Striped Cardigan and January Favorites

Happy Tuesday ladies! We have some crazy weather here. It’s in the 60s and 70s for a few days, with rain of course, and then the bottom drops out this weekend. It’s wild!

I get giddy this time of year when we start to see glimpses of the change of a season. It won’t be long until the trees will start budding and we’ll be wearing short sleeves and sandals.

This time of year, I’m looking for those pieces that I can wear during the in-between season. I shared this striped cardigan on Instagram, and it was quite popular. I don’t know if you’re still in the mood to buy booties, but these from Target are a favorite pair right now.

I was looking back at January and thought I would share some of the most popular items and the top 3 most popular posts.

It’s good to see what you all like because it helps me plan. I think the most popular posts are when I share ways to wear one item/different ways. Those posts help me too! So there is more of that to come!

Here is a quick look back at some of your favorite items from January.

Here are my top 3 posts from January.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and, Instagram.

Beauty For The Heart~~I love the book of Proverbs, it’s very black and white. This is how it is, period.

Proverbs 14:30 (NLT) says, A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I can let jealousy get the best of me. I look at someone else and think their life is perfect. But that’s never the truth.

Let’s be women that strive be full of the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Let’s celebrate and encourage each other. We all have a story, and God has you where you are at this time and this season for a purpose.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Thanks for sharing the cardigan & booties. I do like that Target usually get 5 or 5.5 in shoe sizes in the store here. I have quite the time with my small foot finding shoes. I really love boots & shoes! The weather in Mississippi is crazy as crazy can be. Shining sun yesterday in the 70’s and cloudy and even hotter today, then alittle rain. We turned on the AC temps got so high. Yellow flowers blooming here and my roses too. 🙂 It will get cold again in a day or two probably.

  2. Our weather in South Texas has been crazy too. It was warm and humid today But I don’t think we’ve seen that last of winter and not time to put the sweaters away. Glad the grey tunic was restocked and I’m getting one this time. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I’m actually reading the book of proverbs and yes to the point! I got a black leather jacket for Christmas and I’m hoping as we get some milder days to start wearing it. So several ways to style would be great??

  4. Yes, wearing pieces different ways is GREAT. I love them. I have a grey tunic and the scarf and the black leggings and I never thought of wearing them but one way. I am wearing it with my black converse tomorrow. I have already worn my animal print scarf so I will save it for another day. Looking forward to seeing more.

  5. My idea for a piece several ways would be a plain dress…. like a basic LBD or that swing dress from Amazon – one color, simple – and show how you might wear it to dress it up and dress it down – leggings, stockings, chucks, boots, heels, all with one dress. I know it works, but I never can seem to get it right.

  6. I love Proverbs – straight to the point! Thanks for that today! I would like to see ways to mix patterns, some unexpected are always fun. Also, how to transition from winter wear to warmer temps without buying too many pieces.

  7. Cyndi, I never know whether to tuck my tshirt in my jeans or leave out when wearing a cardigan. It looks like you tuck most of the time. Love what you do for us! I’ve learned so much from you! Thank you!

  8. Love that! Loved the favorites you posted too. I agree that the different ways to wear one item are very helpful! As for BFTH, I find myself falling for that too often at this point in my walk.

  9. You have such a great sense of style! And, wow, BFTH gets to my heart every day. Sometimes it’s in a way that encourages me and sometimes it provides a very necessary kick in the butt.. like today 😉😊
I am so grateful for the inspiration you provide in the areas of fashion and faith.

  10. I really like the cardigan, I think it will look amazing in the spring as well. I am seeing a definite nautical vibe in a lot of the spring clothing on line. I think it would be interesting to style a piece that can be worn to work, but also casually. Maybe also a bit on what colors go with what – and maybe show some combinations people normally think wouldn’t go together. Thanks again for all the work you put into the blog! 🙂

  11. I purchased the coat from Amazon and I love it. My only issue is that the sizing runs very small. Had to order two sizes up to get one that fit over normal clothing. Coat still will not fit over bulky clothes, but the coat is so warm that I won’t wear anything heavy under it anyway. Thank you for styling and recommending the coat.
