I talk a lot about shining our light. The Greek word for light in this scripture is phós, and it means divine illumination and radiance.
How do we illuminate Christ during the holiday season? A lot of it is how we handle our daily life.
- We are kind in the midst of a busy holiday season.
- When we are around a difficult family member, we show love even though it might not be easy.
- We remember that all that we have belongs to Christ and we share what we have with those less fortunate.
Let’s let our light shine so others can see and know Christ.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My family has experienced loss this season as well and we are planning a Saturday funeral for my mother-in-law. So thankful for the assurance of eternal life.

Prayers for your family. I know your MIL has heard those words from the Father that we all long to hear: “well done, good and faithful servant.”
I’ll pray for you and Wayne and family as you prepare for your MIL service. So sorry to hear she passed. I had just read your email this morning that she was on hospice. I’m happy she is now with her Lord and husband. Such a hard time to loose a parent but I’m glad you will have lots of family around for the holidays to be together and share memories. My Aunts memorial service is this Saturday…she was 88 yrs. old and its hard but looking forward to being with extended family. Your BFTH reminded me of the book I just picked up Saturday with my gift card. Its Candace Cameron Bure’ new book “Kind is the New Classy.” It looks good…looking forward to starting it. Has anyone read it? I like her. We do need to focus on kindness this time of year, especially with the difficult ones in our lives. Great gift guide you posted today. Blessings for your days ahead.

I am so sorry about your mother in law, my mother passed away on November 9th, it will be a very sad Christmas this year. But, I know that she is eating at God’s table with my Dad, sister, brother in law and brother.She has missed them all so much the past few years.
