Camel Shaw/Wrap from Social Threads

Happy Monday ladies! I’m continuing with 20 Days of Winter Fashion, and today I’m styling this gorgeous camel shawl/wrap from Social Threads. I wore this outfit out to dinner Friday night.

The wrap comes in two colors a green/blue and a camel/ivory that I’m wearing. I styled it with an off-white sweater from Old Navy. If you’re looking to add an off-white sweater to your winter wardrobe, this is a good one.

The neat thing about this wrap/shawl is it can be worn as a vest, or you can change it and wear it as a shawl.

I like to add burgundy when I’m wearing camel and ivory. My handbag is sold out (sorry!), but I linked a couple of bags from Sole Society that are the same color and right on trend.

Another trend I’ve mentioned several times is tortoise jewelry, so I’m wearing tortoise earrings from Baublebar.

This shawl can be worn with a casual outfit, but it also looks cute added to a dress. My daughter borrowed it and wore it with a dress. It looked great and kept her warm.

My boots were purchased during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and I have to say, they are my favorite purchase. I get compliments on them all the time. They are pricey, so if you’re looking for a less expensive option, these from Target have good reviews.

Camel/Ivory Wrap/Shawl (one size)// Earrings//Handbag (option here and here)//Old Navy Sweater (I’m wearing a size small) //Boots (less expensive option here)//Jeans (I’m wearing a size 28)//Ring//Bracelet//Watch

If you have checked Social Threads out, I highly recommend it. They have a lot of cute clothes.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and my favorite one, Instagram.

Be sure to visit Jo-Lynne and see the winter outfit she’s styling today!

Beauty For The Heart~~Eugene Peterson was an American-born clergyman, scholar, author, and poet. His son Leif said at the funeral that his dad only had one sermon—that he had everyone fooled for 29 years of pastoral ministry, that for all his books he only had one message.

It was a secret Leif said his dad had let him in on early in life. It was a message that Leif said his dad had whispered in his heart for 50 years, words he had snuck into his room to say over him as he slept as a child:

“God loves you. God is on your side. He is coming after you. He is relentless.”

Let that sink in today ladies. “God loves you. God is on your side. He is coming after you. He is relentless.”

Have a blessed day!

  1. Got mine in the mail today and
LOVE it!!! It’s light weight but still really warm. I can’t make it look right as a shawl tho!! Can u help with that??

  2. You are so cute in this outfit. I’m petite and the added bulk around the middle is not attractive on me. But I love this.

Do you actually own all of the clothing you wear in pictures on your blog? They are beautiful…but the expense. Though I must say that your selections are from stores thanI frequent most and they are reasonably priced. Thanks for that!

    1. Teresa, I do purchase a lot of my clothes. Some brands will sponsor a post and pay me for the post and send the clothes. Blogging is my full-time business so the average person will not purchase the number of clothes that I purchase.

      I hope that makes sense!

  3. This certainly is one of your most beautiful outfits. The boots make it complete. I love it!! And, I loved the BFTH, too. It brought tears to my eyes as I needed those comforting words in the last few days.

  4. Just had to come back to this today, Cyndi, to copy this beautiful, powerful BFTH into my journal. Thank you for sharing this from this amazing saint!!!!!

  5. i love both your heart and style i can`t stop checking on how you styled and those word of life you share.

  6. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this outfit! Camel and white always look so classy.
I will pray for your MIL. My dad is missing my mom a lot since she went to heaven. It is so hard when you lose your soul-mate.

  7. This look is fabulous! And thanks for the tip to add in burgundy – I never thought of that and it looks great.

  8. BFTH gave me chills in a good way. Will be praying that over my grands, as well!

    Love the outfit, simply classy!

  9. This is one of my favorite looks. I love capes, shawls, vests, they are just so cozy and warm to wear. If I didn’t have a coat style cape in this color I would be tempted… Still praying for your MIL for a speedy recovery.

  10. Love this look. I have one similar from Glamour Farms from 2 yrs. ago. Its smaller for my shorter height. Love this look for FALL. Thanks for the update on your MIL. I have been wondering. Continued prayers. I so know what you guys are going through I did it with my MIL…..broken hip at 91 yrs. old. 🙁 Keep your eyes on HIM. 🙂 Blessings.

  11. Just a question kind of off topic…are you or anyone reading this experiencing trouble with items shipping from the Loft? Items used to ship and arrive so quickly but now it takes up to a week just to get an order to ship? Anyone else with this problem? Spoke to customer service but didn’t really get anywhere so wondered if I am the only one with this issue?

    1. KIm….yes…I’ve noticed the same thing. I use to receive Loft items so much quicker. I should call customer service too.

  12. Beautiful Beauty for the Heart today!!
And your outfit today is so “fun and refreshing”
    I love the look!!
    Have a blessed day!!

  13. Love the BFTH – I am studying Jeremiah and God loves us relentlessly-so eternally grateful! Love the versatility of this shawl/vest. Prayers for your dear MIL and for all of you as this is such a difficult time. Thank you for all you do!

  14. Like the look when worn as a vest. Bet its warm also. Thanks for sharing the less expensive version of boots from Target.

    Love the BFTH today.

  15. Love this outfit! Love your post even more! I’ve already been through aging parents and heartache it brings. I find comfort on how you talk so lovingly about his mother. Your beauty for the heart has been touching my heart more than ever. Keep the light shining. Prayers for her and you all.

  16. Cyndi, I like most of what you styled but I feel these poncho/shawls are overpowering and wish they made them in petite sizes not one size fits all!

    1. Hey Darlene….I have the same problem at 5’3″ and about 125-128lbs. A couple years ago I found one similar to what Cyndi is wearing….has the furry shawl collar etc. from Glamour Farms. Cyndi use to style their clothes but they don’t carry XS, so she quit featuring them. They may have them again this year. Seems I saw them. They do charge shipping but I waited until a sale and sometimes they offer holiday specials of free shipping. I love the vest….mine is green and blue plaid. You might also try the XS/SM ones at LOFT. They might run smaller. But….I hear ya!!!
