Old Navy Shopping

Happy Saturday! It’s a cool, crisp morning here in Kentucky and fall is in the air. It’s a perfect day to get outside and head to a fall festival or the pumpkin patch.

Yesterday, someone asked if I would style something from Old Navy, so I decided to look online and do some Old Navy shopping. I like some items at Old Navy, but there are some pieces I stay away from because of the quality.

Because I shop a lot, I know what to look for, such as how many stars does the item have, what type of fabric, etc. Some of my favorite things to purchase at Old Navy are their sweaters and their outerwear.

I stay away from the tops and dresses that are 100% cotton or rayon and made with a thin material.

Here are some of my picks. I’m trying to get a post together on What to Wear Thanksgiving Day and some of these items may show up in that post.

One last thing, this is a final call for the Faster Way to Fat Loss Bootcamp that begins Monday! I’m so excited that Courtney, my daughter, is going to be doing this round.

She had baby Claire in May, and she still has some weight she is trying to lose, and I know this is going to help her.

The FASTer Way To Fat Loss is designed to help you reach your overall health and wellness goals. The beauty of the program is that everyone’s goals are different, yet completely obtainable through the FASTer Way.

During Bootcamp,  you’ll learn a balanced eating approach that is stress-free and effective.

The nutritional strategies help support a healthy metabolism, help you manage your weight, and will teach you how to increase lean calorie burning muscle while effectively burning fat.

You’ll focus on maintaining the proper mindset, getting enough rest and sleep, and creating a healthy gut.

If you are a returning client, you get the reduced price. Plus they’re also giving everyone this adorable pink tank that says, Somewhere between a juice cleanse and a donut.

If you have joined through me in the past or are signing up now, I have a FWTFL facebook group so we can share recipes.

I’m so honored that you have taken time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty for the Heart~~“The trees are about to show us how lovely it is to let the dead things go.”

I thought this quote was a good reminder. Maybe there is something you have been hanging on to like, brokenness, anger towards someone, maybe you have been hurt. It’s time to let those go. Give them to Jesus, he can handle them. Start today with a renewed spirit!

Have a blessed day!

  1. Well…I guess I’m the odd ball. I LOVE Old Navy!!! I subscribe t your blog and scanned your article the other day. I have thought about it several times since then, so I decided to see what others think. I’m really surprised! I love the tall option and I find that their clothes are cute, comfortable and most of all very reasonably priced.

  2. So funny, I pulled up your blog on my way home from and early supper and I’m wearing that vest in pink! I seem to manage a good run from Old Navy about twice a year. I got the pink vest, which I love, a gray boyfriend sweatshirt to wear at home over leggings (new concept for me), a pair of cheetah and a pair of black ballet flats and of course, their must have flip flops, in black!

  3. Thank you for the motivation and inspiration. I appreciate you mixing up the price points. I feel
The same about Old Navy so happy for the tips on what to stay away from. They have cute stuff
But not Always a good buy. I find some item barely last a season while others a few years. I usually buy a few pieces for work then if they get ruined it doesn’t bother me as much. Really
Too bad they couldn’t up the quality.

  4. I probably checkout Old Navy once a week online and shop in store every couple months. Closest store is 45 minutes away. I have been happy with my Old Navy jeans and sweater purchases. Bought my first pair of raw edge/frayed hem cream jeans last spring and wore them once week throughout the summer to work. Still in great condition. Washed after each wear. Love them! I think for the price and how often I wear my Old Navy clothes the quality scores high. Love when you style Target, ON and JCP!

  5. I’m with you and the others who commented about Old Navy. A lot of mine and my daughter’s casual clothes come from there but you have to be careful. I like checking things out in the store then ordering online- the sales are typically better! Have a great fall weekend!

  6. Because I’m just naturally frugal, I enjoy Old Navy, I see no reason to buy jeans anywhere else, I’d rather spend my money in other ways, so ON is OK for me.

  7. I never shop at Old Navy. I have gone in with my daughter but things appear cheap. They don’t hang well or the material is cheap. They mostly shrink in the dryer. Plaids & checks never match up. Nope! Leaving that to the young!

  8. I don’t like Old Navy. I find their quality isn’t good and after 1-2 washes they just don’t hold up. I can find much better quality for the price at LOFT sales. I never have gone back to Old Navy.

  9. I don’t shop at Old Navy a lot but do like that they have a tall option, at 5’9” it’s hard to find dresses long enough. I got a cute white eyelet sundress that I got lots of compliments on.
We just spent a few days in Boston and are now headed to Nantucket. I wouldn’t trade my California weather for anywhere else but it’s fun to experience a little colder fall for a change.

  10. I’m also from Kentucky and joined FWTFL for a second round!! (After a year off 😢)
Love your blog! It’s nice to see what cute styles are out there for women over 40.

  11. Hi Cyndi, I do like to drop into Old Navy for a spin. I think they’re clothes are hit and miss on quality as well. Sometimes though I find something I love. I also like to try a trend with their stuff before I buy a quality piece, or even just try a new color. Did you know that they also own The Gap and Banana Republic? I used to work for the company. I find they try a lot of items at Old Navy To test the water on interest and then you’ll see similar in their higher quality and price Brands.

  12. I do shop at ON a good bit, in store and on-line. I really like their Rockstar jeans and I have quite a few tops. Like you, I select items that don’t wrinkle, that have some give, and are not made out of thin fabric. If I’m not 100% satisfied with an item I order, it goes back. Hurricane Michael brought us the Fall temps, but we will be back in the 80’s, as of tomorrow, for a few days. Enjoy the pumpkin patch!

  13. I’m with you on Old Navy Clothes, you have to be careful and only buy the quality pieces. I recently purchased the open front long cardigan only because it got good reviews and I was looking for a camel sweater. I haven’t worn it yet but the quality looks really nice.
Enjoy the pumpkin 🎃 patch today.

  14. I do shop at old navy but not too much. Like you’ve said you need to watch there quality.. I’m anxious to see if you style anything I’ve recently bought. I did buy a nice sweater vest that’s great with jeans and a long sleeve white t-shirt… it’s got like a high low hem and adds a bit of warmth. Enjoy your pumpkin patch.. we did that a few weekends ago with apple picking . The colors of our trees are starting to look like fall. How beautiful to see Gods creation.
