner, so working under pressure like you ar3 doing would make me a nervous wreck. Enjoy the family time!

  8. I decided to take the plunge this year and bought some faux leather leggings from the Loft. They are sooo comfy and I have already worn them a few times to work and out to dinner. Not sure if i could pull off the jacket though. It looks great on you!

  9. I love a faux leather jacket. I have one that I don’t wear very often but I need to change that. I think the scarf I ordered from Sole society will look nice with it to. I had a busy week as well so I’m ready for the weekend.. We are headed to the valley to pick apples and pumpkins, with my daughter and her fiance and our son’s girlfriend. I’m ready to finish decorating the front porch. Just bought a new wreath so its starting to look like fall, and my firing bushes are turning red:)

    Happy weekend

  10. Love this look! I have a real leather jacket from yrs ago that I can’t seem to get rid of;) . But I do like the faux leather as well. I’m with you on working better under pressure .. lol. I’m sure you’ll get everything done w time to spare!

  11. First I love the pic of you and your sister. You are so blessed to be close to your sister in such a wonderful way. I actually tried on a real leather jacket for the first time in a while and boy was it heavy. I think I’m more comfortable in the faux leather jackets because they are light weight and perfect for this time of year. Love the whole outfit and enjoy your dinner with your family.

  12. LOL I do follow both you and your sister! I didn’t know at the time you were sisters but put two and two together pretty fast because of your sweet Mom! I have been loving all the fall wear you’ve been showing but I find I can’t wear all the short dresses anymore. Still your just full of great ideas so keep them coming! BFTH……an everyday read!
